I'm thinking about purchasing an Eclipse H20 for vaping ear wax and hash and such. I was curious how other users like it and how well it works with these products. I was also curious how much product should go in for a first time user of the Vape?

it works well, but let me tell you there is a learning curve on it! be patient and slow when applying the heat! it is easy to get too hot and make your concentrates taste less than what they should be like.

I have one, and it's a solid vape, but if im honest i still much prefer doing dabs!

with regards to how much to put in. I would say put in the same as you would do for a dab, or maybe even a little bit more. I think less is more personally because im all about the taste and the more you cook it the less it is tasty.

use a jet lighter over a bic too the the soot buildup off a bic sucks!

Nice! I figured using a bic would just be a huge pain in the ass. I live with parents and currently use the MFLB almost exclusively. So this is actually a pretty big step for me. I'm going to have to start buying or making concentrates and sneaking out to vape them too!

I've heard many people mention that the vials are a downside too. Is that because once you use them you can't clean them out? Or what's the deal with that? Currently taste means very little to me. But I have a feeling the second I start getting into all of this it'll start mattering much more to me.

Do you use the water pipe attachment all the time or do you also use the device just by itself?

    Hey Slickbutters-
Welcome to the forum! I have both the pipe model and the water pipe attachment, and both are pretty righteous to me. I definitely agree I like small to md dabs, because you have much more control once your wax starts to boil. I like to run it through a water device best, to get the most flav!!!

I keep a medium sized jar of iso 91 and throw dirty vials and elbow screens in I let them soak and then I rinse everything. Then finally I get a cotton swab to remove the residue left inside. The screens GLEAM :D There may be a light burn on the glass, but the vials clean up great!!!

I would buy about 25 of 'em and keep em in rotation!! :p

    Hope this helps you... :peace:

no you can clean them i soak in iso and then use my ssv pick and q tips to get them as clean as possible. they are never pristine again though. it is an overall pain in hte butt though! one of the reason i also prefer my dabbing rig!

    also watch out for coughing!

the eclipse will make you cough pretty easily.

I also live at home and can appreciate the need for being discreet!

Okay, that's definitely something to look out for! What about odor? I imagine all the other Launch Box users that live at home feel sooooo spoiled in this regards! I imagine this device yields much more odor?

    I'll second weedemon's comments.

I have an H20, but don't use it very often. I originally bought it for hash, but have come to prefer using a concentrate bowl.

With that said, the H20 works great once you get your heating technique down. I burned the living sh*t out of my lungs a couple of times by over heating the H20 while attached to a steam roller :)

The H20 can vape almost anything that will fit in a dram vial, and it attaches to all my favorite glass. In short, it's compact and versatile. On the down side, it can be tricky to use, and hard to clean. I can soak my H20 in 90% ISO for hours and the smell never comes out. The dram vials can be cleaned, but once you've burned something into a vial it will always have burn deposits on it.... however, vials are really inexpensive so that shouldn't be a big deal.

I'm not too worried about cost at this point. If i'm going to be super high without combusting, I'm happy! I'm just a little worried about the odor. I'm wondering if my car will ever be a good place to vape it up with the eclipse. Obviously i'd have to be extra discreet there, but if it doesn't leave too much residual odor that would be helpful. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure the H20 is the best solution for stealth vaping in the car. I'd probably go with my Omicron as it's small, completely self contained, and produces almost no odor. The only down side is that the Omicron is only for oils.... but that should change very soon :)

I haven't done much research about the omicron. I don't have to be as stealthy in the car though because I use Ozium to get rid of the smell. It works wonders! It's more just making sure I'm not seen vaping in the car.

cleaning the vials is super easy if you pour the 91% iso in immediately upon taking your hit. If you let it cool down its much much harder to get all the leftovers off the inside of the vial. If you put it in while hot, a simple qtip swab will get it right out after a hour soak or so. The iso will sizzle as you pour if you are doing it quick enough. The top of the vial is touchable almost immediately after hitting it, just make sure you grab the top

Love mine! the learning curve is pretty easy. as said above, make sure u use a butane jet flame opposed to a bic

Get extra vials so you don't have to clean as often. 5 or 10 is plenty. They also have short and long vials so find which you prefer. They are easy to clean; the manufacturer doesn't provide cleaning instructions. Soak the vials with 91% iso and salt. then clean out with a paperclip and whipe the res on a paper towel. Finalize by cleaning with cuetips then rise with water. I prefer to dry with a hairdryer for speedy medicating. This tech works really well for the eclipse. :peace:

my thoughts exactly. I've used mine maybe 15 times in the 6 months I've owned it. not even comparable to oil dome/skillet. The reason I don't like it, is that oil starts tasting burnt after a few hits, even though there's still a lot of potency left. This means I was ultimately wasting more oil than with a nail/ti pad, since I'd stop vaping once it started tasting gross. If you want a good price on one though, I'm selling mine in the classifieds.

I really like mine. Never gotten a bad taste with oil from it. Has anyone ever used the 5/8 dram vial instead of the 1 drams that come with it? Thinking about getting some more vials and I'm not sure which would work best for small amounts of concentrates.

In my experience, this unit works ok for hash/thc.,Much better for oils though

I personally don't use it very often anymore,I usually just use it to finish off vials of oil that I can't empty completely.
There are so many easy enjoyable ways to consume concentrates I usually find myself dabbing most the time.

But if you were to use this as your goto concentrate vape then it would get the job done
