The Wire was/is probably one of the best shows ever written for TV loved that show. Another gem to
check out is "the Killing" if you like cop shows.

Been enjoying the ranch. Little commitment for a 30 min show and kinda funny. Plus watching Sam Elliot be an ass to Ashton Kutcher is hilarious.

Anyone else do Devilman: Cry Baby? My friends dad had some manga collections if Devilman we looked through when we was kids. It was excellent just finished the last episode. Not Neon Genesis Evangelion deep, but still a trippy watch with lots of extreme violence and fan service.

The Shield is not in the same category as The Wire or even The Killing, imo. The Shield is more like Monk than those other two shows mentioned.

German series "Babylon Berlin" is now on Netflix. Time period piece in the vein of "Boardwalk Empire", "Peaky Blinders". Pretty good if you like to really get into a show and well developed characters.

This one's on Amazon Prime Video, not Netflix. Logan Lucky is a caper movie with some good understated acting. Fun and entertaining.

Just watching The Day of the Jackal, I've seen it before but it's been a while. A classic for sure.

Is there a movie/film thread on here?

Black Mirror is a series I cannot stop watching. I know I'm late to the party and it's on the 4th season but God damn!! These episodes can have you stuck thinking about how close to reality it really is!

@Helios the new Jessica Jones started well then... MEH....IMO....
@StickyShisha I am in the middle of the All Mighty Johnsons and loving it....Some episodes better than others but we like it a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions as I run out of things to watch/couch potato.

To contribute I would suggest Vikings on Amazon......Wow that was good.

@Newcastle yea I was just discussing this with my lady, we have one last episode to watch and I'm dragging my feet on it, the first season of JJ was much better, I am looking forward to Daredevil season 3 with Vincent D'Onofrio coming back as Kingpin should be interesting.
