I've noticed it with CO2 extracts, yeah.My first bit of concentrate that used CO2 as a solvent:
Super tasty, runny, and light amber like clover honey.
Very heady, probably the strongest stuff I have used.
It did however make a very slight hissing noise when applied to the nail, maybe some water still in there?
I was a little surprised at the noise considering the cost, but the effects were stupendous!
I use CO2 and distillate (the clear) in vape pen carts since they don't taste very good dabbed.
do you have to break it down or is this sappy stuff wick worthy? sorry for the off topic...I will go take a picture so I can get us back on topic
I don't treat it any differently honestly. I guess I am just a little more careful handling it because of how sticky it is.
The distillate I have doesn't taste bad... I mean it doesn't taste "good" at all as it's raw but really refined (like 94% refined) and lacks the terpenes. It's a different high for sure, more clinical if that makes sense? Besides a couple of the "flavored" The Clear Concentrate dabs I have not had fractionally distilled oil before so I'm not sure what I should be looking for regarding taste. It's good enough for me to dab off my quartz banger and very low volume water pieces (check the last few pages of the "Recent Glass Acquisitions" thread to get an idea of how little water). I do prefer to mix a little bit of it with a little bit of rosin for the terpiness of the rosin
I've only had one CO2 extract that has tasted decent enough to dab, and it was some Sour Diesel. To give you an idea of how good it tasted, I dabbed about .25 of the 1 gram I got, and like you said, it was better suited for vape pen setups and to sandwich a little bit in between some flowers.
yup, just checked my phone and online album... it was very tasty and melted down this beautiful little puddle of clear gold. The distillate, as long as you don't dab it too hot, basically melts down to a very light yellow, almost clear sometimes.
