I'm kinda excited for the flood of new first hit posts. I'm even excited for the questions, as it means we get to set someone on the path properly as was done for me!
I'm kinda sad to say, but I'm packing up my Volcano Hybrid due to this. I may decide to sell it now. One hit from the Weedeater and the Volcano may be gone...and I love my Volcano.
Better flavour, harder hits, on demand, simple and easier to clean. I wanted a vape that hits like my Sticky brick OG, but no torch/butane. This is basically that. The flavour is miles ahead of the Volcano....too bad because I though it was awesome right up util my first hit with the Weedeater.
I agree, an on demand Volcano would be pretty neat. S&B warranty is awesome no doubt. Its a bit too expensive an item for me not t use though.I did the same thing back when I got mine a little while back. The Volcano hybrid is also a lot harsher. However the volcano hybrid extracts evenly while the Flowerpot does not without stirring and even with stirring the extraction isn't nearly as even as the volcano hybrid. Another good thing about the VH is that it doesn't have an exposed coil like the FP. Watch those hands and be careful not to drop anything!. VH can hold a lot more weed and will get you more baked in one session faster than any other vape and hit's harder. My VH is still in the closet though because there are a ton of things I love about the FP also. There is just more to the VH and it's just as smooth maybe even smoother vapor than the FP with the obsidian attachment. Without it though it's kind of harsh. The VH one of things I don't like is if you can't finish a bowl in a sesh the VH will just keep on cooking your weed. Now if S&B comes out with an all new Volcano that is on demand that's something I'd be interested in.
Another good thing about S&B is whenever something is wrong within the warranty period I've sent both Cratfy+ in and VH and have had them replaced without any hassle at all. Returns/warranty and RMA are very important to me when choosing a product.
Trust me, the delta3 scoop is worth the money. I have 2 (thought I lost the first one, so bought another but with the tamper on other side, which I prefer over the poke). It is longer too, so easier to use.Order is scheduled to arrive on Friday. I'm already kicking my self for not grabbing the PAX scoop with my VROD bundle. I know I'll be happier with the Delta3D Scoop-n-Poke once I get over the sticker shock and buy the $30 scoop. Currently have a set of tiny measuring spoons that will have to keep doing their thing.
Already thinking about getting a Bucket and Flat coil at some point in the future for a better concentrate experience. Maybe then I'll throw in the PAX scoop.
Friday can't come soon enough
Try slowing draw speed, or if you can use a carb cap. Personally I always use a carb cap and I vape at 680-700 with my VROD.My new Vrod came in, what a beauty she is. Fired it up at 630 and let it heat up for 10-15 mins. Took a bunch of draws and herb did not cook. Went to 660 same thing. Abv is very green. What's the best temp? Controller came set at 710
Always carb cap. I've had several flowerpots in the past and never had this problem. I am thinking it has something wrong with it being new?Try slowing draw speed, or if you can use a carb cap. Personally I always use a carb cap and I vape at 680-700 with my VROD.
If you are clueless as to what to do when you receive it, then yes, of course, follow instructions. If you already understand how to set it up and power it on, then hit up me or Cannabis Hardware for advance setup tips. Otherwise, it's kind of a no-brainer. Assemble, set temp, hit power, draw.... Ya know?My WeedEater shows up in 2 days, do you guys recommend following the official instructions that comes with the thing or is there a better source?
lucky bastard, mine is still as customs. I chose USPS to avoid fees, but I'd sacrifice 30 bucks to have it in my hands right now.Another Canadian here. DHL came very fast but it’s cost me 30 some bucks for their fees. Total BS but no choice but to pay it.
Is there actually a better / more optimal PID temperature controller out there, or does everyone else just go with whatever NewVape bundles it with / whatever they get from DHgate? Does it even make a difference if it's just an electrical conductor used to heat up a rod?
ThanksSomeone with time may respond, or while waiting, you can search the forum, as this question has been asked and answered many times. I own a Maxvapor and the Auber 300b, I’d recommend the Auber.

Hey guys I just got my setup in the mail, do you guys think I should clean the glass piece before using it or do you think it is good to go with a simple wipe down?
1- most likely someone will answer this question soon, or NV??Hey guys I just got my setup in the mail, two questions.
1. how do I remove the auber controller knob and replace it with the metal one? It came with no instructions
2. Do you guys think I should clean the glass piece before using it or do you think it is good to go with a simple wipe down?
1- most likely someone will answer this question soon, or NV??
I’ve never got a PID cover, maybe if they do one for the 2x controller??
2- I’d NEVER EVER use a glass piece unless I clean it myself at least once, or it’s been used in front of me at least once.
Same goes with the NV gear.
They clean most of the stuff, but all components come with oily residue and microscopic dirt, from handling, manufacturing and machining.
And I doubt they clean their glass, even if it comes from domestic or imported sources.
This is a vape/manufacturing shop, they machine medical stuff, but medical stuff gets sterilized before any use.
I’d wash all the NV gear with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse very well. Wipe all down with 99-91% ISO before using.
Let all dry well.
Same goes with the glass.
I hope you’re enjoying one or if not the best available desktop right now.
Stay vaped. Mantente de la mente!!!!
Auber has a really good reputation when I was looking at PID's which is why I went that route. I like the rotary dial but I wish I could power on through a smart plug and have the coil automatically heat up like the NV PID. I bought the same Auber that CH sells but directly from Auberins Instruments last year with the forethought that I might end up with a Flowerpot. Is there actually a better / more optimal PID temperature controller out there, or does everyone else just go with whatever NewVape bundles it with / whatever they get from DHgate? Does it even make a difference if it's just an electrical conductor used to heat up a rod?
In case you are not on the mailing list, I received this message today. If you didn’t have the money or missed the 420 sale, this might appeal to you?
