Hello Everyone!

I thought it was about time that I made an official KGWoodcrafts thread!

There seems to be some chatter around on the Vapcap thread regarding KGWoodcrafts stems, and I thought I would pop in and introduce myself and my father!
My name is Alyson and I have been making Dynavap stems for just over a year now. I started on a tiny little tabletop lathe that my fiance got me for my birthday, and with a little encouragement and support from my fiance and others in this community, I created KGWoodcrafts! (I have also updated my tools since then!)
My father (Dean) joined me as a maker 6 months later and we have been making premium custom wood vape accessories since!

What we do...
Currently, we primarily focus on custom Dynavap stems, but we also do 19mm stems for RBT, Stempod, Lamart, etc, we do small AVB containers, wearable rings (yes, we can match rings with stems), and a whole lot of other custom work. If you have a mind to think it, we have a lathe to make it! (And if we can't, we'll let you know ;-)

We have a special place on our website (KGWoodcrafts.com) for custom orders, and there, you can fill out the form for custom pieces, or you can browse our store and pick out something that has already been made! Some stuff on the site has become pretty popular, and those are listed as "made to order." What this means is that if you purchase a "made to order" item, it is hand made specifically for you!

We are artisan makers, and love creating and coming up with new stuff. We are always growing, learning new techniques, and streamlining our processes, to bring to you some of the most unique and beautiful designs on the market today. Stop on by and check us out!

I thought I would also attach a handful of examples of our work and show you all what we do!

Less soul, more mind
I have been using my two KG Woodcrafts every day since I got them while my trusty Omni XL is collecting dust.

Amazing quality & love to detail, highly recommended.

Also really like the variety of styles & materials you offer.

Won't be my last from KGW, that's for sure.

Got a couple orders going out, and thought I would show them off!

We've got a Macacauba glass bead filled shorty RBT Milaana 3 stem, a Walnut WPA RBT Splinter Z stem, a Dynavap Gentleman's Basic designed to fit 10mm and 14mm glass joints, a texturized Bolivian Rosewood Stempod stem, and a Bethlehem Olive Wood 5 magnet Dynavap stem stand! (I don't really plan to do the stands regularly, but it was nice for a custom order. Hope you all like them! (Edit: images didn't come through, so here's an imgur gallery!)

I think every tabletop should have a magnet block done utilizing an interesting piece of nature. Its part of 'the kit' of course :science: Personally I prefer a cup to park my VC in. Allows for an angled rest. A few more design element options for a tray. Stash containers should be part of the kit as well, in my view :brow:

And don't forget the debowler for the kit. And the tray that ties it all together.

When you come up with an excellent artistic texture element like the 'charcoal' gentleman's line, it should take on the place where a gentleman parks his wares when he comes home. 'A place for everything in my pocket' as a niche ritual completely unassuming, yet a gentleman will spend a fortune for the shrine. Obviously I am no gentleman but I do love the style of the black 'charcoal' with the rich red finish. It just wants more!

Ugh! I wish I had a tablesaw so that I could make trays! My dad has a small tray that he uses for all his pocketable EDC items, and I've always thought that was neat. It always had his watch, pocket knife, a handful of change, a rememberance stone, and a few other small items in it. I wonder if he still uses it. That said, I am going to have to come up with a nice Gentleman's set with stem, debowler AVB tube, herb stash, etc. That would be really cool.

As for the Gentleman's line, isn't that wood gorgeous?! Believe it or not, that red finish is completely natural! That's Bolivian Rosewood after it's sanded to 1000 grit and buffed. It has officially become my favorite wood. It polishes up with a shine, is resistant to splitting, is super durable, and has a crazy grain structure that I just can't seem to get enough of! I'm a sucker for wood with crazy grain structures lol.

Lastly, how the heck do you upload pictures straight to the post?! I heard FC doesn't like imgur, but every other site I try fails!

Yes, it is an absolutely excellent presentation piece. I suspected that was the natural color. Very rich. I am glad you've experience my vision for yourself. Men really do cherish these shrines although they'll deny it. I hope I sparked a spirit in there somewhere to explore this further. Maybe dad needs a band-saw for his birthday :p

All the best and keep safe.

So I've been sneakily working on a little project and thought I would share it here too! I'm currently having PayPal issues and my account is locked, but as soon as I get another system back up and running, they will be on the site!

This is the Dynavap Crossover Adapter!! You can use ANY Dynavap stem and or condenser with your 19/19 stem vapes! Imagine being able to use your favorite fancy Dynavap stem with your RBT Milaana! Or a solid strong metal stem on your Splinter Z? You want cooling? All you have to do is put a stem on that has a carb hole! There are two versions made... One that uses Tophat screens, and the other that uses S&B Dosing pods!

Team NO SLEEP!
So the adapter could replace the tip of my Omni, and would allow me to use my Omni stem with my P80?
Does your adapter accept a basket screen?

Sounds like I must have!

@SpaceManWalking so glad you're enjoying it!! I think I may have caught your post on IG, but it disappeared and I couldn't find it again for some reason.
I noticed that the Simrell stem wasn't seated on the adapter all the way. Does the vortex prevent it from going all the way on or is the oring too tight? I noticed after a few had shipped out, that not all Dynavap orings are made equal, and had to replace a few when they wouldn't slide on the stems that I was fitting them to. If it's the oring that's too tight, you might either try lubing it up with a bit of Dynabutter or swap it out with a different oring (if you have one).

If it is the vortex, and it won't fully seat on because of that, that's good info that I'll have to keep in mind if someone asks!

I'm glad you're enjoying it though! It opens up worlds of possibilities!

@khelek41girl The Vortex stem fully seats (very smoothly) without the vortex in it so it is bumping up against it. It does still seem to work without issue though. Real nice to be able to use smaller diameter stems with the RBT vapes.

The instagram post is still up but doesn't seem to be showing up in the 'tagged' photos for anyone tagged for some reason.

Oh ok good! Whew! I thought possibly some stems got out with the slightly larger diameter orings! I'm glad you are enjoying it! I find that the herb roasts a bit more evenly as well due to the slightly more restricted airflow. And having the ability to control the carb hole along with the button guarantees the perfect vapor temps!

@FlyingLow I haven't actually tested the Omni with it yet, but I think the condenser might get in the way of the Tennon (the part of the adapter that gets inserted into the stem). Because of how the Omni works, by cutting off the air flow by pushing the condenser into the tip creating a seal, I think the condenser would get in the way. Now, that being said, you could use the Omni body without the condenser and still have airflow control manually with the air port. There are always options with the Crossover!
