knicker i know it works well on bongs and attachments so it is great to see in action. Maybe use a little less herb so u get better flow etc. I never use that much at one time. I use my aromed bottle for my swing vape since i no longer have bongs around....

Great video knickertoker, although i must agree with kittyboy, that is a LOT of herb. I don't use that much in a week. hehehe.

It would allow for a better extraction if you use less, i think. Another thing i noticed is how the halogen lamp shines brighter when you pull, i suppose it is to keep the temperature steady as you pull.

Great looking glass pieces too.

Save those vape remains. I had a test done and remains had about 1/2 the oringinal thc left plus lots of cbd and cbn. good for baking.

The light is temperature sensitive controled so as you toke harder light will respond.

Definitly, aromed brownies, hehehe. :ko:

I understand about the temp control, it just interesting to know how more power you have to give the lamp to attone the temp drop. A good visual to how the draw and the draw speed influences temperature :)

I love the Aromed - just found someone selling one cheap locally. Can you get the bulb anywhere aside from a vaporizer dealer, ie home depot?

The stem of an Arizer Solo fits perfectly in the end of the silicone tubing and creates the perfect amount of restriction on the line to create better vapor at lower temperatures, and without the toasty taste, and without splashing the water quite as high in the bubbler, but still percolating it nicely. It really improves things for me.

Dude you rock! This dude wants to sell it to me for 75 bucks and all it needs is a bulb.

That looks like a good option. Spec'd precisely the same as OEM for Aromed. My link is a 120v. Not sure if that would cause a problem, but I think you found the winner, if Home Depot is a no-go.

You should get the 12Vm Osram 64440S as this is what the maker of the Aromed recommends. This will insure everything would work as planned. Amazon has them for $4.25 so they are a good deal and they last for 2000 hours. Just make sure you don't install the bulb with your bare hands because the natural oils on your hand can damage the bulb. A paper towel or clean latex glove will do. Have fun.

Thanks Luchiano - I ended up going with this http://www.amazon.com/Feit-Electric-BPQ50T4-50-Watt-Halogen/dp/B000I1ABR8/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt - I am psyched to play tonight with this.

mvapes, that looks like it has the same specs so you should be good. Next time you want or need a new bulb you know which ones is recommended by Aromed. Have fun.

Picked up the Aromed last night - this thing is a tank, I LOVE it! I think I have to play with the temp a bit - I vaped last night at 230c and it was hitting heavy - similar to my DBV. Luchiano - thanks for all your advice on the bulb - what are your thoughts on temp? Is there a way to switch over to Fahrenheit on this unit? Any advice, tips, or tricks welcome.

To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius just press the + and - button at the same time for around 3-5 seconds. Remember to look at the blinking light to let you know if you are inhaling at the proper speed for proper extraction.

A new way of vaporizing that I'm doing now may seem weird to most but here it is. I just put in a speck of herb around .005 or a little less and slowly raise the temperature from 360f to 420f. Sometimes I just start out at 396f and go to 420f if I don't want to wait. Once I'm done with the first session I continue to load another bowl with the same amount and do the same process. I continue until I have vaped around .10-.20 grams of herb in total. The goal is to vape at a temperature and with enough herb that you don't see any vapor or barely any in the water chamber and when you exhale. It may seem weird because we are so used to seeing smoke or vapor being that we come from a smoking culture but with vaping there is no need to exhale vapor and in fact you are wasting good valuable substances when you do as well as raise your tolerance over time. It's cool once in a while like on the weekends or every other day but not everyday. I'm going to stop here because I don't want an argument to start but try it for yourself and I really think you will like it but it is weird at first being that you are using so little and seeing nothing being released when you exhale and in the water holder.

Did you get the manual that comes with it?. If not I found a site that has it:

I am on the prowl for a water pipe with a deep enough down-stem that I could use with the Aromed. Any suggestions?

It might be cheaper overall, and would certainly open up your options a lot more, to trim the down stem off an AroMed bowl and use it like a 14mm slide. If you can somehow score the glass just below the ground glass portion, and then apply heat (such as hot water), it should break fairly cleanly at the score.

Alternatively, the 14mm slide does work well in most bong stems. Only very short ones won't accommodate it. It works great in my 14" bong, filters it verrrry nicely at 420F. But alternatively I just run it through the Magic Glass and then hook the tube up to my bong, for double filtration. That works too, and is much easier than trying to deal with adapting other things directly to the halogen bulb/slider, IMO.

How do you score glass? Totally interested in trying this. :brow:
