Anyone with a dynastash ... How powerful is your magnet? Mine doesn't get the cap off all the time. It's actually rather tricky to get the magnet to pull the cap off.
I have a TI woody and an og, the TI tip is the new one and the cap comes off like butter with my dynastash ER. The magnet won't get the OG cap off unless I push it till it's a hair away from the end.
The cap seems to fit a lot tighter with my og and hasn't loosened up in any way, with the TI tip the cap actually fell off one time in the beginning. The usual cap for my TI tip seems to have loosened up with the airflow, it's easier to mouthpull on it now than since day one. It still fits the same around the TI tip and actually holds on better I think from the gunk in it and around the tip. Maybe I'll try switching them and see if airflow improves with the OG.
The dynastash is still everything I could hope for in a dugout and more. I like the vapcap a lot but the dynastash really puts this thing over the top for me. Not only the portability but the speed, convenience, and pocketablity of the vapcap plus dynastash

When I was cleaning the oil out from the condenser (a lot of stuff melted there earlier in the week), the condenser came out. I put it back in place, but now the ti tip is crooked. Did I push the condenser in too far? It's not a big issue, just an aesthetic thing.

I noticed people mentioning the positioning of the flame as a cause. Apparently too close to the tip can cause combustion? Just to clarify, the "tip", is that referring to the flat end, furthest away from the "digger outter".

The Tip refers to the titanium herb chamber that connects to a body or stem. The Tip is covered by a stainless steel Cap. There are two small metal discs sandwiched inside the top of the cap. When the discs reach a certain temperature, they buckle, creating a clicking sound. If you heat the cap near the top, close to the disks, they will reach temperature quicker and the Ti Tip herb chamber will be heated to a lower toking temperature. As you apply heat closer to the digger outter, it takes longer for the discs to heat up and the chamber therefore reaches higher temps.

I begin by heating the bottom half of the cap, near the digger outter. The second cycle is heated in the middle and the top half of the cap is heated for the third and final cycle.

Respect the click and you will be OK. But you will need to experiment to find your special level of heat.

Is there a "sweetspot" diagram? I hear people saying DY .... I assume that means the "D"&"Y" letters of the logo on the cap

Yes. People made these references based on the logo on the manufactured cap. The new in-house caps have a different logo, so the references no longer apply to the new caps and you need to know what cap you have.

Practise heating the cap a few times with the chamber empty. You'll get the hang of it and find your preferences quickly.

Your condenser, body and tip are likely not aligned. Remove the tip, lubricate the orings with a bit of spit and slide and rotate it smoothly back into the body and over the condenser. This should make everything line up and straighten out again. The same goes for the condenser springs. The condenser will slide back into position better if the orings are a bit lubricated.

If that doesn't work have a closer look at your orings. One may have become stretched or caught up.

WOW!!! Love the set up and love the Ti VonG. Very classy! I know absolutely nothing about water and don't know what a claisen is (is it the cap on the second female joint?), but I can appreciate the interesting configurations. Water pipes must be the original stoners LEGO.

Why do you have a bit of silicone around the Ebony stem?

Thanks :). The claisen is the double female joint & allows very easy clearing with the VapCap or using two vapes at a time if that floats your boat. I feel like trying one VonG & one NonG at the same time now but it is only mid afternoon . I use the silicone ring to cover 90% of the carb hole.

I do have a few favorites which I switch up and rotate. Many of my Vapcaps have never been used and have been tagged as gifts. I took pics of the whole lot and will post it.

This is my current favorite set up. My Xmas present to myself. It's a Thuya Burl box and it holds a few Vapcaps and some herb. It will live by my morning window spot.

A well set up vape station is essential for the more mature canneisseur. What a elegant box you have @Squiby & the one off stems set it off nicely.

Side by side my new tip is rougher much like someone pointed out a few pages ago. Not poorly finished just not as well finished as mt G2 tip with some "sharp" edges. I expect that is because Dynavap are still fine tuning their new machinery but it works well & is a definite improvement on the G2 tip.

I seem to have found my sweet spot with the new tip & that is setting the screen at the middle level & getting 2-3 good rips before it is spent.

Wow @Squiby, that's a wonderful Thuya box that you have here! I'm truly jealous :p

I've been enjoying the adjustable feature since a few days, after I realized that my new tip came with his new feature.....
You know you are too 'capped when you don't realize George's magic :
IMG_20161213_145912_01.jpg

Ah ah this pic is from a week ago, at this time I didn't even notice the obvious grooves on the picture.... The vapcap is strong you know :D

First, this new tip never cease to amaze me, long lasting flavor, powerful and huge hits all the time, little air restriction on a fully closed carb, and second this adjustable feature is a killer! I've divided by two the amount I use! Such an even more efficient device!

CCD and degummed hemp fiber sandwich works but you have to put a bigger amount than with the disc method. I think I'm gonna mod a S&B pad, I think the size between the grooves is perfect. If someone have a dosing capsule SS pad, this may be the perfect size for the Ti bowl!! Unfortunately, I don't have one....

As @Stevenski and others, I think that the second groove give the best flavor / number of hits. This is outstanding how little you can put in there and still kick your ass!

My DynastashER magnet work fine and I can remove the cap without problem.
But remember that the caps aren't equal. Some may be a bit longer, some may be a bit larger and fit tight or loose on the tip. I have six caps and none of them are the same. One of my cap is very loose and can fall of the tip if I don't pay attention, and another is really tight for example....

The love never end with the vapcap, the volcano (by the way, I'm glad to see the volcano's squad on this thread ;) ) and the mighty are used from time to time with friends or when I want a big session, but since months now it's Omnivap all the way, all the day!
This new tip keep calling me, and that's hard to resist the vapcap tentation!

This things survive the hype, survive the honeymoon phase and he will survive you as well!

@VapCap, I keep singing that song in my head while completing the ritual, make it the official vapcap hymn!

Sadly they are still way to big, you could fill two whole Ti Tips with just one capsule pad. But it is not that much work to loosen the pad with twisting and turning an the cutting a little pea-sized chunk out.

Thanks to that amazingly awesome customer service over at Dynavap, I have gotten my order for my new tip placed, and none too soon by the looks of things around here. You guys are brutal. Now I gotta see what I can Lego together with my old tip. I see a new body in my future. Will this cycle never end?? Hope you all have a great day, or night, depending on where you are!

It's really really hard waiting for my vapcap. Getting a Woody and a burl stash that btw looks really beautiful.
All the praise is making it even harder to wait for my stuff.

I highly recommend anyone thinking about a vapcap to contact them with any questions. They really do go above and beyond with their help.

Btw the website doesn't list them but they do sell the magnets without the stash for only 5 dollhairs. Gonna install one on my vape station.

Got an OG but don't have the hang of it yet.
Combusted but I hit the end with the torch so I see how that works now
Do you pack it like an air stem - fully but not tight? That would be like 3 hits? My first hit is flavorful but it degrades quickly
And hit the middle of the cap with the torch or the bottom third?
Can you do it like a log and put a dab in degummed hemp?
As far as packing, I suck up ground herb out of a vial, space case, whatever. I don't pack and this tightness seems to be enough. Yes, I get three good draws from an OG model load.

I do, after I let a draw out, draw again to help cool it down and it seems like I get some little bit out of these but I don't consider them real draws.

As far as combustion, you might try heating just a bit more toward the end of the cap (away from digger end) as this will get you a click a little bit earlier. Heat more toward the other end and you get a later click and higher heat. Personally, I use a quad lighter or a three flame in a triangle. These provide a wide flame area which I bias just a bit toward the clicker end. Get a lighter you like, work with it a bit, and you will find your sweet spot and will find that this all becomes very intuative and easy.

As @Squiby and others have said, always respect the click and you can't go far wrong.

Cheers

@Squiby, George @VapCap may song it himself in a "quick click" video one day who knows

@antispleen you may want to read that too if your aren't hooked enough :p
So after a lot of caps in the name of science, the new tip is awesome!

The airflow is impressive, even if you close the carb completely you can hit it better than the old tip half closed.

The thermal property of the new tip are way better. The heat is dissipated from the tip way quicker than before, and of course the tip heat soak quicker too. Heating to the end of the cap lead very close to combustion on a double torch, so now more than before, respecting the click and move the flame spot are the way to go.

The flavor is greatly improved, and last longer through the session, you can notice it immediately on the first it. The two different Ti tip seems almost like two different vapes.
Without changing my heating technique, this new tip give me two heat cycle, against three for the old one.

The bowl size is increased by two millimeters (in height), thanks to the CCD, and the finer walls allow you to pack more (don't have this measured but I'm sure someone will do it :p).

The end of the Ti tip, where the orings sits, have been improved. No more twist and push, the tip fit flawlessly in all my bodies (titanium, carbon, glass and burl) and the orings are easier to remove, that's a huge improvement because you can't damage the end of your bodies.

Although, as stated by @emmdeemo, the new cap is consistently rattling when hot, making it a great memory check for when you're having too much 'caps and don't know where you are :D

@Squiby, you're gonna be totally blown away by this new tip when you'll receive it!

Edit: The CCD screen is great but even if you don't have some bits of material ending in your mouth (very fine grind of a Gr8tr), the reclaim in the condenser is full of it.
As I prefer clean reclaim in my condenser, I'll put some hemp fiber below the screen, wich serve me for concentrates as well ;)

Again, congratulations on the new Tip @VapCap!

Here is some more on the new tip!

IMG_20161213_172749_01.jpg

As you can see, there is a little difference where the orings sits. It's subtle, but makes a huge difference. Removing the orings is a little less boring, and the tip fit really well in the body.

Another thing that I found, is that the place where the screen /ccd sit, is a bit larger on the new tip :
IMG_20161213_172838_01.jpg

However, after a week ok heavy usage (in the name of science, of course! :science:), you can see that the CCD lets a lot of fine stuff pass through it, wich get stuck in the reclaim (wich is red with brown bits stuck in it, but the color is altered by the led light).
IMG_20161213_145912_01.jpg

IMG_20161213_145616_01.jpg

Also, my new Ti tip came with a titanium CCD, and the OG with a SS one ;)

And no, this cycle never ends, see by yourself how George is really THE man.

And I'm still waiting on another Ti Burly because I want one with a mesmerizing pattern...
What are you doing to us George?! :D

Love and best wish to all of you fellow friends!

Waiting is always the hardest thing! I had hope for a Shiny green Christmas envelope but although it shipped last Friday the tracking shows it made it to the Airport in Chicago on Monday morning but hasn't moved since. :(

I guess my OG and my slightly damaged Vong will have to make do! That's the thing with VAS even though I have no need to be too disappointed, I am!

I'm sure once the seasonal rush is over it will find it's way as a belated present to myself.

So I've had my Ti Vong S burl and its been great. I have not combusted once. Thanks to Squiby for all you knowledge and great vapcap porn. Dynavap has about $230 of more stuff I want, but the Ti vong has sated my vas. I like the 2nd position bowl size setting. The initial size was pretty big, the 2nd position is awesome though. The wood is so spectacular. I hoping that when they get caught up they will have more dynstashErs in different woods like before the sale. I would really like a burl stashER at some point. I'm really pleased with the purchase. Do phatpiggies stems use condensers like like normal vapcaps or does the Ti tip attach to directly to the custom stem. Just curious this may be the most active and artistic thread on hear.

Hey @Shannock I know how you feel there. My new tip shipped on the 16th, heading for UK, but tracking says it was in Chicago on the 20th and nothing since. I knew there was a good chance it would not be here yet.

It isnt so much for chrisitmas I wanted it, I have just taken a 30 day vapor break for my homeopathy, and today is the first time I could vaporize. I should wait a day as I am so exhausted, but Im fed with of the edibles and how heavy and sleepy they make me, and Im itching restless for the vaporizer high.

I have just put my Omnivap into an iso soak as I combusted in it badly 30 days ago. I probably wont soak it too long, just a few hours.
I have just wrapped all my Christmas presents and hope to get a decent cap in this evening. I have had good doses of edibles today so I will only need a little to break my break and get well buzzed.
Warm wishes to everybody out there.

@Majordude2626 I've done stems in a couple of different ways all with a 5mm condenser.
The Ti fits in the brass piece which is attached to the condenser which all screws into the brass on the wood stem. Also made them like @Ruta's and @Squiby's Blackwood, these ones have a condenser and one of George's X rings to create the seal for the 'carb'. And I've also done them without a condenser. The Ti tip fits straight into the wood.

Here's Squiby's Blackwood with condenser and her non condenser stem. Beautiful Thuya box Squiby, it looks like a pen box?
There are some stunning boxes out there, not that I've looked at any for hours on end:lol:. Nice to see I'm still in the top 3 even if it's only for the morning.

I like the lines 'condenser-less' give and accept the extra cleaning needed, I'll be doing some new slim ones with a narrower 4mm SS condenser to see how they work out. Keeps a slim look but makes reclaim more practical.

Well. Talk about above and beyond Customer Service!

Got my second package. Not only were my items sent, I found some extra which I had not
ordered, or paid for!

Matt's response upon my inquiry is that it is all taken care of, that we are square. :hmm:

Yep. You pegged it. It's a pen box. But it's obviously better suited to the Vapcap. It is nice sitting down with a cuppa tea, opening the box, surveying the selection and choosing a Vapcap, loading it up and enjoying a relaxing toke while admiring your pick.

It has such a pleasant ritual with no unnecessary silliness. I just feel so civilized. You know, with the Vapcap style diversity, it really is a "one of a kind" and a "sky's the limit" vaporization device. No other vape does this the way the Vapcap does. Dress your Vapcap up or down, she'll always be the one to turn heads.

Funny, now I look at all kinds of things and think, could I use this for the 'caps?

I don't know if it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one, or more nervous thinking about some airport postal worker in Chicago enjoying all these 'caps.. Mine was posted on the 10th. The awesome pictures posted lately here are helping though! So is my carbon omni of course, making this stinking hot weather more bearable too. :) Who needs air conditioning when you got a Vapcap?!

Any thoughts about the Scorch Dual Flame Torch lighter ($12) on Amazon? I feel like two side by side torches would light a good even portion of the VapCap tip, without being overkill. It's just that every Amazon lighter has both good and terrible reviews.

Ordered... Will share results with you guys when it comes this week.
