I'm moving this post over from the Vapor Lounge forum since I am taking it in a different direction:

Don't feel bad MauiWowee. That type was my first vape too. It was enough to get me hooked on vapor, but you'll like a good convection vape much better.
Does anyone know anthing about this vape? It's a Noble VP-300, and it says it is a convection vape:

I'm looking for a decent convection vape but don't want to spend a fortune.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

that one is a known china knockoff, and as such should be avoided

at the risk of sounding pushy, i really suggest you look into the purple days, its the first vaporizer i got and its very good, if a "cleaner high" is what your looking for, must say that the pd definately delivers it, with wicked efficiency (uses very little herb to get you to the same effects as smoking or even your conduction vape)

all that, and you can get a cherry unit for 150, including all the accessories you need

This is the type I have now:

Is this one a convection vape? I just bought it a few days ago for $35, and it's my first vape. It seems to work just fine for me.

Thanks for the advice! Where can you pick up the Purple Days for the best price?

When it comes to vape selection I recommend selecting a type of vape that best suits your smoking style and needs.

Then I recommend asking the community their views and experiences based on the type of vapes you selected to help narrow down your search.

You are asking about the http://www.vapornation.com/store/no....html?osCsid=bbb1983937653798c3e74b7ffdb932c5 is a first generation type of vape called a conduction vape, not a convection vape which is now the standard.

I would say if you had the money to burn and wanted to see if you like vaping perhaps that might be an ok choice but you could also get a lighter based portable vape for around the same price if not a bit more.

This type of vape is not desirable because it is very inefficient and can be frustrating to use.

That's a conduction based vaporizer and they work only a fraction as well as convection vapes. For it to be a convection vape, heated air must pass though the herb.

I'll toss out the VaporWarez (it can be acquired from this vendor, the one I and many others have used). That package includes a free grinder, stir tool, screens, a scale and an ounce of legal herbs. Fast shipping too. It was my first vaporizer and although I mostly use my Purple-Days right now, it can never fill it's shoes (big clouds, fast heat up time, and major stoneage :ko: ).

you can either go through tom and pam (the creators), or through vapenow.com who are the only resellers, they both have the same price, but anyone who owns a purple days will tell you its an absolute steal for the engineering and craftsmanship that goes into manufacturing each unit

i suggest you start reading the model specific threads in the vaporizer discussion, look at as many as you feel like, read some about them, then make an informed decision based on what you think seems best for you

the vaporstar and vaporgenie are very good vapes if your finances are limited, i almost got a vaporstar, but i decided on the purple days and havent regretted it one bit, ive had it for 3 months i think and its already pretty much paid itsself off because its just so darn efficient

There seem to be a lot of Purple Days fans here. I may just buy one.

What's up with the hype on the Volcano Digit? I found one on sale at my local head shop for $400 and I see them selling on Ebay for $650.00. Maybe no one is buying them locally and the head shop is selling it on clearance. I may just buy it and resell it on Ebay. That would allow me to get a Purple Days for free!

That would be a great choice-a great vape to balance out your not so great one.

I'd really be surprised if a $400 Digit was a legit brand new one. I don't know if a reseller, especially a head shop, can even buy them that cheap. Everybody sells the Volcano, but few sell it for less than $539 and $669. $400 for a Digit would be about 40% off. IMO that would be a very good price for a used one in a head shop. If it's new you should certainly be able to sell it for a nice profit.

I went by the place, and the brand name of the Volcano is "Fuji". Is that a clone of the original?

its a cheap china copy, and should be avoided

a quixk search reveals that this thread isnt talking about the vape i thought we were talking about, but the noble vp-300 is just another conduction vape like the one you already have, it just has some sort of heat controller

again, tread through some of the threads in the vaporizer discussion, (purple days, silver surfer, extreme, vhw) and then make your own imformed decision based on what youve learned from your research
