I'd bet a dollar that the grid pattern is simply where very slight high spots created by the fiberglass 'weave' embedded in the pcb substrate are getting rubbed down from use.

I think that's only speculation at this point. Any temp issue I've experienced so far is more due to too much button. If a batt feels too warm I just swap it out. If the unit feels to warm, is time to let it cool off a bit. That said, heat soaked Milaana + fresh brown batt= many superb hits per...

I like the brown ones, whichever those are. I think they are LG. Seem to last the longest of the batts I have.

One thing I found helpful for me to learn how to 'read' this vape was switching to a stem long enough to see the vapor production rate as it is happening. I think I've been to heavy on the button and now can get smoother hits and more hits per stem. Some of the smoothness is definitely a result...

I can only speculate but it's probably because swapping out a broken heater assembly is more involved than reattaching a loose one. I was speaking primarily as an end user faced with the choice of returning it or repairing it myself, if possible.
