Lawsuit is a rumor. Not real :-). And I was the one who asked about the atomizer. That’s really what I wanted to know. If I could break it somehow. But apparently not. Cool :-)

ConstantGems has some SiC inserts it looks like they're getting ready to sell. They look thinner than both the Sneaky Pete one, and the Fadespace one, which should reduce the issues I was heaving with those. They've posted a cold start video on green and blue... pretty interesting if those are actually the results. Red wouldn't work for me with the other dishes and I'm not trying to do some silly trick to make it work, so these definitely look promising...

I am hoping to get my hands on one and will report back... am still not sure if EQ intends to send me the correct insert, kinda chuffed about all that.

On reddit some dude claimed in December to know a Lawyer who was starting it and had info if people were interested. Puffco put out an ad looking for General Counsel around the same time could be unrelated who knows.

As for that strain central dude i just found out about him and watched that youtube video. Imo he is a complete joke. Says he got the “news” about the puffco lawsuit through instagram and he then took credit for spreading it all over. If your only source of information is Instagram thats a major red flag. Then he goes on to say he had a puffco peak and used it daily for a month but it wasnt for him so he didnt invest in one or promote it blah blah blah before going on to trash talk puffco the rest of the time in the video. He also claims people go through 8 Atomizers a month and the peaks have a failure rate of 40%.

Sounds like he got all his info from instagram comments.

The lawsuit is not a rumor. An attorney from the firm suing puffco emailed him and he posted it to his instagram. Her info is on his instagram for people wanting to join the suit.

Ok what I would say is that maybe that attorney is in the process, but Puffco has not been made aware of any situation like that. Roger is very adamant that it's just a rumor and nothing has happened on his end. Nevertheless, I have no reason to doubt Roger, and he's on that Instagram live every night using his Peak. I have never seen a CEO do a live instagram every night after work. [Hint: Cough Hopper Labs Cough where the hell are they]

Personally, I have not used the Peak for any length of time yet. Friday is when I'm gonna pick up. about 8 grams of premium concentrates, so I'll definitely put the Peak through its paces.

I don't think Roger / Puffco are actively trying to screw people. It's very clear that Roger loves Puffco and his company, and his products. Peak Day is a pretty incredible thank you to the community. I know he really wants to get 710 Labs there, but I'm not sure if that's happening LOL. I can almost guarantee they are gonna run out of dabs. It's gonna be a shit show LOL! My only wish is that I was going to that. Also, I sure hope no accidents happen when people are doing dabs and riding the go carts. In fact, Roger said not to leave your peak anywhere so you're gonna have your Peak in the go-cart? Seems like a recipe for disaster. LMAO.

Anyhow, back on topic. I've seen people use the Peak on YouTube / Instagram a lot. They all seem to love it. Dude who recommended it to me, loves it. I can't wait till Friday till I can dig in.

Ok last off-topic thing, don't be mad. But everyone complaining about Roger and Puffco, must not have a Grasshopper. LOL

I think I have been one of the people vocal about its unreliability...AND I STILL LOVE IT! LOL. For real, I am on my Third base and 7 Puffco atomizers in and I am still buying parts for it and using it daily. Funny enough both of my "homemade rebuild" atomizers are going strong. I use different inserts in each atty and rotate while I clean the other in iso, works out well plus I only have to remove a dish after an iso soak when if I need to torch clean it. My only thought on it is that they should extend the base warranty to 3 years because of the known issues, and when they make a new, more robust atty, send one to the people who have a valid receipt. I realize neither of those things are going to happen, but that would squash any lawsuit rumors IMO.

So about my new Puffco Peak purchases! yesterday I got in a couple of opaque bottom inserts and a full opaque insert. These are really nice, probably my new go-to insert. Performance seems good on green with both.

And I finally bit the bullet and got some custom glass for it, 2 actually but neither have come in yet. One is a custom klein that should be epic, I will post pics of that when it arrives as well as more of this one when it's in hand. Colors are Royal Jelly and Hot Sauce! this is going to be my traveler. I snagged this piece from A1 glass, Pukinbeagle's shop mate. It has a sweet looking 8 polished hole perc all facing the back, function looks on point for such a pretty/small piece.
Function video is at the end of this IG clip.

I agree with @newVaper420 seems like theyre trying to get enough people to make it a class action lawsuit and doesnt look so good having the attornys email asking if some dude who has admitted on youtube to never owning, purchasing or supporting the company if he wants to join the lawsuit

its a smart business plan, invest money in research and design and beta testing for however long they did, spend money to mass produce something with the intent of knowingly producing products that dont work so you can pay expedited shipping for both you and the consumer to replace it also for free. oh on top
of paying trumps tariffs.. Makes sense.

If this even makes it to a court I would expect it to be thrown out similar to Microsoft Xbox lawsuits

Im almost there with you. have gone through 3 bases although I did purchase the peak when it first came out so it was expected. I havent had any issues with the base since they replaced it the last time probably around June/July.

Atomizers ive gone through 3, I broke 2 that were my fault (they replaced the 1st one i broke and the 3rd one that died when my peak base overheated)

I average about 5 months with an atomizer using them daily 3-4 times a day.

That attchment looks great and you got a great deal on it. I would suggest playing with the water levels, it seemed a little low in his video if you can add a little more water while avoiding splash back you might be able to get more of a chug from it. My attachment is a lil different but seemed a little airy when i the artist filled it up, I added like a few more drops
and it made all the difference

Without knowledge of anything directly related to any claims made, a class action lawsuit is a big, ol', dang deal. If it actually makes it to court and is certified, puffco will settle. It would be cheaper than trying to defend it. While they don't need a number of people with the same issue up front, once filed and before certification of a class, all the attorney has to do if find the requisite number of people with the same problem to have a chance. Right now, depending on where it would be filed and the specific facts, all they need are anywhere from 22 to 40 people who's claims are so similar that having a single trial will give justice to the entire class.

Do you think a motivated attorney could find 40 disgruntled Peak purchasers with the same problem?

The Xbox decision had to do with procedural hoop jumping that would give a group the right to appeal if the class is not certified and is not really relevant to the facts here other than to show why the attorney might be looking to bring together a class informally before spending a lot of money doing court notifications to bring together a class.

The [One weird trick that class action defenders hate] in the Xbox case is a little hard to explain without knowing the audience. Basically, you can't appeal until a judgment is final. A class certification is not a final decision on the merits so if a class was denied, the class could not appeal the decision. Why? Because such a holding would not harm any of the individual plaintiffs' legal rights as they could just continue their suits individually. Usually the individual harm to a plaintiff is so small, few would litigate on their own without joining a class so a denial--while not removing any rights, makes continuing the case not worthwhile financially.

So, the "trick" was, once there was a denial of class the plaintiffs wanted to appeal, they would file dismissals of their individual cases with prejudice (meaning they could not file again)--thus making the denial of class a "final" decision for them which is then appealable. RBG wrote the 8-0 decision saying; Um, yeah. No, you can't do that.

The Xbox case issue at the Supreme Court did not have anything to do with the underlying claims but on the one weird trick to get an appeal of a class denial.

Hey guys. We've been using our Peak for a few weeks now and we're loving it. It was pretty awesome out of the box but me being me I had to go ahead and mod it. I went for a Sneaky Pete sic insert, a ball cap, a couple 4mm sic "terp pearls" (ball bearings), and I have a rip tide style ball cap on order right now too. We mainly only use it for breaks at work and when we're out and about but it's been really awesome. So far zero issues but I do have a spare coil just incase. From everything I've read and seen on youtube though the latest generation of base and coil seem to hold up as long as they are cared for so we're doing regular maintenance and being super careful to keep the water from goin into the base.

Has anyone ordered one of the rebuild kits from @puffcoilrepair on instagram? he says it comes with 5 replacement heaters and a tool to help rebuild the atomizers and he charges $70 for 5 heaters an the tool. @mrbonsai420 how are you rebuilding yours? I'd like to find the proper heaters online somewhere for a lot cheaper than the puffcoilrepair guy is charging and I know they're probably somewhere for super cheap. i guess it might be time to pull out the multimeter and measure the size of the heater and start doing some research unless someone's beat me to it. If not I'll post back if I find them anywhere.

Is there a consensus best aftermarket bucket? Looking to try something other than the stock ceramic.
I gave up on trying to find a quartz insert i liked, Tried a few different brands they all chazzed too easily and taste wasnt that much better compared to the ceramic. At least for me I know some people that love them.

The opaque ones might be a little better but ive never tried them.

Ive seen mixed reviews for the SiC also but i think that was due to a defect issue. causing them not to sit flat.

The Carta comes with both a quartz and Ti insert, and most of the reviews im seeing people are saying they prefer the titanium insert.

If there was a better insert than the ceramic i feel like they would include it or add it to their site as an accessory

I love my opaque quartz bucket from crystal star quartz. Greekglass.com has some cheap opaque quartz cups for the peak if you want to save some money. I also love my eternal quartz thin bottom insert. I really want their opaque splash guard insert, because I feel like it would help save oil and atomizers.

You dont get black stains on the thin eternal quartz insert? After one dab on blue i would have residue that would need to be burned off to be cleaned?

Peak is awesome at what it does..soooo convenient to take in the car or anywhere tbh. Ceramic is decent at what it does...haven’t tried inserts yet...who has found the perfect functioning cap ??working on a nerd bubble atm vheers !

I use the EQ Marble Cap, before that I had the Puffco Bubble Cap. The EQ cap is more solid and stays on the bowl pretty well. I see no reason to upgrade further after getting the EQ cap.

I couldn't get good performance out of the SiC inserts (either of the two brands I got) and I am personally NOT interested in keeping the atomizer lid slightly off, or playing Hot Cross Buns on a recorder directly before my hit so that I can maybe get a decent hit... so SiC is NOT what I will be using until someone comes out with one that works normally.

The only insert I've had luck with is an Opaque bottom quartz one from EQ (idk if it's thin/thick/regular bottom - I believe regular but no idea)

It doesn't get as hot as the ceramic imo and still gives decent enough hits for me on red. It's the only dish that's actually worked "better" for me than stock (better in the sense that pretty much only flavor is improved from the ceramic...) but it is still kinda easy to get some chazzing on the bottom of the dish. It's a quick and easy clean, and comes out better looking than the ceramic bowl in less time.

Yup. $60 + $10 shipping I think for 5 coil repairs. Not bad.

Haven't jumped on it yet... Worried about my warranty.

Those look legit to me.
I will probably have these also for sale soon too, But I was wanting to put a more complete kit together first complete with an opaque quartz insert that works well with it, plus replacement pins and spacers.

And They wouldn't know if you rebuilt your atomizer, it doesn't affect the warranty.

I'd be looking for a more complete kit as well as a good working insert. I just broke my 1st ceramic , not a fan of the quartz insert I been using at all and now I have a Opaque on the way to try out. I'd really like to try a Sic but they are pricey . Shoot me a pm when they are ready or if you need help testing. Ty

Nope! I chazzed it slightly, but it’s because I was being super lazy lol. The black residue could usually be cleaned off with some alcohol and a qtip, but if not I’d take it out and use some dark crystal glass cleaner and a qtip and it would be gone! I hit it on green, and red sometimes on accident, but it never caused any marks I had to torch off.

DC glass cleaner in a shot glass with the insert for 5 sec in the microwave and any carbon swabs right off with a qtip. (I would not recommend this with ceramic or SiC... just the quartz)

The kits look nice for sure. Hopefully the new style atomizers won't be much of a difference, and the kits will still be compatible.
