when i was in jr and high school i listened to pink floyd a lot, had about 4 albums on cassette and would just play them ALL THE TIME. it was sort of an escape for me listening to them, in a way it kind of elevated my mind to just zone out and tune into floyd. time moved on and so did i, pretty much forgot about all those times i would just sit for hours and float with the music and words. anyhow, i recently picked up about 30+ albums (some are compilations or live) and ive been diving deep in my sessions with them, very very cool stuff.

if i had to suggest a few song titles (i know, there are so many), they would be the following :

Welcome To The Machine
Dogs
Wish You Were Here
Speak to Me/Breathe
On the Run
Us and Them
Any Colour You Like
A Pillow of Winds
Burning Bridges
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Let There Be More Light
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict
Mother
Hey You
Comfortably Numb
Unknown Song (from Zabriskie Point)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part VI-IX)

Oh crawdad, I feel the same way. Zoning out with some Floyd is the best! being vaked only makes it better.

I would often play Seamus when my dog was with me in the car. It used to freak him out.

After some recent news, i gotta mention my boys from Cleveland, Chimaira:

"Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter will not be at tonight's show in San Antonio, TX. Backstage Live staff posted a sign at the front of the venue of this change and have been giving fans partial refunds. The band's keyboardist and backup vocalist, Sean Zatorsky, will be filling for tonight.

Rumor is that Mark was busted for pot earlier today following a traffic stop by El Paso, TX. This was confirmed by El Paso police department. We have been told that he was booked and released and is currently speeding across the state of Texas to catch up with the band. Call's to Mark went unanswered."

"Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter was arrested in El Paso, TX. As the band took the stage with band keyboardist handling vocal duties, Rob Arnold addressed the crowd. "Sorry Marks not here... Mark got busted with some Pot... he wishes he was here. They wanted us to cancel the show"

It was a pretty fucked up situation. The band was pulled over and Mark threw himself on the sword and took the fall for the entire band so they wouldn't miss the gig last night. Why the vocalist was the one to take the fall i'll never understand, but it was a very admirable move on his part."

I listened to a music instrument called "Hand pan" which is amazing. It produces sounds that sound like different instruments but all coming out of 1 pan!

AXILDRUM ZAM Pantheon Steel Halo Drum (Hand pan)

I liked it very much.

PS: I am not sure how I stumbled upon this one, but this is good music to my ears when I use my magic herb.

This type of shit happens way to often to smaller scale touring bands that typically travel in a overcrowded van with a huge trailer behind them with their gear in it. It's a slow moving target that you can spot from miles away and any highway patrol with a clue knows it's some young touring band, and one of the members probably has some pot.

I have so much respect for the artist that are willing to live that way so us fans can enjoy their work. They also make shit for $.
