Hi, i'm new to the forum but not to vaporizer. I own a volcano and a boundless cf. I really want to try a convection portable but I don't want to spend a lot. Which is the best choose:
    Xvape fog
    Topbond novae
    Healtyrips force
    ??? Thank you all

High new guy, add the Healthy Rips Fury 2 to your list it is a hybrid convection vaporizer and a very good vapor producer.

oh yeah...go read the Fury 2 thread if you want to know more. It is hard to find a better vape for about $135.

If you want to wait a bit healthy rips is making a new, updated vape. You can read about it in the not yet released section.
As for the Fury 2, I'm not sure what size bowl you need. But it would be simple to buy a few dosing capsules, prefill them and switch when you want more.
A couple that you'll find here that are less known than ones in vape stores but which are great all convection vapes are the milaana, MVT, and lil bud. You can read about them in their threads. I haven't tried the lil bud - they are all fairly similar in that they are sturdy, virtually unbreakable, simple to use wood vapes. The milaana and little bud have larger bowls than the MVT.

    The bowl can be refilled.
Are you planning on using in a group setting?

Yes maybe 2 person everytimes... I know that bowl can be refilled.. but i prefer a crafty style with 0.3g dosing caps..

@Plebax if you are planning on sharing a convection vape with another person on a steady basis then as much as it pains me I would have to vote against a Fury 2.

If each session is a double session, you would not get more than 2 "sessions" on a charge.

You may want to add the Vivant Alternate to your list. They seem to have solved the problems they had with the cracking of the top caps and as an added bonus it has user swappable 18650 batteries.

Most portables have the same capacity, especially if they are in the same category?

I would consider a unit with removable batteries, as it has been advised. Especially if you want convection.

Welcome in FC @Plebax , I own both the Fog and the Novae and got a Fenix before (similar to a Utilian or Force). If you want to try true convection stick with the Fog cause Force, Fury, Novae are (supposed) hybrid and carry a lot of conduction (they are conduction vapes for me...).

Fog is full convection with all the advantages (taste&efficiency mainly) and the cons too (long and slow draws, slightly less cloudy) although it's very efficient and you can get a very brown abv if used at higher t°. This is my choice but Novae is a very tasty vape too but take time to pulll out clouds (hybrid???) and Force/Utilian/Fenix is good for smooth vapor but not for taste and clouds are a bit wispy imo...

edit: without to mention the Fog and the Novae get replacable battery!

Looking for a convection vape to use with friends. How bout a Haze Square. 4 bowls. Charge lasts all 4 bowls. Get about a .3 packed per bowl. Get about 10-15 draws off a solid bowl. Easy to clean. Can still get in on pre order phase 4 and reap all the benefits of a pre order.

Its not really about models, it's about what suits YOUR needs:
Which do you see most practical and adapted to your
-consumption (a device powerful enough to satisfy).
-habits (so it doesn't end up in drawer).

A cheap vape may be tempting for the money, but you may have to invest in a more powerful one should you fall short of performance, for example.

A mid-range model may be too much to handle if you just consume sporadically.
Although they are usually a better investment, since you can resell them easier than a cheap vape that will lose most of its resale value?

Don't worry most of us end up buying quite a few, for different reasons, purposes, etc :p
