Do people make fake Thermovapes?

Hi all,

This is my first post on FC and I am looking to purchase a portable vaporizer, herbs or concentrates but preferably adaptable to both with attachments/accessories. I am really liking the Thermovape T1 and Revolution. The issue is that as i'm sure everyone is aware they dont make them anymore. Thus i'm left with FC classifieds/ebay/others to find one. There are a lot of ads on ebay with some very good prices (around 150 shipped) and i'm always wary of amazingly good prices.

Does anyone have any insight on this? Do people make fakes? are these defective units that have been rebuilt? Whats the deal?

T1s are not that hard to find, but it's more difficult to locate revolutions and DARTs.

So you would say that its not fake? its a usa seller and seems pretty legit. what i figure i could do is get the T1 and try to find a revolution adapter.

I wish thermovape would make these again, im sure the functionality of the cera is better but i personally like the switch on the T1 way better and i think the cera looks bad.

Also i notice you own the revolution, how do you like it?

The T1s on ebay look legit, but finding the revolution windowed or the DART could be challenging. Also looks like the T1 might be available here http://www.vapornation.com/thermovape-vaporizer.html. So if you spend $149 on the t1 and then have to also buy the Revolution or DART, you're almost in Cera territory money wise. I like it a lot. I totally lucked out a few months ago and bought one slightly used. Plus Thermo Essence's customer support is outstanding. I think there might be a LV DART in classifieds at the moment

First off, welcome to the Forums, I think T1 and Revolution/DART are top choices. While they can be rebuilt (and are still backed up by TV) there are not any 'factory repaired' units for sale in bulk since TV services them one at a time for end users only. No 'used' ones from the factory.

No, people don't make fakes. There's a collection of lower order pond life in China making counterfeits under the "Zoly" name. I have a fake Revolution, it looks good but is a joke inside. Reverse engineered and all but they got key stuff (like using the right ceramic for the core) all wrong. And, under the plating, it's pretty crudely made in place. The parts do interchange......how's that for coincidence? The batteries and charger provided are plenty scary as well.

Good luck with it, I think you'll be happy you put in the effort to run one down for your very own.
