I should have brought my mighty.
I'd never ever trust ANY vape to be my only option under ANY circumstanceYup. Actually when I read your post about going on a trip with the Hopper and no back-up I thought that was pretty adventurous. The Might is a typical german product: not sexy at all, a bit lame but very reliable and well engineered. The capsule system is another great plus for a travel vape although I prefer the crafty for stealthy public use. The crafty plus an 8 AH powerbank should get anyone thru a day and is even easier to carry than a Mighty.
My RMAd Hopper works fine as ever but I'd never, ever trust it to be my only option under ANY circumstances.

I'm sorry but I can't actually agree with that. But we are all entitled to our opinions.
Bowl is too small, and lighters can still die; I stand by my statement, always bring a backupHave you been introduced to any Dynavap products? All you need is a $60 M and a heat source. It's the Survivalist's Vaporizer of Choice-you can find them in bomb shelters all over North America.

Crafty's can die too, but yes ... those are actually both things that are always in my travel it.The Crafty plus powerbank would be my best bet, if I had to.

Yeah ... I agree that they are relatively reliable, but you can have a thermal fuse go at any point, which would make it dead in the water. Also running with weaker batteries causes high current flow at some connection points which causes corrosion and increased heat and eventual failure over time. Generally devices with lower # of hours can be counted on, but as you get up there in # of hours, or if you like to run your batteries dead, or if you run at really high temps, all of these things increase risk of failure. Most (european) dealers reckon the Storz + Bickel products as most reliable with the lowest return rates. The impression that there are lots of broken Craftys out there is probably based on the fact that for a long time they were the way most sold vaporizers worldwide. So even a very low failure rate will result in a large number of warranty cases.
100 % agree . Any electronic device can stop working , for several reasons . The OmniVap now is my daily driver , if the GH comes back from RMA good , otherwise I got no problems at all. It's super portable ( 6 cm ) weights nothing and WORKS GREAT . And naturally have no issues at all , finally freedom from daily battery charging , very efficent , 0.1 four or five great hits in four/five sessions, no smell . I passed two 15 days Holydays abroad with one or both my vapes out , no more. The only stupid thing could happen this year is to lose it, it's so small .Have you been introduced to any Dynavap products? All you need is a $60 M and a heat source. Tried Stickybrick ? I dont think Dynavap will ever be for me because how the bowl and heat up works but also never wanted a butane vape until I tried the brick and now I wanna get moreDynavap vapor quality is significantly worse than most (if not all recent) electornic vapes and you still have to deal with butane and lighters not working constantly. I've yet to find a reasonably priced butane lighter that will last any significant amount of time. The striker always goes out.

just hate how A) loud they are B) how loud they are
It isn't my opinion that the vapor from a dynavap is significantly lower quality than from a Grasshopper or most other recently released electric portables. Anyone who knows anything about vapor knows that is a fact. Now you may prefer lower quality vapor but that isn't what we're discussing. This is not a fact , is your opinion . I got both and found vapor quality significantly the same , both top quality. About the deal I got with butane and lighters , bought one double fire at the local hardware shop for 3 € , works perfect , last one week and then I charge it in circa ten seconds . I like GH so much when it works but I'm leaving for Holydays and I repeat : No thanks , even if I had it I'd take in group with a more reliable one .
Just curious .... you can polish off 0.3 to 0.4g in 2 bowls/4-6 hits in less than 5 minutes including loading, unloading, and cleaning? Because that is what a working Hopper does for me ... I should definitely pick up a dynavap if it can do this for me ... I was under the impression it wouldn’t work for larger and back to back bowls ... where it could quickly be done in a setting like standing outside a hotel for instance ...This is not a fact , is your opinion . It seems there is a decent demand for the bodies. I didn’t understand the appeal initially but I am a fan of having a backup so if people want to buy bodies they might as well sell them.
See the Hopper I pretty much always use through water, or at the very least with a glass piece without water, to get huge bong style hits (ie. kill .15-.2g in 2-3 hits). This is the purpose it serves for me when travelling. .075 x2 would leave me unsatisfied almost all the time, ... I would require minimum of .075 x4 unless it was just a top-up to a session I had had <30 minutes earlier. Even with a Hopper I find 0.15 x2 to be insufficient and often find myself doing that once, and then again 15-20 minutes later. I've owned >40 vapes over the last 7-8 years, and ALL portables (except the Grasshopper), leave me unsatisfied, to the point where I feel like the amount of time it takes me to get there with session style vapes I could pretty much vape constantly, as by the time I've gone through the amount of material I need to get where I want to be, it's almost time to start over! Maintenance and convenience of portable concentrate/pen style vapes I just havn't found a winner yet (although I did use my Quartz Quest w/ my Zapubler a bunch while on vacation ... I'm sure I went through about 3g of rosin over the course of a week that way.)The Vapcap is very efficient with bud and I get where I want to be on much less material than with other vapes.
You can load, heat, toke, repeat x2 and dump your ABV inside a minute if you heat with a quad jet lighter, which will bring you to toking temps in about 4 seconds. I have no idea why you could not load as many back to back bowls as you like. The tip can hold about .075 grams per load. Closer to .1 gms if your bud is on the dry side. I maintain a lower tolerance and one session for me is about .015 which I vape every few hours throughout the day. But the Vapcap is very efficient and you may find you need less bud than you use now to get the same effects. You can easily finish a bowl in one continuous heat and toke if you wish. It's a manual vape so your results depends on your ability to control your outcome. Not everyone can or wants to drive a manual.
Sorry for the off topic response. Full disclosure; I don't have a Grasshopper, nor have it tried one. Bit I've read about the hot mp and the hot vapor that is produced and I believe that the GH would be too harsh for my sensitive lungs. Plus there is the reliability factor...
I know I've gone off on a tangent here ... but I am going in to great detail on how the Hopper truly is irreplaceable for the niche that it serves ... unless there is something else out there equivalent that I am not aware of ... (I don't think the dynavap is it ...)What thread is this again
