    Hey guys...

Wasn't really trying to be the one to start a thread but I did make a video review of this unit.

Can't really say I come around much to answer questions and what not. Kind of busy.

But I figured I would put this video up and let everyone see my new Favorite Vape Pen. It's real cool. Seems very solid and durable. Quality so far seems legit and it's priced good for what u get.

The 710Pen mini goes HARD. Big Clouds.

Isn't that just another joyetech battery with an ego-w on it? You're working backwards from the ThermoVape/Omicron/Persei as far as I can tell. How does it differ from a G-Pen or any other ego-w style pen?

Hey fc I bought one of these 710's on a impulse last week locally, smoke shop at the corner had them for 80 buck. After some research I was a little dissapointed to learn that this is a ecig but all in all it does what I bought it to do so Ive learned to love it.

So I have a few questions before I make another impulsive purchase.

Can I buy ecig cartomizers like the ones that come with the 710 pen? Without any wicks.
And the mini skillet can I get that part from a ecig store?
Also can I get any suggestions for different cartomizers to try out with the 710 battery?

Not trying to hate on the 710 calling it a ecig cause i really do love it. I would buy it all over again just to learn that there are wickless carts (almost bought the stok pen) But if I can save some $ on spare accessories I would like to.

    Thanks in advance FC..

Look in the forum and figure out what brand will suit you. Without knowing you and your medicating needs it will be tough to suggest anything.

You need to upload it to a photo sharing site like Photobucket.com and post the IMG code.

I'm 90% sure it's an ego-w, google that and see what pops up.

*edit* It looks like it is in fact an ego-w with a proprietary "funnel" shoved in the top.

I see it now! I looked at the ego w before posting but ignored them because of the wick. Maybe the wicks come out easy? I dont even use the funnel on the 710 I just use the heating element so i have no need for it.

Im just gonna order a variety of carts up and see what I like. Guess I was over thinking it Thanks dub for the help.

Yes, you can easily get the wick out. That in fact is probably all they are doing, pulling the wick and adding a piece of metal above the heating element. I wouldn't call it a design for oil/wax, more of a Frankencart. It will no doubt work seeing as the ego-w is every new Vape companies latest design. The problem is that they were designed for use with e-juice, not for our application. Not many e-cig guys are going for a 45sec draw seeking massive clouds of nicotine liquid.

Good luck with your experiments. Unfortunately that means you'll loose concentrate with the looser carts at the least.

Be sure to get one of the thread adapters and a few Omicron 2.4 Ohm carts to add to the test, dollars to doughnuts they come up the winners. It's very hard to compete with a purpose built oil cart, with modified carts intended for other duty. This is one that feeds well, usually doesn't leak and seldom burns oil. My advice is to test them first, doing it the other way around will be wasting your money..........

That's great. If it wasn't so sad it would be even funnier to me I guess. Folks waste their money on them IMO when they could be buying more concentrates...... That's a sin you know.

"Every new Vape company's latest design". Love it.

Still, to keep it in some perspective, overpriced reworked e-cig carts are a whole lot better than blazing is.

Its crazy if your not up on the e cigarettes its easy to get got by all these guys knocking them off. Even my local head shop pushes these things. I mean it'd be fine if they priced them inline with ecigs but damn 100 dollars.

O well atleast I learned me something. I was like a second away from ordering a 5 pack of carts and the mini attachment(ego-c) the other day @ a 80% markup from 710 so Im glad I found you guys first.

Im going to try a few carts for now omicron, ego c, and ego w and see how those do me.

Thanks again guys, and sorry to newb up the forum but you guys really did help me out, its a little overwhelming at first and hard to believe that someone would be so bold to charge so much more for the exact same product.

Could you not just make a PG or VG tincture and vape that with an e-cig?

You can, of course, but it's not much good. The THC level is very very low really. There are improved schemes involving mixing PG with oil (as much as 4:1) with lots of mixing and keeping it hot but that doesn't work anywhere near as good as Omicron carts.

In fact, G (owner of D9) used to be 'in the business' and developed the Omicron cart specifically to address this problem. There's a Grass City forum thread he started on the topic where he gives his best formulas out (since they've been superseded by Omicron performance) but I lost the link in a computer crash. I've posted it here a number of times, perhaps someone has it handy?

Bottom line is the best you can hope for is maybe 1/4 strength vapor mixed with 3/4 carrier (PG) you don't want. And half of that is left behind in the damp batting in the cart when it's exhausted.

Start with conventional tincture and you get a small fraction of that. Numbers tossed around are about 1/10 at best.

If this were really a good way to go, trust us we'd be doing it......

Great, good luck with it. Please let us know how it turns out? TIA

A bit related but there is bud carts that designed for pure gold(and other concentrates with similar consistency). Is that was D9 was making/using, pure gold?

The 710 doesnt use glycerin does it? I enjoy it more than my other portable vapes and it was half the cost. Why is it a downgrade from the omicron or persei?

Omicron/Persei are built for use with oils in mind, not an e-cig cart/tank. The stuff designed for e-cigs will break faster and not work as well as something purpose built for oil/wax. You can buy that same device minus the branding for $15-$20 on an e-cig site but since it is now for oil it's $100, hahaha! I get a straw when I want to drink soda, not a spoon. They will both get liquid in my mouth but the one designed for the job will work better every time.

Carefully consider what DubC just said, it's gold IMO. No cheap e-cig stuff was ever intended to chain hit high power carts. They didn't design in that ability because nobody would pay for it.......

No need to build for heat and heavy duty that won't happen, right? Only guys that 'retask' them to this use weren't in the original plan.

Very frail and marginal even when it works well for a bit. It never seems to last more than a few weeks at best. IMO it's a sucker move to get you to think otherwise. It was never intended to last. Never. Even the e-cig makers who really built the stuff know that.

"Cheap as possible" is not a good design philosophy for our uses and you know the guys selling modified junk for oil use used that measure when they 'developed' their 'revolutionary new technology'. They want your money......and ironically your repeat business (not much motivation to offer reliable gear is it?).

For basically the same money you're (IMO) wasting on such stuff you could buy an O-Phos and be on easy street, rather than fighting the gear you should be enjoying.

    Your call.
