Getting the LB in Europe is a real hassle. Very few stores have it (online), and even if they do, the price is always above 100 euros (that's $135 for you USanians).

I hope there will be some better European distribution in place before the PA is ready for prime time! Magic Flight, you hear?

I really dont think it's a "kink" considering the PA was probably made like this so if something goes wrong MF can get in there and fix it. This is just something that one needs to keep an eye on every few weeks if the owner uses it as much as I do. But ill take my fingernail and 2 seconds every few weeks to continue getting wicked great box rips over batts anyday :)

Still, if an iso swab and a slight little button check once a week isn't shit for upkeep IMO

I'm in US saw LB in local shop awhile back and they wanted $150 for it. After asking about the 'local' discount I was told $125 lol. I didn't buy but wanted to see what deal was as people ask about them all the time. Just heard the other local shop getting some this week too. Waiting to see what they sell them for.

@JD - I did try your tip but alas it didn't fix my issue. It's odd because the battery insert gets HOT but it just doesn't heat the LB like it did...even on full power. I've emailed MF. These things are to be expected with new things and I'm not bothered by it at all. I have a stockpile of batteries and I'm confident in MF's customer service.

Alert:

For those of you who may be considering purchasing your Magic-Flight Launch Boxes online, please pay particular attention that you are working with a reputable vendor. It has come to our attention recently that a stolen Box was being re-sold on Ebay. The vendor was attempting to protect their fraudulent activities by sanding off parts of the engraving on the back. Unfortunately, a customer who purchases a unit that is in any way deliberately damaged cannot be covered by our warranty.

In the same way that you would not want to purchase a used car from anyone who had sanded off the VIN numbers, you will definitely want to report any vendors who are engaged in deceitful practices. If you or someone you know has purchased a Box that does not have the complete engraving on the back, please 1) flag that vendor as illegitimate in the forum where they do business, and 2) let us know by sending us an email with what information you have. This is necessary so that other purchasers do not fall into the same trap. Of course, you will also want to see if you can get your money back -- on Ebay for example, you can declare the product as "materially not as described" and force the vendor to issue a refund.

If you have a nice vape setup already you might want to wait till Magic Flight make all their improvements and put out the production version. The beta PA is awesome, a game-changing modification that puts the unit in competition with the home/tabletop vape market. Originally I did not take the Lift Box that seriously except as a portable, because all the battery charging, awareness of the charge levels in a battery, dealing with the tight fit between battery and box, etc made it seem too fussy compared to a log vape. With the PA you can insert the battery probe into the box and leave it there. To operate the unit you plug in the adapter and press the tiny black button. Instant on! For certain situations (where leaving a log vape on and visible not so good) this works out well.

So after looking around it looks the Powerex AA 2700mAh NiMH Rechargeable Batteries are good to get. Just wondering what Ah are the batteries that actually come with the MF

Oh wow!! That really stinks! Dishonest people piss me off :(

@cjb695 - I believe the stock batteries are 2000 mah. The 2700's last a bit longer though generally battery MAH's are overstated. There is a noticeable difference between the stock and PowerEx. Both work well, the powerex's last longer in use with more MAH.

I think the stock batteries were 2400 Mah "Immedion" batteries. These are the type that hold the charge fairly well when stored. The 2700's are the other type, and discharge fairly quickly if left lying around.

Gunky,

Correct me if im wrong but i believe MF ships the box out with 2400mah LSD maha imendons now a days, they used to ship out with 2000mah sanyo enloops though which may be what Lo has and is referencing.

So if your box is relatively new, 2400mah, if older they're probably 2000mah.

Yeah everything I've read says stock batts are 2400 but that has me thinking because my peeled stocks are labeled 2000 and I got my box less than 2 weeks ago (ordered from blisssville) I'll try to get a picture of them up later. If Magic Flight is lurking still maybe they can chime in again although they probably have a dozen times by now.

I think the 2000 on the peeled batteries is just part of a serial or batch number. The stock ones that came with the MFLB had 2000 as part of a long serial. Some Immedions I bought had 2200. I think it's just coincidence and the number does not tell mah.

That would make more sense as I don't recall any MaH before or after the number. In any case Batteries + is on my way home from work and I just can't resist the 2700's any longer. Funny how a month ago I had never vaped before, stumbled on this site and now have an EQ and MFLB as well as upgraded silicone tubing for the EQ and now upgraded batteris for the MFLB. I'm sure some GonG pieces and the PA are next if my wife doesn't kill me. Smoked herb everyday and cigarettes often beforehand now both are revolting. Huge shift for me and I love it :D

Guys i need advice.

I live in Italy and want to buy my brother a MFLB for his birthday, which is in 2 weeks. From what I understand, buying from Blisssville will take ages if you live in europe.

Does anyone know a good EU store where to buy it? with fast shipping?

Thanks a lot!

My first LB took six days to reach Spain from the U.S.. Second LB for a friend a week.
That was the eBay seller

I bought "a lot" cheaper than the prices asked, 87 euros:. 2c:

+1 on that!!

The 2700's don't rate 2700 either... Rate in the 2400-2500 range on the maha9000 charger.

My stock batts can read 2000-2100 range.

#50 PA in Spain... Some Vaped ideas...

A good way to not lost your rubber bands... and is useful for the problem of the rubber feet in the PA, even if the PA rotates.

For those people who want more info in your PA, with sticker paper (this image is only for illustrate the idea) we can do a custom "Control Panel", even put a thin sticker in the wheel for the marks of the sweet spot for kief, MJ, or other aromatherapy herbs. When I finish, wth sticker paper and all, I will post a better picture.

Thanks JD!!

GON,
Hi folks,

My roomates and I just started vaping with the MFLB, and we're doing the:
- Count to 3
- Start inhaling very slowly, till 80%
- Pull battery, finish till capacity
- Exhale

With the same green, we're getting nowhere near the "HOO-HOO" from Lebong James--stictly just a full body, while still being very capable and comprehensible.

Any suggestions to attain the same, strong effects from Lebong James?

This is probably still the most up-to-date stuff on MF batteries:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magic-Flight_Launch_Box#Batteries

There's one thing I take issue with regarding the use of batts as stated in vaporpedia, and that is that HSD's can take a 15 minute charge without any damage and LSD's can't. From everything that I have read over at CandlePower (the FC of batteries), using a 15 minute charger other than for emergency purposes, is not recommended for any batt.

The recommended charge rates for NMHI regardless if they are LSD's or not, is 0.5C to 1C which equates to a one to two hour charge.

PS. How can I put the images on the post?

The handwritten MF.com logo is classic :)

You can always try using your MF sticker...

If you think something in a Vaporpedia entry is incorrect, log in and fix it.

I removed "without damage" from the entry. I think the rest is correct as it stands. Let me know if you still have issues, or better yet, fix it yourself. ;)

Is the power adapter worth the money? I considering having my old lady buy the beta adapter for my birthday but wanted to ask about it first.. I've seen jd's video on it but is it still working good for the time you've had it? No problems out of it so far?

Yes its soooooooooo worth it!!

Ive come across a slight minor issue with the PA. Now keep in mind i've had the PA for over a month and have virtually used it all day everyday.....

Yesterday I noticed that on full power the LB light wasn't as bright as it used to be. It def worked, but was slacking off. So then I noticed that the housing around the activate button had ever so slighly come loose. Like the + end, there are 2 tiny raised dots on the disks surrounding the button. I turned it about a half a turn or so and tightened up. BOOM!!! I think the light is brighter than originally and it hits harder than ever!!!

The connection must have somewhat loosened up and a quick tighten (and now I know to keep and eye on it) was the trick. Seriously, it hits like a freight train again :)

So when will the production adapter come out? Is it worth waiting on or should i just purchase the beta adapter since i have the link to it? If they're not gonna change anything hardly from beta to their production model i might as well go ahead and buy it but i want some opinions on whether to wait on it or not... Isn't it supposed to be out middle of february? (thats a long time to wait cuz i'm a very impatient person)... I plan on having my girlfriend order it for me next week as an early birthday present :D... I'm interested to see full potential of the magic flight because i've had my unit for around 3 months now and only used the batteries its came with.. Does the job but i can only imagine what it will be like at full potential :brow:
