Arizer Solo

Got mine! Got the M1D model. I'm really impressed with the solidity of this machine. It's comfortable in the hand.. My first couple draws seemed extremely hard to get, so I really gave it a pull and got too much (I'm a pussy). It seemed to hit much better the longer it was on.. I'm sure stuff was just getting 'seated'. I ran it at 4 with a little Warlock. I ran it for it's full cycle and am way higher than I'm usually comfortable with. Glad I decided on something brainless for dinner.. Very high.. lol.. taste was great. Very happy camper.

You could have chosen shit for dinner and it would taste good to you right now my friend! Happy High Trails

mvapes,
I've been thoroughly enjoying my Arizer, but it's left me with some ABV (something I'm not used to having!)

Just ground it up, put it in a small milkshake, and waiting for the ride right now!

So my M102 is chipped all the way around. Theres only ceramic on the bottom and a bit on the bottom of the sides. I think it's still good to hit. What about you guys? doesn't it just turn into SS when it gets chipped?

I'm not sure what I'm doing differently, but it seems that some sessions last longer than others. I'm more than sure I'm packing the stem almost exactly the same each time (dome screened; half of the bowl), but the length of vapor production varies.

Maybe I should by a scale to make sure it's the same amount?

My AVB looks dark brown at the end of each session, so I guess I'm doing it right. It's just kind of perplexing. I don't pack it because I don't want to deal with mixing midway. Is that my problem right there?

I was also curious about sitting on sessions. Do you guys chat up with friends during a session and take your time, or just straight up hit it without any slight breaks? My GF loves chatting while vaping and kind of sits on her turn to hit the solo. :\ Maybe that's why the vapor production varies so much lol.

you'll be fine. You won't want to use that as a warranty claim as Arizer now excepts you to send the unit back. So you might as well keep your nice hot ceramic. And yes it is just SS underneath.

Hey Drxx ,
What's that you say , your GF likes to chatted up .
Hmmm, that's unusual ...I'm more concern with that aspect :)

jk,
That just reminds me of when at parties , and a joint is being passed around .
And it gets held up by my wife telling her stories . And if I ever interrupted her by
hinting that she should pass it ....Dog house .

I think bag vapes is better suited for chatters :)
Also for some reason , they prefer to share a bag mouth piece than a stem tube . imo

I'm really , really enjoying my Solo

Happy vaping all ,

It's usually just me and my GF vaping and she gets into her stories also. The stories can drag on for minutes, and I'm stuck there looking at the solo like a chubby girl looking at the last slice of cake. I bet there is vapor being produced without any draws during that time. Oh well... the sacrifice one makes when having a life partner to vape with. ;)

I think I might try exhaling vapor into a bag and just reusing that. It might be a bit unhygienic, but I want to see if I can maximize the amount of THC absorption!

yeah thats what i figured. do you think theres anyway to just get all the ceramic off?? sometimes it peels if i pick at it but i dont wanna scratch the SS in the process.

While you are correct that they charge for shipping now, they do not if you return the Solo to the place it was purchased. I recently had a ceramic bowl with chipping returned, and after speaking with Arizer and the store where it was purchased, arranged for a new SS model to be shipped from Arizer to the store, free. In this case, is it preferable to get the new stainless steel model, rather than a new m102 ceramic replacement, which is the other option I have, since the retailer still has those on hand? Would anyone say a new m102 (that is likely to also chip like my last one from the same "batch"), would actually be better than a brand new m1d or whatever it is?

Thanks for the input.

I say keep the ceramic and start saving for a new one. :)
Well it is not necessary to save for a new one, since we can exchange the chipping ceramic ones for new stainless steel ones, if they are actually better than the ceramic ones. All you gotta do is return it where you bought it to have the 2-year warranty honored...

PhreedomPhries,
I don't believe any of them are better than the ceramic I believe the ceramic's can and will always be able to get the hottest. JMO though

I dunno. If taste is on par, I might have to go for the stainless steel model, in the interest of getting the one that is going to hold up to the test of time better, beyond the 2 year warranty. As I understand, the battery life is slightly improved on account of better circuitry? I don't want to make a mistake and give up a ceramic model if it would clearly be better, but can't imagine that they haven't improved on the m102 in 6 subsequent iterations... As for being hotter, I don't know that that would matter to me, since i usually found myself starting out on 2, & ramping up to 4 with the m102. Don't most people find the Solo to be *too* hot anyways?

look up 2 liter bottle and a bag. Also, it does cook while sitting. Why don't you just tell her to pass it before she talks? Or you could just get another solo ;) haha and you can pack without having to stir. I pack all my bowls, every one one comes out even. I think packing works better. Creates tighter space between the bud, so air has less space to heat. just try it. I dont pack mine hard, just enough to where it's flat all across the top. Just experiment with things you're curious about. You're not like grind, packing, not packing, size of bowls, etc.

I'd go with the SS. I used to be a big fan of the m102, but like you said it will eventual chip off. Why not get the latest model with latest firmware, etc. The m102 gets hot, but the newest solo's get hot enough. I wouldn't risk the robot fart smell with the m102 either.

For those that do have m102 and other ceramic serials that have been WELL used, and not flaking/chipping, you are a rarity!

I had a tiny bit of chipping early, then it just stopped

I use the Ceramic over the SS, so it's certainly been well used...

Happy Rarity Here :D

Sorry Fred, that doesn't meet the rarity standard if it has a tiny bit of chipping lol ;-) j/k

You're lucky it just stopped! lol

I'm also starting to really wonder about a real v.2?

That's funny shit! I used to have the same look when sharing a J with my brother. He'd sit there and talk forever with it just burning in his fingers. And, fwiw, I've tried the rebreathing into a bag thing and didn't like it...no taste, warm and no benefit in effect.

Same thing here. It started chipping on the sides and has since stopped :) m103 here

Vape: why is he lucky it stopped? There should be no worry even if it does flake off. Just don't eat your ABV with it in it lol

Do you use the ceramic over the SS for any particular reason/benefit? I just want to make sure I don't trade in a device that could outperform the new m1d I will get in exchange.
