Thanks @mitchgo61 I just changed out the screen with relative ease using Sarah's method, easy peasy
Yes!! with the right finesse every hit is quite flavorful! This thing is simply wonderful. So many ways to customize your desires.
I hope you guys don't mind my fragmented comments here and there but I noticed something counterintuitive (actually me being a bit slow and a little special) using the unit last night. I found myself thinking that the glow meant that was applying heat and when the glow would go away it must be not necessary to keep drawing. In other words I was trying to sync my draw to the visual cue. This is only partly true and here is the minor adjustment that made all the difference for me:
Turn it on. Green light.
Hit heat button to pre-heat for 2-4 seconds. Glow.
Begin to draw while continuing to hold heat button down. Glow begins to fade to no glow. Let off the button but CONTINUE YOUR DRAW even though the glow fades because the chamber is still at optimal temperatures and this is where I really noticed the flavor and thickness of vapor. Wow! Simply wow. So much flavor. So instant it's mind bending.
Hope that helps!
Ok, in case anyone would like a visual material comparison between the Pax (left) and the FireFly (right). These are full loads for both units. Sorry I don't have a scale, but I'm guessing the FireFly loads about 1/2-2/3 that of the Pax.
I love the small amount the firefly uses. It is perfect for my use habits.
Europe is still waiting for this exclusive vaporience
Me too. I've had an FF load carry me a couple of days. Which is why the battery life has never bothered me. (But I'm still looking forward to my spare batt and charger.)
My use and sentiments are the same exactly brother. As for the spare battery and charger they are certainly leisure extenders for the Firefly. It is so nice to always have a fully charged battery.
With the way we use the Firefly the battery life this actually tremendous.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I'm thinking that vaporizing plus convection plus FF equals maximum efficiency, maximum flavor and maximum medicinal potency available to date?
I prefer my Plenty in all three areas, but it's a nice device.
I love the Firefly and it is my favorite vape, however, I have gotten pretty blazed from a volcano, MFLB, Ti nail/carb cap and many, many, more. No, I can't say the Firefly has got me any more medicated than other devices.
I think the MFLB is the most efficient vaporizer to date.
I can say the vapor the Firefly produces is the most enjoyable and smooth vapor I have ever had the pleasure to pass through my lips.
In a nice portable package? Yeap!
Is the Plenty a portable?
I'll bet my Cloud beats it as well, but it seems like apples and oranges.
I've only experienced the following and I'll put them in order of preference:
I agree that all of them get the job done (medicated) but it seems that the FF and MFLB conserves the material best, IMO. It's funny because I think of the MFLB as Bruce Banner and the FF as The Hulk!
Except unlike the Hulk, you WILL like the Firefly when it's angry.
Hard to judge all that but most of us notice a "vape signature" with each vaporizer. Anyways, conduction pales in comparison to convection for taste.
Does anyone have a comparison link anywhere between the flashvape and this for flavor? And is the Solo flavor that much different as well between this?
@steama ? for you....How often do you clean your FF?? it has been 4 days since i last cleaned mine. the screen looks good and the hits seem to taste way better now, but i will probably clean it when i get off work later today.
I clean my Firefly everyday my friend.
Damn...well i guess i better get with the program then! I am predicting a shortage of ISO and Q-tips stock FF owners...stock up!!
I like to do this as well. It makes sure the vapor channels around the bowl are as open as they should be and it makes sure that residue on the lid and the base do not prevent a perfect seal. It also prevents material from coming back to your mouth. Of course I am saving every cue tip head for later extraction...
ok so how are you going to extract from the qtip head? Educate me on this!
Q-tip head is just wound cotton so a solvent such as ethanol will work. Or one could vape the cotton itself...
file 13 — trash can
If I get lazy this will be my course of action as well!
