This is because if you look at the UD core it is not perfectly circular. The nano is a perfect 3/8ths. Maybe even smaller. The UD is more rustic when it comes to those things :)

I thought it was because the Nano's was cut just slightly thinner? Isn't that why there's that little ridge where the rest of the heater is thicker? My UD seems circular but now you've got me starting at it wondering...

Hmm maybe. But mine defiantly doesn't look circular. And the enano is flawless in that sense.......oh shucks how I wish I had my nano...it's been too long with out!!! But I do agree the glass stem is a nice treat with the UD! And one of my favs with the nano as well!

Yeah, those glass stems kick ass. So happy I won a regular stem too! Even with my shit camera and production skills. :ko:

im about to buy a log vape, but not sure on e-nano or ev-2...

I think it somewhat depends on how you're going to use it, but if you're definitely set on one of those two... I would just get the Nano. It's so wicked cool. There's quite a bit of info about it on this thread...

Then I would think you'd want to forego the whip and do a direct GonG connection, in which case I would again go with the Nano, as it has shown me it certainly has the power for your Mobius. In fact, I think one of the videos in the contest one or two pages back shows just that connection...I think it was post #1063.

Discussed earlier in this thread = NO, but will work with UnderDog and HeatIsland logvape stems or any other 3/8" (.375") I.D. bowl.

Edit: ...that's ~9.5mm I.D. 10mm will be loose.

I should have mine tomorrow so I can see things for myself, but what would prevent a person from making an adapter to fit inside stems like the PD? I envision a short length (like 1") of SS tubing formed to fit the OD of the Nano tube, with the ID of the PD. Fortunately I have a pretty complete tubing tool kit to work with as well as SS tubing. I really like the small dosage that I get from my PD tubes right now. Since I haven't tried the Nano tubes I might like them even better, making the whole idea moot. Given the variable heat of the unit, and a tubular port, almost any small log style stem could be made to work with the proper adapter constructed from SS tubing or silicone, making this a super versatile heat core. Whether doing that is worth it, as opposed to using the standard stem or glass will have to be seen.

As for hands-on knowledge, I'm still awaiting my Nano. I tried to time its arrival (to yesterday or today), but the Vaping Spirits weren't with me on this adventure; its not likely my walnut-mighty-mouse e-nano will arrive before Monday. But information from other, early-order members who already have their nano indicates the e-nano heating element/core was modified from beta-testing going into production. As I understand (think of an inverted male GonG fitting), the top end will be slightly narrower than towards the bottom. No matter the reason, it makes sense to me for two: 1) I'm medicated and writing, and 2) it's a "comfortable fit" for glass tubing to slip over, before I inhale.

I am very interested on your thoughts on this. I was thinking about this last night. My wife likes a smaller dosage and she finds it hard to load the right amount without taking quite a bit of time. She wants to be able to do a quick load, take a hit and be done. As it stands now I am finishing off the stem for her. (not a bad job) :ko:

The tube is .375" or 3/8". The top .30" is turned down to a diameter of .360" on a lathe. this leaves a little ridge (stop) for the glass attachments.

Well I finally got my nano back! Andy actually replaced my entire unit because my old one was running too hot. So kudos to Andy for exceptional customer service! This unit is noticeably smaller in diameter than my old nano and the core is a tiny bit smaller in diameter as well. Loving the naked look!! And I'm back to my same temp already! Except for the fact that the mailman smashed up the temp controller.....so now it's 1/4 electrical tape haha. Can't really tell what temp I'm on but it doesn't really matter does it? :)

Ok, finally got some time to make a video. Well I made 4, but something kept going wrong in one of them and I wanted to do a start to finish bowl.... needless to say I am very medicated and smoked about 4x more than I needed to.

Although the last video filmed the smoothest, I dont think the hits were nearly as good. I used .05g Strawberry Cough  in each shot, but the last one I only got 3 hits, while the other 3 videos I got 4 hits. Many factors that could have went differently in each shot so no big deal, it still shows each hit. I think the last one was actually closer to a .04g bowl. I basically just plopped the nug in, stabbed it a few times with the pic and vape. Stir/stab some more and repeat.

I used my David Goldstein with an adapter to put the Nano on. I also hit the whole stem at a temp of 6. I was hitting it hotter throughout the last few days, but I have found I prefer the taste just a bit lower. I think I get a more even roasting throughout the bowl instead of a scorched hit and tasting that the whole time.

Going to try to get another video up with the Mobius soon. Let me know if anyone wants something specific shot or vaped.

The postal service was kind enough to deliver the E-Nano this afternoon! My first impression was wow! This little wonder packs a punch! When I pulled it out of the bag I couldn't believe how small it was. Barely 2" X 3.5". Don't let the size fool you though, this thing is a little giant. The E-Nano blows my old favorite, the PD, out of the water. Using the glass stem, and the heat set @ 6, the hits were cool, plentiful, and flavorful. For anyone who wants to try the PD stems, all you need is a 1" length of 3/8" id silicone tubing slipped over the heat core with about 5/8" protruding above the screen. That said, I think the glass stem works just as well, if not better than the PD stem. The glass stem seems just as efficient, and the vapor is cooler, with an easier draw than the PD stem. Like others have said, this mini monster got me vaked times two to the tenth power! I just stare at it in amazement!

this photo helps me see the size difference of the epicvape products....looks like nano for me.

Wow, yeah I didn't realize how much bigger the EV2 is. I wonder if the perspective in the picture is throwing it off.

Off-Topic: shredhead, nice PS3 controller :-)

I got both since I wanted a whip to use with retarded wife...was about to get a dabuddha but figured the ev2 functioned similarly.

Ev2 is a lot bigger than the nano. This is my OLD nano with my UD and my buddy's EV2 for size comparison
