Arizer Ultimate Q Mods

I joined this forum primarily to get info on modifications / addons / pimp-outs, but I got sidetracked with some of the other interesting stuff up for discussion here.
But now that i've remembered why i am here, here goes.. I got the Arizer Ultimate Q for vaping different herbs with my partner. She has no smoking experience whatsoever, and it's my duty as a good partner to make sure her precious lungs are taken care of. I would hate for one of the many herbs we will be vaping to be too harsh, rough or painful for her. (We won't be vaping weed; more-so Damiana, Coltsfoot, Mugwort, etc etc - ALL of the remedial / aromatic herbs basically)

What I am getting at is that i'd love to attach some water filtration to the vaporiser. A bubbler, or something that will soften the harshness of the vapour without taking away from it's effects and flavour.
(Plus it would look fucking awesome I think)

Is this an easy modification to do? What is involved? and how costly is something like this?
Also, for those that know understand I want to achieve and have done something similar with their vape, can you provide links to where I can buy attachments or add-ons?
Pretty much any info or insight is helpful at this point. It has been 2 years since I smoked herbs and it was just through a bong. I'm diving into the vape world head first with high expectations!

Peace out and thanks in advance

Its easy. You will need some whip tubing that fits into the ssv wand and probably an adapter to connect the tubing to the bong. You can find those at 7th floor or at a retailer like vapor nation for around $8 and $10, respectively. I've been using the D020 cheap Chinese bubbler from DHgate ($30). Total cost around $50. Search for D020 bubbler or review the cheap, high quality bubble? Thread.

Well how about that.. Cheers mate.
Are there specific types of adapters I need to get, or does the Ultimate Q share the same size 'plug' as others? It's essentially just a vape with a tube that connects to the stem of a bong using an adapter. I can visualise that.
And then I'm guessing it's as easy as turning on the vape (without a fan on) and pulling the vapour through the whole contraption for fresh water filtered flavours. Does this noticeably reduce the harshness of it all, and can you still lightly 'sip' on the vapes or do you need to rip the whole thing like you would a bong?

The EQ comes ready to vaporbong with all you need out of the box except the water piece. You can use the elbow for the bag's mini whip to connect the stock whip into a vaporbong setup. Easy peasy.

I would recommend getting some silicone tubing as the pvc tubing that comes stock with the EQ is stiff and smelly.

There are lots of cheap bubblers and bongs to be had these days. Take a look at this thread for a ton of options.

You champion! I'll get some silicone tubing once I pick suitable and cool looking water piece. Any particular sizes I need to be aware of? I won't end up ordering a bong or bubbler and find that something doesn't fit, or that the silicone tube's diameter is too small or something?
Just trying to be thorough.
also had to type this with the little one on me. you have no idea how hard she made it to reply :o

You just want to make sure that the joint on the glass piece is 18.8mm female. Other than that it's all about personal preference.

I linked the correct diameter for the silicone (5/16 I.D.). ;)

Very much appreciated Stu. 18.8mm female joint will connect a bong to the EQ tube. The more you know ;)

Edit: I'm looking into this more. @Stu I might have one more question

The product you linked me to is described as '
White SiliconeTubing, 5/16"ID, 7/16"OD, 1/16" Wall, 25' Length'

Im looking for something Australian though (cheaper postage)
Do I just search for 5/16"ID tubing? Is the 7/16" OD & 1/16" Wall part relevant or important?

(and obviously the length is up to individual preference, but the rest confuses me a bit

Salutations Deja Vu,

It's funny, your name sounds familiar somehow. Like deja-vu!... :D

...something that will soften the harshness... ... I'm diving into the vape world head first with high expectations!

I've only tried the Arizer V-Tower for a brief period of time though i made circles around the HerbalAire for about 25 months so i may have a few thoughts to share anyway. Hence i'd suggest you proceed with pictures:

Or more specifically:

The expressions "Fog Conditioning" and "FogBong" should work fine as keywords in a text search.

The ID is what is important. 5/16" is ideal IME, however due to its elasticity, 1/4" and 3/8" will work in a pinch.
I think outer diameter would be more important
OD is not important. The OD will be (ID + (wall thickness x 2)).
