Usually a lot quicker than that, the piece you ordered must be on back order with the factory, send them a message to find out for sure as Stenenimz is usually pretty good.

I'm disappointed with my Rattle Can and the service from stevenlmz79. The mouthpiece stem is mounted ~2cm down from the top of the body, which is 10% of the total height. The pictures and videos on the website show the stem flush with the top of the body.

More than a dozen messages with 'Jane' got me nowhere. Sally from the Dhgate Resolution Center finally got involved and offered me a partial refund.

Lesson learned. Reputation or not, buyer beware.

PopularGlass (Stevenmz or whatever) seem o be getting worse, I would stick to my guns if I were you @Moses Baca, you deserve a good functioning RC, everyone does, we need to get CCG to source them as their QC seems to be the best on the Gate and they do charge a little extra for their effort...which fine by me to get what I pay for without all the hassles.
Lesson learned...do not release funds to the seller until you have tried the bong for a day or 2 to make sure all is OK.:myday:

Edit; I have sent messages to a couple of reliable sellers on the Gate to see if they can get RattleCans or knockoffs of them as I have 2 and neither of them is completely correct if you want to get picky, I would still like to get a good one.

Mistakes happen, but refusing to replace (or even acknowledge) a clearly defective piece is awful customer service and bad for his reputation. They don’t seem to realize, or care, that a single bad review translates to many lost sales. I don’t buy from sellers like this. Thanks for posting.

@Moses Baca - I had an issue with my last order on DHGATE. They advertised one height and sent me smaller ones. I took a picture of the units next to a ruler and sent it to them saying I'm not interested in a discount and I want what I ordered. They messaged me back that they don't have any with the size they advertised but they were nice pieces and I should be happy with them. I offered to send it back or they could send me another of the smaller units for free and they agreed to send me the smaller unit. I ordered the original 2 pieces as gifts and ended up with a new bubbler for myself. It all comes down to the DHGATE rule where the seller doesn't get paid unless you agree or they can prove the order was good or make you happy. Get what you paid for or something that you feel is fair.

Anyone wondering if the trade war with China is affecting the service from DHGATE? I've heard that Chinese propaganda against America is in play.

I was kind of disappointed with the Rattle Can but in hindsight I should have seen this coming after reading up on it from various threads on the internet. It appears that the quality is indeed hit or miss. The mouthpiece on mine sits a little lower from the top although from the pics I have seen, not as low as @Moses Baca's. However what I noticed in mine is that the mouth piece has a bigger angle from the body compared to those which sits closer to the top... Comparison pic...

Notice how in this rattle can (not mine) the mouth piece is closer to being horizontal...

Here is mine which is at a higher angle...

The best case Rattle Can construction would be to use the mouthpiece angle from mine and then mount it near the top as in the one on the top pic... Just like in the pic of the RC at dhgate:

Bottom line with with Rattle Cans I guess (and maybe with Chinaglass as a whole) is to expect wide variations in manufacturing and quality. Overall I am still happy with my Rattle Can and rank it at about third-fourth place among the pieces I like using but it could have been better.

Great post, @MasonJar! Hit or miss indeed!

Update on my situation, Sally from the dhgate resolution center emailed me yesterday now they decided they won't send me a partial refund unless I send them a video. What a clusterfuck.

But all hope is not lost! My friend @LesPlenty backed me up and now Jane says they're going to send me a new unit. Still waiting to hear how it's all going to happen. All I want is a proper unit. But order from dhgate, you take your chances.

Thanks for everyone's help, comments, suggestions and support. Great community.

@Moses Baca glad to hear you're getting a new Rattle Can. From personal experience, of the eight times I have ordered from DHGate, I only had to contact the seller once (CCG) to get a replacement for a piece (8" Straight Fab) that was damaged during shipment. I was very happy with the way that was resolved by CCG... They asked for a pic of the damaged piece and sent the replacement after they were satisfied with what they saw.

I still have plans to order at least two more pieces from DHGate... I need a Klein or Torus recyclier to complete the variations of percs in my collection and a bigger piece with an 18mm joint (CCG with SOL perc) for use with an E-nano which I intend to get in the coming weeks.

I’ve only placed one order but used four vendors. Two were great, one sent the wrong size adapter but immediately sent a correct replacement. Quality and service from those three are good. Stevenlmz/Jane/PopularGlass is the only one I’m having trouble with.

Sunshinestore is good... I ordered two pieces from them (D020-D and D020) around 4 months ago and these came with no issues... Thick glass with almost no bubbles... Packaging was top notch too. Pieces were almost exactly the same as the pics posted on the website unlike stevenmlz.

I have also had zero problems with Sunshinestore (Yinmin5), that is why I asked them to have a go at making the above VA-Rattle Can, Stvenimz is also OK but their quality control is lacking lately if we end up with the problem Stevenimz will fix it after you dance through some hoops.
CCG is another great seller on DHGate (maybe the best) but they do charge more than most for their QC, I also asked them to make a Rattle Can but they said they were too busy keeping up with what they have.

    How's the D020-D comparing to D020? I've had too much D020's and never a D
    The extra volume is felt?

My original D020-d has thicker glass in all aspects than my D020, my newer D020-d now has the same body but the neck and mouthpiece are more like my thinner D020 and really feels quite similar (read cheap and nasty feeling compared).
That is one reason I do not recommend the D020-d anymore, my Fc -mod, and Rattle can are better.:2c:

When using the dynavaps I actually prefer the D020 to the D020-D... Mainly because it appears to retain flavor a bit better. I suspect less percolation + less water = less flavor loss. If you prefer smoothness more than tasting the flavor, the D020-D is better... This is all personal preference though.
