I was just sitting here wondering if I am the only one who finds that I've actually started using MORE MMJ since primarily move to vapes? Not because vapes use a lot of herbs, as i can attest to their conservative uses( less than .5g for a week in the MFLB:bang:), but because it is simply such an enjoyable experience to sit and enjoy puffing clouds of pure flavor. As opposed to taking a max of three or so rips of a bong(combustion days) before coughing up a lung, and when you cough from a bong, YOU COUGH:puke:, then leave it alone for a while........this even applies the joints/pipes, eventually its not even nice. But with vaporizing its a whole other story, I could sit sit here all day medicating, a cough from a vape is but a tickle:lmao:, refill after refill there is no limit but self discipline.......... and stash, at least for me. The avb jar is ever so deep, and some times I cant help but feel like somewhere driving along the vaporization road, conservation got thrown out the metaphorical window:lol:.
    sorry for the rambling.......
would love to hear your experiences

Yes, vaporizing has saved me a small fortune in medicine. Some vaporizers use more than others, but a person can control the amount they load too.

Though I've never quantified, I use far less since switching to vaporizing. I think pacing yourself is the key. I have an EQ for my daily driver, used with SSV Wand, so the EQ is running all day long and Wand is at the ready. When I need a rip, I visit the EQ, insert Wand and rip. Then remove the wand and put aside till next rip.

Stepping away from the unit, and doing something else, lets the meds kick in before I get a chance to go beyond what I need.

And regarding vapes, what has already been stated is very very true! I just switched portables and now use a Solo.... Very efficient!

    Hope this helps!

well, yes before vaporizing I only smoked once a week, but what I smoke in one night can last me a week of vaping.
also, it really depends if it's hash or weed(while vaping). I can go trough weed pretty fast, but hash lasts way longer(for the same or lower price as weed).

I had a similar experience when I first started vaporizing. My use pretty much doubled for awhike when I got my ssv. I think a contributing factor was my herb not being the best quality. I agree with DDave , You need to pace yourself and wait for it to set in, because of the creeper like effect of vaping. Often I would overmedicate because I didn't feel that much , I was kinda expected it to hit me like the smoking feeling.

    Very much agree with this!!!

I did the same. Was so comfortable to vape, compared to combusting, that it was difficult to judge amount of medicating needed to reach desired level and with vaping being a much cleaner/clearer effect.... oh yeah, it was very easy to overdo it! :mmmm:

As I've never smoked mmj, I can't say "yes," but I am fortunate to have gone the path of very efficient vapes, from the NO2, to the E-Nano, and now to the EVO.

Over time, though, I have been using more, as my tolerance builds, and as I am getting more comfortable living my life medicated. My condition requires fairly high levels in my system for relief, so I feel like I use a fair amount.

Best part about vaporizing, though, is that after I vape my meds, I have ABV to make more meds from! :)

There are so many variables that making a determination is difficult.
The fact that we don't reek allows us to indulge more often than when we were combusting.
The onset of the high is slower which can cause people to underestimate their condition.
Overall I think vaping is more effective than combusting, eventhough as others have stated the whole experience is so tasty that going overboard happens all too quickly.

Not only has vaporizing saved me big time on herb costs, but $$$thousands/year on pharma meds. I'm completely off of pills thanks to herb, and never going back.

When I went from smoking to the VaporGenie, my consumption was cut in half. When I went from the VG to the Purple Days, my consumption was cut in half again. When I went from my PD to my LSV, my consumption increased about 30%.

The kind of vape one uses has, in my experience, made a very big impact on conservation.

So to answer your question, for me...............yes.

One year into vaporizing my spreadsheet indicates a 65.66% conservation of rx. The savings allow me to purchase higher quality medicinals that I could ill afford while combusting.

Haha, yes for sure. at first I found I was going though more because of the enthusiasm I had for how awesome vaporization is. then after a while you will calm down, and settle back into your old ways and then i think you will find your usage levels will have gone down. it really does take less to get you to the same level, it's just so damn fun and tasty, it's easy to overshoot that.

I'd also like to point out that if you are a newly converted user switching to vapor the high is different and at first I was chasing the high that I knew from smoking. never able to get it heavy "stoned" feeling. this was rather because I was searching for a false high that I had associated with what i thought a weed high was. but in fact I was only suffocating myself with particulates in the smoke. the things we learn eh? :)

Yes but mostly due to vaping abv through a hotter vape and having wand hash to substitute. My DBV and Pax can be used more efficiently but I don't find lite hits very satisfying. Back when smoking I used a glass bat and small bowl bong snaps. Nothing super wasteful. Still on about a qtr weekly.

Amount used in a session is reduced, maybe by up to 50%. Amount of sessions has increased by 25%. The difference probably goes into concentrates. I'll call it a wash.

This. I always bought the top quality stuff, but now with vaporizing I've never bothered looking at anything but the best. I can afford it because it lasts me long enough to be worth it.

I find with vaping it's easier to overindulge compared to combusting. That being said, I am using less material overall and enjoying much cleaner and better effects.

Vaporizing is certainly more efficient. You get vapor when you smoke, from the heat vaporizing the herb before it burns, but you also destroy some actives with combustion. My usage went up when I converted from smoking, but that was because my tolerance for smoke had become very low- just couldn't take it anymore.

There's no doubt that the hardware you use is usually a big factor in how much you use. You have to decide whether you need a .22 or a shotgun.

For me, it's not an either/or situation. Love having both the MFLB and the LSV and even though I sold my PD, I still miss it.

I agree. I meant choose your device for your particular vaporizing session, just as you'd decide whether to eat a big meal or a small one, depending on your appetite at the time.

Vaping saves so much chronic its not even funny, you also get a second bang for your buck if you bake edibles

For some reason, my friends (who solely combust and never want to vape) think that using gravity bongs saves them more weed than my vape when in reality combustion causes such a great loss in cannabinoids.
