Hey guys, a few questions about my cannabis-infused coconut oil.

1- Can I mix it with anything I want? Cocoa powder to make canna-choco milk? Salad dressing? Make some 'cannachicken' (avoiding direct heat, of course)?

2- Where do you get lecithin? Walmart? And if I'm only able to get pills, could I just pop the pill casing off or melt?

1- yes it's very versatile!! Also if you used abv or decarbed properly, there is no worries of heat besides scorching whatever it is your cooking of course... 2- look at your local health food stores ask for non gmo lecithin granules I don't recommend going the pill route but I do recommend taking one of those pills the day before and the day of consuming the oil....

The only thing I could find about the proper amount of Lecithin to use is this. Anyone know what they are talking about or have some better info? Trying to figure out what the proper ratio of AVB to Lecithin would be. I have seen some that use around 10 to 1 and others that use 2 to 1.

    Edit: Does this make sense?
    Viscosity Modification
Lecithin products allow control of viscosity in liquid and semi-liquid products. For example, chocolate and compound coatings utilize lecithin to control viscosity. Lecithin greatly reduces the surface tension of fats, allowing the particles of chocolate, sugar and other milk products to be coated. This coating improves the foodstuff particle flowability and significantly improves mixability. Typical usage levels for viscosity modification range from 0.2%-0.6% of total product weight.
Also, according to the chart at the bottom of this page, for baking it would be best to use
Alcolec S, a high grade, unmodified fluid Lecithin. It contains a high level of natural,
    functional Phospholipids.

Did you ever get anywhere with this research? I have a bit of soy lecithin liquid and coconut oil and have been planning to make brownies but haven't found any info on amount of ABV and lecithin to use in a batch.

    Salutations Herbal Ant,

I hope that wasn't from me but i made cookies with 50 ml of cannabic oil which included 4 or 5 lecithin capsules, so the ratio seems about right. The problem i faced was when i wanted to know how long it takes to transfer the goodies to this oil, but i think i made progress when i decided to stirr during 4 hours in a double-boiler. That was with lightly spent material from my pipe (while my HA left nothing to reclaim when i tried). Only the oil is used and i pre-heat to 220 °F, the mix is from Betty Crocker as i recall...

    :peace:

The bottle of granules I have says 1 TBS is the recommended daily amount. I try to make it so however much I plan on eating, only has about 1 TBS in it. So if I was going to eat two brownies a night and I know the batch makes 12 brownies, I put 6 TBS in.

Thanks for the info! Now are you putting ABV into these brownies or green herb? I've made cannabutter with reg greens many times and have a good ratio for that, I'm just not sure how much more to use when using ABV.

So far I have just used ABV; tried making oil, butter, grinding it up and using it as a flour substitute in cookies(They came out good, but the taste...:puke:). I haven't found a decent way to do it yet, not sure if it's the ratio, if my old ass oven is fucking it up, or if edibles just don't effect me. I am currently still experimenting...

I'll save you the research for a very good method for brownies; not cookies per se. It's very simple and effective. Grind up 1/2 cup of ABV to powder. Add 1/2 cup organic canola oil. (I find coconut oil too sweet.) add a dash of salt and vinegar and seal the jar and shake it. Let it sit for 7 days away from heat and light. Shake it every day once. Then use that oil for the oil that's call for in the brownie mix (Get a box that calls for 1/2 cup of oil.). Don't bake the brownies at a temp higher than 325 even if you have to bake a few minutes longer. Then let the brownies cool in the freezer - they will also solidify in case that's necessary. I guarantee that you will be affected.

Also do some research on "firecracker" recipes for something fast and personal.
