They haven't seen any actual solid use in the unit, I only checked to see if the light turned blue for a second and then I put them away. I've been using a different set of 18350 Protected batteries for 7.4v and only had the Ultrafire ones sitting in my closet for use as backups after the 18350s I bought from Madvapes have been put through their paces. Earlier today I trashed the modded backup battery which wasn't cut properly and placed an order for a second set of 18350s to be designated as new backups.

Im lost, are the batteries that came with the unit bad? or are the ones that you had bad?

    On the other hand.

Have you felt ripped off? betrayed and taken advantage of?

I wouldn't necessarily say that the batteries that came with my unit were bad. The protective layer on both batteries stuck out just enough that when stacked on one another only the protective layers made contact which left a very small space between the positive and negative end of the batteries when stacked.

The day I received my unit I couldn't get the 18350s that came with my Persei to fire so I ordered a new pair from Madvapes and they were at my door two days later. I dabbed around on 3.7v with the Rev DART system in the mean time to tide me over until the new 18350s came in the mail. I successfully filled a 5 Ohm cart with .8g then tossed in the new batteries I received and proceeded to take 15 or so solid pulls off of it.

Once I was nicely medicated I decided to take another look at my original 18350s and sure enough upon closer examination I finally figured out why they weren't firing properly. I attempted to cut away the protective layer so they could make full contact but got a little sloppy at the end and it ripped part of the protective cover away which exposed part of the battery. I should have been more diligent in doing this. I only checked to see if they would light up the blue Persei light and that was the extent of their use before putting them in the closet for a rainy day when the 18350s from Madvapes go out on me. I should have a new set of 18350s here Tuesday to keep in the closet as backups.

I accuse you of being too polite (a rare charge indeed these days), let me answer the man's question simply for you? Yes, they were defective. They did not work as intended. No way around that.

IMO it's important for G to know that, he doesn't want to be shipping out kits that don't work. I was under the mistaken impression you'd bought these guys (they're different from the batteries that came with mine), G spotted it. I'm sure he rightly wants to see it doesn't happen to others.

So yes, IMO they're defective. Dollars to doughnuts he sends some free replacements your way.....and a guy really can't have too many charged batteries standing by can he?

Guilty as charged, good Sir! From that view, yes the batteries were defective. I don't believe that G is shipping out kits that don't work by any means...especially if he hasn't been shipping kits which contain two 3.7volt 1200mah 18350 Trustfire batteries. I'm almost positive that PlanetVape swapped out the original batteries from the kit and replaced them with Trustfire batteries. I just so happen to have a few fluke batteries that had thick protective casing on the terminal ends. Last week on Tuesday PlanetVape posted that they had swapped out batteries from some of the first kits.

So what about the original omicron, my buddy bought an original omicron about 6 months ago from some club in the city, charger broke on the thing and he hasnt really looked into replacing it. What can he do?

I would suggest taking a small loss and replacing the battery. It appears to be exposed a lot more than my old 18350 Trustfire that ripped while trying to modify it. My rip was on the positive end of the battery. OF said something about positive battery potential and the sun coming up inside of my Persei. That was a fair enough word of caution for me and I tossed it in the trash. Not sure if this applies to the negative side of the battery as well but I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

OK, here's the deal as I see it. That rip exposes the minus end of the battery, the same as the end. I would be fine as the bottom battery since the tube is connected to the minus of the bottom battery any way. However, if it ends up in the top spot later on and manages to somehow hit the side wall (say when it got dropped?) it would short circuit the lower battery.

I'm with Sub here, for a couple bucks you won't have to worry about it. You go to all this trouble to enjoy the gear, best to not be second guessing marginal stuff at that time IMO.

3 options I can think of. First, open a ticket, send it in, and get it replaced. I assume this is a year or less old?

Second you can buy another charger, both THC and distributors for the original and Atmos RX chargers will work.

Third option is buy the cheaper and easier to find 510 e-cig charger and use the 510 to m601 adapter sold by TV, THC, and OneLove amongst others. This latter approach also has the benefit of getting away from the usual failure mode with these guys, oil glues the center pin into the Omicron when charging then rips it out inside the charger. Even guys being careful to clean up any oil leaks have been caught. The adapter, of course, is plenty tough.

ok guys you can upgrade your non THC Scientific Device or anything else you have that is actually marketed as a vaporizer. As long as it has a website with advertised price.

We dont care if the kit is missing charger or accessories. As long as the Main unit is complete.

Yes you can even upgrade our old units.

Have you felt ripped off, betrayed and/or taken advantage of?

Don't worry, THC Scientific is for the patients, by the patients. Our company is made up of patients who use herbal medicine and understand what HAT users need. WIth that in mind, let us re-introduce you to our Upgrade program.

You can exchange your name brand Essential oil Vaporizer or your botanical vaporizer for either a 40% savings on a Chrome Persei or a nearly 40% savings off a Chrome Omicron.

So If you're not happy with your non-D9V unit, we will upgrade yours to ours for a small fee, whatever the vape.
Important: When sending your unit to us, please clean your unit, package it up properly and ship it to us along with a copy of your purchase receipt.
We will then ship out your brand new unit.

Very important, make sure all your vapes are clean!!!
We don't care if its complete we don't care if its working or not, as long as the main unit is included and clean. Please do not ship dirty units!

It's under the upgrade section, and you need to print our reciept when you purchase from our site.

120 for the Persei upgrade, 80 for the omicron upgrade.

    Hi Sublimation,
That is correct, we swapped out the original blue 18650 for the Trustfire 18650. If you read back in this thread you will see that the blue 18650's that came with the Persei's could not provide enough juice to power the double top with two cartridges attached. As soon as this problem was identified we immediately removed the blue 18650 batteries from all our kits and replaced them with the Trustfire 18650's which were issued to us by delta9 as replacements for the blue 18650's.

The Trusfire 18350's which you are talking about have NOT been swapped, they are the original OEM batteries that came included with all Persei's. We have had very few issues with any of the Trustfire batteries, almost all the problems with the smaller 18350 batteries are a result from not adjusting the battery tension plate in the Persei properly.

Heck yes! I actually by sheer coincidence just killed a cart this morning. :( Looks like I'll wait to replace it with one of these babies.

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered but are the hercules carts double-able on the double top? or is it strictly a one at a time kind of deal?

    Thanks!
