If possible, I am looking for an all glass vaporizer. I want it to use water to moisturize, and cool the vapor. I am open to any suggestions. I had originally thought about a Verdamper, but I am being told that they use a lot of material to do a decent job. I would like the Vaporizer to be efficient too. I don't want to use butane, or cigarette lighters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Cloud looks very interesting, but who knows how long before it becomes available?

As far as far as the Gn0me; its not that I am afraid of butane, I just don't want to have to deal with it.

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

just wanna point out. there is a stainless steel perforated "can" that you load your herbs into. the air path is all glass except for that lil bit.

personally that doesn't bother me. but it's not technically 100% all glass.

Vapolution - with the All-In-Wonder bowl provides an only-glass vapor pathway.

or you can do what i did and make your own.

almost all glass vapes have a metal screen in the air path (not vapor path) but if you truly want 100% glass, the vapoultion has no metal at all.

It definitely has some drawbacks though, the glass screen is nowhere as fine as a metal one so you need a real coarse grind. There's also a fairly small load size so its not quite a heavy hitter like the SSV/buddah.

That's why they have the All-In Wonder bowl, it doesn't need a whip.

I'm not sure how efficient they are, but have you looked in to the Herborizer or the VHW?

What vaporizer are you refering to? Is it the Solo?

I am very interested in both the Herborizer and the VHW. I hear that the VHW is very delicate, and the silicon ring tends to crack. The Herborizer I have heard has a "metallic" taste, but having never used one I don't know that to be truth. I was looking at the Verdamper, but hear that it requires a large load to work well. Anyone that owns any of these, and can shed some light...please do.

I have no problem with a metal screen. Don't misunderstand my goal. I am trying to get as close to all glass as possible. (An example of what I would like is something like The Verdamper)

I love the cloud's concept, but unfortunately its not available. To make matters worse, I don't think anyone knows exactly when it will be available.

The Herborizer's metalic taste is new to me (never tried onem yself), but otherwise I've heard/read the same things you did.

Perhaps it's possible to reduce the bowl size of the Verdamper like some people do with the SSV with a mini whip, but the bowl is rather large and as far as I know it doesn't work to well if you only fill it partly. I only tried one once or twice though, I'm sure you could get better info from someone who actually owned one.

I'd go look around in the corresponding thread to get some more info on the Herborizer and Verdamper first if I were you.

Perhaps this is one for you as well if you don't mind doing without warranty: click me

To bad you won't use torches man, I really love my all glass Vapocane.

You should definitely take a look at the herborizer!
All glass path, water filtration, great flavor! The only downside is its fragility, and if you live in US it can get expensive for the exchange/shipping.

If anything it works too well.
But it does not become less efficient, when only partly filled, nor does it suddenly need a lot of material to work.
The effect and effiency i highly suspect stay exactly the same,it just makes vaping larger amounts so easy it can be hard to resist to do exactly that. ;)
I do like to fill my bowl with quite a large amount,so i only have to fill it once a day.
I can see it being a bit 'overkill' when vaping small amounts is your goal.
There is a new product coming to Everts site,if i'm accurately informed and all goes well.
This will include smaller bowls, which fit De Verdamper as well, might be what your looking for.
I'll ask if there's a chance of getting an expected by date.

You mentioned a "mini whip" for the SSV...would you have a link for it? Sounds interesting...

Thanks.

You'd have to search the SSV thread for a link, or ask for it there. They are made in batches and not always for sale. Not sure who makes them, I think it's originally a VaporBrothers wand but I might be wrong.

I can show you one though, it's the second one from the left in the first photo in this thread: click me

I absolutely love mine, it completely replaced my SSV. But I have one of the first models with the ceramic covered bowl that runs a little hotter then the ones they currently sell. I'm not sure if I could love the newer 'improved' models equally. Already send one back because of a terrible stink, awaiting it's replacements now.

But if you can find one of the older ones with the ceramic bowl & you don't mind that the ceramic will chip off sooner or later I'd say go for it.

If you're looking for an all glass vaporizer, IMO De Verdamper is the best available on the market. The quality and quantity of vapour produced is like nothing else I've ever tried. :ko:

The bowl/head piece is indeed large, as others have mentioned, but it can be filled partially and still achieve excellent results. The use of the device can be varied greatly, IME. Personally, I wouldn't mess with trying to fit a smaller bowl piece to it. It works excellently as designed.

The biggest drawback to the Verdamper is pretty obvious, but if you're looking for an all glass vape, you've probably already considered the durability risk. It certainly isn't indestructible. :(

That will be the expected and probably correct response from Evert too after i've had some time to think about it.
I also asked the question about the amount to a far more experienced user of De Verdamper and he assured me it works just as well with 0.2gr. as with 2.0gr..

And yes,it's certainly glass though,if you treat it rough, you will pay the price. :p

About the smaller bowls, there are some Horky's in stock atm(as the new addition will be named),but not even enough to make it in to the webshop.
Although discussing those here might be a bit non-PC,as these are actually ment for combustion(basically just a labglass bong)...

I haven't tried to vape with the smaller bowls myself and i don't think i'm gonna try.
The smaller size would restrict airflow,so would very likely run hotter than with a regular bowl.
And as Cloud_Surfer justly remarked,it already works excellently as designed. :D

I would take a look at the newly released viVape from Vaporfection... this unit has a glass heating element which creates a very pure and flavor rich vapor. It can be used in combination with the Aqua Vape attachment for cooled vapor. Plus it can be also be used to fill balloons, which is great for groups.

I'm a big fan of the Life Saber as well, it's my go to vape at home and paired with a water pipe, it's literally best case.

But it remains to be seen how well isolated the vapor path is. Someone will eventually open one of these up. Until then, I can't convince myself of an all glass vapor path. And even if it's just cold air being passed through electronics-not for me.
