Concert DVD suggestions?

I seem to be on a concert DVD kick so I want to keep it kickin'... just checked out The Concert in Central Park (woah) and Queen in Montreal (woah).

Let's bring on more woah factor. Suggestions? Personally not into metal but post it anyway, probably lots of metalheads lurking somewhere in here.

the only couple ive seen were the berzerkers "principals and practices of the berzerker" and between the buried and mes "colors live". both come very highly recommended. from here on i dont expect to see much in the way of metal, the average age of forum goers on here seems to be around 100

Most of my suggestions would be harder rock or egads....metal. Keep Godsmack Changes on my DVR to watch now and again. There are some great concerts on the HD channels that I record. The music festival ones are great with a loads of groups. I watched Slipknot last night

Kate Bush - Live at the Hammersmith Odeon (1978, I think)
Caught it on "Night Flight" (old cable show) and it affected my musical tastes dramatically for life. Kate is/was an amazing vocalist, pianist, dancer and interpretive perfomer all in the same concert.

Also - Pink Floyd, The Wall. It's not technically a concert video, but might as well be.
If limited to recordings of live perfomances - Pink Floyd, Live at Pompeii.
Spectacularly good.

i think bury your dead has a dvd out, you get to see when the vocalist gets hit in the head with a guitar and goes to the hospital after for staples

Oh yeah, for anyone into Electronica/House music, I once saw the Justice documentary or live DVD or whatever you would call it about their backstage shit... that was pretty cool!

Thanks macbill, didn't realize there was more Simon and Garfunkel waiting for me to watch! I plan on watching lots of those.

Always fun to watch. Buddy Guy's performance is just stunning. There is a bonus DVD out now.

I LOVE concerts! if i cant see them live, the next best thing is watchin the dvd on my big screen and blastin it real loud. My all time favs:

"Arch Enemy - Tyrants of the Rising Sun" - a swedish melodic death metal band - A flawless performance by the most amazing band in the world, guitar-wise especially. If you play guitar at all, theres no way you couldnt appreciate these guys in some way, even if the vocals and other bits might put you off, the guitars are and always have been the main draw of the band. Just watch the clips! First 2 are beautiful guitar solos, third is one of my fav songs ever which also has incredible solos in it!.

"Therion - Miskolc Experience" - a full symphony + choir + metal band = the most epic and amazing music imaginable. Fans of classical and metal will find large amounts of common ground here. The first half of the show is remakes of classical compositions, while the second is Therions actual songs. "Opeth - Lamentations" + "Opeth - The Roundhouse Tapes" - so damn beautiful, anyone who loves music in general should be able to find something to appreciate in these masters. Progressive metal at its absolute finest. The beauty of the slow somber acoustic passages and Mikael's AMAZING (best in the world IMO) clean vocals, sharply contrasted with the power and aggression and drive of their heavier riffage and (again, best in the world) heavy vocals... It's just incredible. I've seen these guys 5 times in concert, and I fully plan on seeing them any opportunity i get!

"Spiritual Beggars - Live Fire!" - THIS is the band/concert you want to jam to when your stoned. Stoner rock/metal at its best. A very 70's rock vibe with great beats, riffs and melodies! I have yet to find a stoner who DOESNT like Spiritual Beggars. My 40-some year old professor at college turned into a big fan of theirs when i played some on a trip we all went on, and thats not unusual!

"Rammstein - Live aus Berlin" - German industrial metal goodness. Not for everyone by any means, but they are very entertaining visually also!! Very funny guys actually!

"Bloodbath - The Wacken Carnage" - Bloodbath IS brutal death metal, a motherfucking supergroup! If you dont headbang, you wont like this band, if you do, you'll be instantly in love!

I first saw it first on the big screen. I got the dvd as soon as it was released. Janis is simply amazing. BTW track seven from the first disk is listed as 'Better Take Jeses' Hand'. The name of the song is actually 'Cold Jordan'.
