I have a Vapolution and I use the AIW bowl. I've noticed some resin build up in the tube and was wondering if it can be vaped somehow or should I just clean it out...

Soak (and shake) your bowl in ISO alcohol to remove the residue. Use a glass or ceramic container that's easy to scrape. Then let the ISO evaporate and scrape up the hardened brown residue, which is best vaped on top of some herb.

Newbie question: can I use regular alcohol instead of iso ? Like 80 proof, or 190 proof, alcohol ? I wouldn't mind losing some efficiency, in order to avoid the iso.

You can use grain alcohol. Some people say it leaves sugars in the resin and ISO is cleaner.

An important point is to filter the solution before evaporating it. That way any plant solids don't leach chlorophyll etc. into the mix.

:2c: General answer to the thread title...yes! Also, I wouldn't use grain alcohol to make something vaporizable when cleaning parts/leftovers (sugars, etc)--only for food/beverages.
