Is everything past 1970 just distortion, including me?

Wasn't Born to Follow
Oh I'd rather go and journey
Where the diamond crescent's glowing and
Run across the valley
Beneath the sacred mountain
And Wander through the forest
Where the trees have leaves of prisms
And break the light in colors
That no-one knows the names of
And when it's time I'll go and wait
Beside a legendary fountain
Till I see your form reflected
In its clear and jeweled waters
And if you think I'm ready
You may lead me to the chasm
Where the rivers of our vision
Flow into one another
I will want to dive beneath
The white cascading waters
She may beg she may plead
She may argue with her logic
And mention all the things I'll lose
That really have no value
In the end she will surely know
I wasn't born to follow

Ripple
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.

That is pretty damn impressive

I'm sober and I got completely lost in that...

yeah man, mesmerising. I love this kind of stuff but these guys really know how to do it!
check the albums. I was really surprised, seeing this video first and expecting pretty, acoustic Afghan. A lot of the albums are really heavy noise stuff, and I mean REALLY heavy. but with the Middle Eastern elements mixed in and vocal samples.
These two are my favourite, totally blowing my mind.
(sorry, I know it's not a video! Just replying) :)

Any love for cloud rap? Flatbush Zombies kill it!!

Switch you out them church clothes, then you make a mess of me
Freak you on a Sunday, god knows that you're blessin' me
Back twisted, act different I just have visions
Me and mac, bad bitches playin' badminton
Little jack grippin', past livin' large
At home with a big garage
Zombies is killin' shit, send them my best regards

I used to think Julian was singing "ceiling is here, then gone" instead of "SeaLink is here, then gone".

Considering that it is about somebody tripped out too far on LSD, I like my lyrics better! Although they don't fit the story as literally.

I think I also heard there's a bathroom on the right... :hmm:

"I read a news story about a group of fans who were causing trouble aboard a Sealink ferry going from Holland to Dover. One young fan was high on LSD and climbed on a railing at the back of the ship. As he began to dance, he lost his footing and fell into the sea. His body was never found. I wrote this song because I used to take so much LSD in the old days that I inevitably found myself taking extraordinary risks, similar to this news story. The newspaper only stated the facts. But what was going through that young kid's mind as he went down for the last time?" -Julian Cope
