For weekdays, it's more the slightly different headspace. Doubling on the weekends gets the throbbing behind the eyes feeling...

Basically for me, weekdays are medicinal.... weekends are mix leaning towards recreational levels.

It comes down to the vaporizer I'm using and the cannabis, so my answer would vary.

I guess it's nearly impossible to accurately convey the exact level of highness/stonedness one feels, using just words, but that's another thing that I'm curious about. Is part of the appeal of microdosing, for those who do it, the fact that they also like a milder buzz? If so, that would make some of the extremely small doses more understandable.

Given the following scenario, using a 1-10 scale...

    Person A:
    -Prefers a Level 6 buzz.
    -0.05g = Level 2 buzz

    Person B:
    -Prefers a LV 2 buzz
    -0.05g = Level 4 buzz

    Person C:
    -Prefers a Level 6 buzz.
    -0.05g = Level 4 buzz

... the combination of preferring a milder buzz AND having a lower tolerance, can make a huge difference.

Assuming each person achieves their prefered Level buzz...
    ...in terms of dosage: A>C>B
...in terms of level of buzz: A+C>B

Person B doesn't have a lower tolerance for Cannabis than Person C. He just prefers to get less buzzed than Person C.

All of that makes the micro-dosing discussion even more complicated.

Ok, that makes sense. If it's the first hit of the day, one large hit off of a 0.03g bowl can get a nice head-space change, while still leaving a couple more nice hits in the bowl. I'd think that's probably in the 0.005-0.015g range.

Do you take your 0.005g dose in one hit, or micro sips? Also, how often do you usually have these micro sessions/how long do they last (feeling the effects)?

90% of the time, I cache the .005g in one hit. That is desired. Hit and back to what I was doing.

Higher CBD strains can take two draws to cache.

Three sessions max on weekdays. Double approx on weekdays.

I find that it's a comfortable buzz that's not mild nor is it strong. You're definitely high and enjoying those effects, 6.5/10? I'd call it satisfying as it's not over the top nor is it too weak. The loading that I use is barely enough to cover the bottom of an herbalizer or mighty bowl. I basically get one solid hit from my water piece and try to hold it in as long as I can.

I voted 0.2, but i think my average is usually 0.15g per session in several sessions throughout the day. Definitely can be more at night trying to get back to sleep after waking up at 3 am...

Another 0.05g here, I use my Vapcap bowl as a standard size and load it then transfer the contents to my Homegrown Log stems.

The HGL gives me a really nice uplifting buzz which I love when I've got stuff to do, the VC on the other hand gives me the full body blow I used to get from toking.

As others have already said once you've got used to this size load you feel every last bit of it.

about .05g per session. Sessions usually last about 10-20 seconds. Did I mention that this is dabbing full melt, not vaping flower?

I can understand this because I love the flavour of the different strains and micro dosing is really lacking in that sense. You get one or two puffs and then the flavour has degraded severely. When I was going through a lot of weed I found that I was vaping more for the experience than the results at times. I had to take a step back and consider if it was really worth going through that much material or not.

In the flowermate a microdosed bowl gives you only 2 tasteful hits. That's why I only use it for few hits. When I go back to the prevaped bowl it is so hard to take hits, especially at 210C.

    I think I am a micro doser.
I finely grind up my herbs.
    I use a Volcano.
I put in about 100-125 mg give or take 15mg.
I fill two regular sized Balloons with this (when the herbs support this) the amount of vapor is NOT a function of the machine but the herbal material.

I have weighed before and after and its amazing how much the number drops by.\
Reciently I vaporized 120mg of some very strong herb and after 2 bags the sample weighed 66 mg.

30% reduction in weight is not abnormal.
This is dependant on herb quality strength and moisture content.
I have a humidor and keep it at around 65% humidity in the box.
    seems nice for the herbs..
Anyway, small dosing is where it is at.
My herbs also taste MUCH better with smaller loads.
The single biggest factor though is this.
BIG loads are harsh. Even the smoothest herbs are harsh when TOO MUCH is placed in the chamber.

So I put in 100-125 mg.

If you really want to micro dose with great effect get a VAPCAP.
    really small dosing.

I tested about a hundred loads once (yeah, I was bored) and the average weight loss of my abv was 33%, so your numbers check out for sure compared to my tests.

So, in with all this discussion about dosing and tolerance, I decided to start tracking my usage, and made a spreadsheet/chart to make it easy to visualize trends. So far, I'm only on the third session since starting the recording, but I think it should turn out to be an interesting experiment.

I've decided to track the following factors, and to plot the first four of them:
Session Number (which number session is it in that day)
    Herb Weight (prior to vaping)
    Level Reached (approximate)
    Session Duration (in minutes)
    Vaporizer

I think it will be cool to see see the correlation between the factors, and to be able make sure you aren't slowly creeping up in usage, over time.

I can add a set of points to the mix, 256 daily consumption entries excluding T breaks and party days. That gave me an average of .042g a day across 1.03 sessions a day. An additional point is after use the remaining cooked loads show an average of 30.13% decrease in weight. Great idea for a topic EverythingsHazy, good on you.

Voted .05, but Even smaller for me, but I use the ff2. I take 2 30sec draws usually. That .1gram approx last 5 days... I usually get 16-20 draws off that amount

What is the temp you vape at? And for how many hits does it keep the taste?
I'm so curious to know as when hitting my flowermate in ranges between 200 and 230C, I only get 6/7 tasteful hits before the taste turns bad.

I start at the lowest temp the ff2 has, 340f, and stay there for probably 6-8 of those, I tick up the ladder once I notice a drop off of vapor. I typically have great flavor for the first 6 or so draws. It degrades from there but I try to stir frequently and that tends to help. I never seem to get nasty flavor even at the end but it is certainly not great anymore. I tend to notice the popcorn smell although not burnt because of the lower temps I assume after 10 or so draws. I struggle discarding it though as I could probably get even more than the 16-20 draws from that .1g amount but I give up because I am deep down a flavor chaser and I use so little flower that the cost is a non issue. At say 10$ a gram I consume about 7.5g a year, lol. Big dollars right there... a days use cost me about .21cent if my math is correct. But to get back to your question, flavor starts lacking but never is nasty to me anyway. 10 draws or so and you can tell for sure it's not draw #1.

I notice a huge difference in between the ff2 and the pax3 though, convection va conduction is huge flavor wise. Which one is the flower mate?

5.0 Pro S. I enjoy much longer flavor with my Arizer EQ.
You basically don't spend anything on bud, as those costs are ridiculous, so jealous man.

Perhaps, if I keep it going for a while, I'll post a screenshot. It'd be cool if some others decided to join in and track theirs as well.

It's super easy on the Numbers app (Mac OS). You just fill out the spreadsheet, and whatever charts you want will automatically update themselves for you. I've got a line graph with trend-lines for the moving average of each variable.

I haven't gotten into any desktops or really many vapes. I own the Pax 2 and 3 and a v2 and the ff2. Other than those I have no experience. Flower cost is as you say, nada, as I don't use enough to ever worry about. My worry is it going bad, lol.

I'm kind of on the fence with microdosing vs just loading up, taking a hit then switching my vape off and taking another hit a little while later. There's 2 ways of saving on consumption. A full bowl doesn't have to be consumed in 1 session. It's the same with heat vs length of draw really.
