My main priority for this vape is smell. I have glass pieces that work just fine and I use whenever I can but I need a vape for stealth. I know vaping decreases the odor all by itself but I want the best possible vape for under $250ish that has the least amount of smell leaking out. I've been looking at the MFLB mostly but it doesn't seem to be that powerful. Thanks!

I'm considering that too and possibly the Da Vinci. I don't really have access to concentrates so I'm only going to use this with herbal material.

I don't know your timing, but I would sit tight for a month and see what some of the new units coming out look like.

If you are looking at vaping flowers only, check out the Pax. It's the only vape I have ever tried so my opinion may not mean much, but I spent weeks of researching the different portables and I still think I made the right decision. I was also looking for something stealthy. I've used it while walking thru the Vegas casinos and on the Strip without anyone being the wiser. I payed $275 including tax at a local smoke shop, but you can find them online for <$250 shipped. Yes, it's a PITA to clean but so are most portable vapes. After a couple of cleanings, it'll become routine and if you clean it on a regular basis, the sticky mouthpiece problem should be solved.

Do you mean smell when you exhale or smell when transporting?

If exhalation, vapor smells no matter what kind of device you use. The terpenes are what give it that distinct scent and they vape at temps lower than thc cbd etc. The good news is that since you're vaporizing it, the smell dissipates quickly (15-30 minutes in a room, 2-5 minutes if at all outside), doesn't stick to your clothes or hair, and, in terms of evidence, leaves you only with a funny taste in your mouth and your eyes red as the devil's dick, if you'll excuse the Pineapple Express reference.

If you mean transporting, that'll depend on what you choose and at what level your herb is vaped. If you find a vape with a closed chamber you'll be golden (MFLB, Iolite, etc). The Solo can smell a bit due to the chamber being right below the mouth piece and near open air, and also if you don't clean the mouth piece chamber often. I find that freshly grounded herbs smells more, while halfway-vaped bud smells less (you vaped off most of the terpenes already).

If you keep your herb in a separate containing while transporting and only load it for when you vape, you should be golden so long as you keep your vape clean. Good luck!

^ This, check out the Ascent that's coming out next month (if everything goes according to plan).
