Hello fellow vaporist, I'm new to this forum :)

I've owned VG and I-inhale in the past. Got rid of both, I was worried about inhaling butane from VG, and the i-inhale produced little or no vapor at all, maybe it was a defect i had :(

Anyways, I'm done with investing in portable units, just deciding between PD and DBV for now. They're about the same price, which one would be a better buy?

I would totally recommend the PD to you man, you will not be dissapointed with it at all. The DBV is definatly a solid unit though, it wont be as efficient as the purple days but it will produce some huge clouds and is more group friendly.

Look around here for some info on not only the vapes you are looking into but their are quite a few other choices out their as well.

Ask yourself which one fits your style best. Thats the best advice I can say. Read about what each vapes capabilities are, their difference aspects and decide for yourself.

They are completely different vapes and you haven't really given us any criteria to work with...

The PD is extremely efficient with its small bowls and provides very satisfying hits according almost everyone in the almost 100 page Purple-Days Experience thread. Also see http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Purple-Days

The DBV is a whip vape with a much larger bowl. Naturally, it will provide bigger hits than the PD.

Check out some videos of both on you tube (PD vids on that vaporpedia link) and check out the relevant model threads here and you'll be able to make an informed decision.

Many people here find that the PD and SSV/DBV/VHW/etc make a good team and wouldn't want to part with either.

I think I going to go with the PD, mainly for its stealthy look and durability.:D

Like others have said, you neglected to give us what your desiring from a vaporizer... (apparently its stealth and durability from the last post).

Personally, although I LOVE my PD. I'd have a hard time having it as my sole unit. It's a work-horse and I use it everyday, basically all day, but at times, I still wanna be able to blow those clouds that just knock you on your ass.

Choices choices! :D

I'm with vtac. Get the PD. Then if you find yourself craving bigger hits, add the DBV. ;)

Whoever has plenty of money to buy extra glass pieces for the DBV and has access to all the weed in the world at the cheapest prices would enjoy the DBV very much. There is something very attractive in being able to easily "inhale" honey-goodness vapor.

Whoever hates dry spells [where it is hard to find more bud] and wants to make what they buy stretch out much longer (efficiency) and saving them money and wants a vaporizer that can take thousands of beatings and still keep on running definitely wants a PD!!!

My PD has bumps, bruises, and scars... mostly from whatever trips on the cord that sends the PD flying. It shrugs all of my klutz moves off and keeps on ticking.

I also last TWICE as long on the same bag, if not more. My PD has already paid itself off and continues to save me so much $ [prices for me are pretty high where I am].

So true HoneyAir. Currently our supply is high quality (and high priced) and not abundant, so it all gets processed through the PDs. My SSV doesn't even get turned on except to process some herb that's already been through the PD. Those who rave about the herb savings with a vape aren't even in the same ball park with us PD users. ;)

I started off with a chinese-made whip vape from eBay... I found that I saved bud with it at first, but then when my tolerance for it started kicking in and my love for such wonderful tasting inhales went up, my usage rate went back to where it was.

I tried to take as many precautions not to break my glass whip, making sure it wouldn't be able to fall on the floor/break. What I didn't take into account was something heavy from above falling onto it. :) Breaking that vape led to my PD purchase, best improvement of my situation EVER!

Inhaling with the PD at first felt like trying to suck up a too-cold chocolate milkshake from McDonalds... but its that forced draw that makes it so efficient! Only took a few tries to become totally used to that type of inhaling though...

And the nice part is that there are other drawing methods that also work, depending on the quantity, dryness and consistency of the herb you've got loaded (and your hitting preference). Sometimes I'll change up my hit method during a single draw.
