Ceramic was available several years ago, however the finished products were not up to my standards (too much variance in part thickness, too slow manufacturing times). However the new alternative is 3D printed porcelain which is even better than ceramic. The only catch is the porcelain parts are 3D printed as a negative mold, and then filled with liquid porcelain (then fired in a kiln with a glaze over the top).

There are quite a few limitations to working with 3D printed porcelain at this time, but it is doable. Feel free to PM me any ideas you may have, I'll tell you how feasible they are.

Hmmm, something that is doable. Although my concern would be the mouthpiece and can slots - due to the added height of the batteries, the mouthpiece and cans would rattle around, but I'm sure I could come up with something. I could absolutely build a custom case like this for you though, PM me if you'd like to place a custom order for one.

    TGIF Everybody!!

My apologies for the extended radio silence as of late. Manufacturing outstanding orders has become a full-time position for me and I rarely have time for socializing or R&D :(. Have no fear! I'm taking steps to resolve my manufacturing woes once and for all. I'll have more info on this in the coming weeks once I have more solid details.

First, I wanted to announce that my studio is expanding and I've just acquired a new tool for the shop: A desktop thermoforming machine!

This nifty machine is a bit of old-school technology. Also known as a "Vacuum Former" they were huge in the 80's and 90's. Essentially I can take sheets of solid plastic, and form them over molds. The cool part is I can 3D print (or CNC machine) forms and molds from my designs and then form them from solid sheets of plastic.

I'm still very new to this technology and learning as I go. But my first project for this machine was to reinvent my JyARz Classic Funnel Insert. These tiny 3D printed strips of plastic were the perfect test for this machine.

Allow me to introduce the new V2.0 JyARz Classic Funnel insert:

These new inserts are made from clear Food-Safe PETG sheets which are formed to my design. The end result a MUCH better product in my opinion.

Also, due to high demand, I've introduced a new special version of the Pax3 funnel designed to work with the MagicFlight Finishing Grinder:

That's all for now! I'm hoping there will be a bunch of new announcements over the next month or two

Don't you worry, I haven't forgotten about them - they're nearly finished. But I simply refuse to release a design until I'm satisfied with the finished product. :p

I'm trying to post everything major I publish to my store to this thread, but I might forget a product from time to time. I suggest subscribing to my store's RSS feed for an updated list of my recently published inventions: http://delta3dstudios.com/rss.php?type=rss - you'll be notified immediately when I publish those accessories

    Good Evening All!

Apologies for the radio silence as of late. I've been quite busy manufacturing new orders and haven't been able to keep up with posting to FuckCombustion or even R&D for the business :\. Paying customers always take priority over growing the business (as it should be)

Over the past year, I've started researching ways to increase the quality of my best-selling products through low-volume mass production, although most companies don't even bother responding to emails from small businesses. While I could have easily approached a Chinese factory, I simply refused to take my business outside America. (I take pride in knowing that all of my inventions are made in America!). Luckily I stumbled across an American Silicone manufacturer interested in low-volume work and willing to take my business.

Their equipment is light-years beyond what I can possibly achieve in my small shop, but the molds are expensive to produce. As such it is a very slow expensive process with no guarantees of success (a miscalculation in the design could easily cost several thousand dollars to fix). However, after more than six weeks of work, I'm VERY proud to announce my first success.

Allow me to introduce the new v2.0 Pax3 Waterpipe Adapter (featuring my new SonG2 material!)

While it may look similar to my previous Pax2 Waterpipe adapter, this material more than TWICE as stiff as the original material which provides a perfect friction-fit into the vaporizer!

Now I know a lot of you invested in the original Pax2 Waterpipe adapter, and I'd like to make it up to you. If you purchased a V1 Pax2 adapter, simply fill out this form with your email address and order number, we'll reply with a special one-time coupon code good for 50% off one Pax3 waterpipe adapter (Offer Expires December 31st 2017 - Valid ONLY for previous customers with proof of purchase) - https://delta3dstudios.com/pax2-early-adopter-discount/

I know many of you will be anxious for me to introduce more SonG2 products over the coming months. I promise I'm working on it! Sadly big businesses move way slower than I do.

(NOTE - Anyone who ordered a v1 Pax2 Waterpipe Adapter AFTER February 26th can expect to receive a copy of my new Pax3 Waterpipe adapter since the original v1 adapter has now been discontinued)

Indeed, I have plans for the ultimate WPA for the Crafty and the Mighty, that's very high on my priority list actually, but we're still a few weeks away from prototyping

Indeed! The Large Nu-SonG will be eventually re-built in my new SonG2 material, although I probably won't use the same super stiff material used on the Pax3 adapter so the rubber is still flexible enough to form around different vape mouthpieces. Unfortunately in reality, that project is still 3-4 months out, I have a lot of higher priority projects first.

On that note, I'd like to announce that my first batch of new Pax3 adapters are finished and due to arrive Friday! I'm planning on shipping most of my outstanding orders this weekend. I can't wait for you guys to try them out!

Phew so many exciting things happening behind the scenes, I can't wait to share them all. I just finished a new design one hour ago, can't wait to 3D print the first prototypes and test the fit. Wish me luck!

    Afternoon All!

Quick one today but I wanted to share a project I've been working on for the past week..... Allow me to introduce the new Mighty Vaporizer Loading Funnel

This is something I've been meaning to make for a while now, for those of you who still prefer to load directly as opposed to using dosing capsules. Note this threading is also compatible with the Crafty Vaporizer (although I didn't have any crafty vapes on hand for the photo shoot),

Well fuck, Ratchett....why did you do this three days ago so I could get one shipped with my Enano stand! LOL

Looks great and I will definitely buy one in my next order. The S&B one works but it just too awkward for the limited benefit IMO. On the other hand, I still have enough dexterity to just use one of your scoop tools and actually get it into the oven! LOL

    Cheers

Have you considered making some sort of stand for hydratubes or other 14 or 18mm glass pieces? How much would something like that cost me?

Basically, I have one of those hydratubes like the one you have in your pax 2 waterpipe adapter picture, and it's not very stable on my desk. I'd like to be able to plop the hydra tube down on a little base when not using it.

    Thoughts?

I think this is a great idea as well. I have a hydrafoot for my hydratube, but I'm not crazy about having a glass stand. A plastic stand would give me more peace of mind and I wouldn't have to be nearly as careful when using it with my glass.

Would it be possible to make a universal stand with a 18/14mm taper?

I've considered making a hydratube stand in the past, however all of my testing shows the lightweight of my 3D printed parts makes for an EXTREMELY unstable stand.

I've been hesitant to build hydrastands simply because I don't want to risk selling an unstable stand and possible cause the destruction of a glass piece. As much as I'd like to start offering something, I'm afraid that project will need to wait until I can invest in a proper CNC mill capable of carving stands from wood or solid plastic.

Maybe sandwich style, with lead weights inside the sandwich, superglued together. Or, instead of weights, use sand like those old desk tape dispensers. Lots of sand in your area. Bottom could be shaped like a bundt cake pan, so ring of sand weighs base down equally nearer to circumference for stability.

I received my new Pax3 Waterpipe adapter yesterday and had a chance to test it out.
I've got to say that this new adapter rocks!
The thicker material keeps it from slipping out from the waterpipe and Pax3.
Kudos to Rachett on this update!

I just got my basket screen maker and even though I didn't need any screens at the moment, stuck in a flat screen, tightened the screw and bam looked exactly like a brand new already made one. So I took a gong that had a real sorry screen, stuck the new one in and it fit perfect. Great job. Super happy with how easy it is.

Ok dude you made the funnel that locks onto the mighty...why not just make a wpa out of Sam material that locks on same way? Even though my prized mighty was stolen I will get it back one day..hopefully soon...

 alas 3D printed plastic while safe for use as a funnel, isn't exactly vapor-safe at high temperatures. The temps a 3D printed plastic WPA would experience are far too hot for my comfort. Basically any 3D printed WPA could possibly produce toxic vapors while vaping, something I'm sure none of us want!

That's not to say I'm not hard at work on my new v3 Mighty WPA made out of a different vapor-safe material..............
Coming soon, Spring 2017 perhaps? :ninja:

    Evening all!

I know I haven't been as active on FC lately, and I apologize for that. The business success has dramatically cut into my spare time to browse FC and participate in the conversations :bang:. Alas, I'm still here and hard at work not only processing orders but also focusing on releasing new products.

After over two years, a handful of prototypes and months of beta-testing, I am pleased to announce that I have officially published my Vape Spittoon - The easiest way to unload almost any stem or whip style vaporizer!

I know I've talked to a lot about this product over the past few months to various people, but I wanted to finalize the design and tweak the exhaust screen fit before I formally released the product.

Personally, I have been using my Vape Spittoon with my E-Nano Vaporizer multiple times a day for the past few months and can't imagine living without it!

(NOTE - the gray color is only available in this first batch, the next batch of Spittoons will be black in color)

    Spittoon looks good.
Can you post a "directly overhead" pic when you get a chance?
Trying to assess if it will work with "basket/ chamber" type vaporizers, like with the miniVAP Flexicone basket modules, or the S & B Dosing Capsules , or the Herbalizer chamber, etc.

Is the top closed until you push in with a stem, what kind of opening?
    Thanks

I'll work on getting more/better photos for the final product listing when I have the black lids in stock, but for now here's a shot of an earlier 3D printed version:

In my experience I absolutely use my Spittoon to catch all ABV from every basket and vaporizer I own, but it's not quite as easy as using it with a stem to blow out material into the Spittoon.

I promise I've got plans for another more portable accessory designed to catch ABV from smaller portable vapes and baskets/capsules, but that product is far off - likely sometime next year.

Negative, the hole on the tapered intake is roughly 8mm in diameter. I had to simplify the spittoon's design since the rubber part is outsourced to an American silicone factory to manufacturer for me.
