"Hey Everyone,

We have a quick update today to inform you that the project is progressing nicely and we have delivered the vast majority of units. Although we are now into the holidays, Grasshopper production will continue at an increasing rate. Most of you already have your units, and for those still waiting they are coming very soon.

We are still seeing some issues with new units but these issues are far fewer than ever before and continuing to drop. As we implement tweaks to increase reliability we must train the assembly techs and update the quality control procedure. This process is ongoing and continually improving, with each week yielding better results. It’s easy to expect everything to go smoothly, but when you are working to break new ground it rarely does. We have replaced every unit that has had an issue and will continue to do so.

The new personnel we recently brought on are finally up to speed on the entire production. This, coupled with supply chain improvements and additional machinery has drastically increased throughput.

We’ll be back with the mid December update on the 15th.

The only commitment made in this update is for...the next update! on Dec 15th.
At least there's no apocalyptic news as we enter the holidaze.

Most of us have their units? How is that possible being I'm a dec. 9th early backer and still have nothing. Unless 80% of the people that ordered after me already have their's and I'm missing something, that's complete bs in my book.

Do you follow the gh shipping thread too? There's a recent post from someone in your situation who emailed ghl and got a reply. Seems like they went a little out of order (and/or ran out of some colors). I think you should email them and shake the tree. I think you're real close...

Humm was hoping to have gh this month :bang: but I guess the haze 3 and there herbalizer with scs grinder coming this week sometime will have to do :rockon:

Dec 12 backer here for Gray Ti, no confirmation yet but getting excited now.

Its looking like GHL is using a separate shipping sequence for color Ti backers, which is why they are getting shipped ahead of some SS backers. I imagine that with fewer color orders, they still have to have the bodies made and anodized in fairly large batch sizes, which would mean that when they get a whole bunch of color bodies in they assemble and ship them, especially when they cant make SS because they are waiting for parts. Just speculating but that would make sense.

yup. I'm Dec 11, SS & Green Ti. I just emailed them to see if switching to Bronze Ti would get my order out the door quicker. If it doesn't i said I would stay with Green Ti... but being in New Orleans, that bronze looks a lot like Saints gold!
EDIT to say I am still waiting on address confirmation email...

I know that this probably is more suitable to the shipping thread, but since there's talk here about them being close to caught up, I felt maybe it was more useful here.

I am a very late backer, and I just got my shipping notice for my titanium unit. I thought I was the last day, but my invoice says dec 12th, but the indie page says it ended on the 15th. Still, it's a good sign.

So, it appears for now to be true, they are actually almost caught up on all the backer orders.

When did you pre-order? I pre-ordered in May and still have not heard anything.

Wish I knew exactly how many preorders there were from end of '14 through June '15. Could be any amount, hopefully not more than a couple thousand.

There were a few. I ordered 12/27/14. Im not sure what the earliest is though. I have heard as early as 12/15/14. I received an email today from GHL saying... "We will start shipping pre-orders shortly after we finish the backer orders. We will not hold off shipment of your Green Grasshopper if your order is next in line for this model." So I took this to mean that if you ordered a gh that wasn't as popular you may get it sooner than you think.

I received notice from GHL on 12/22/14 that pre-orders were being accepted and placed my order on the 25th. I upgraded the order early summer from SS to Green Ti.

I kind of chuckle when I check the estimated ship date.. even though updated within the last two weeks, I'm still apparently getting mine last month still. I just hope they are spending this nonexistent time on sending out a functional product.

I still think they should just delete the estimates all together... then they will never miss them.

Damn, that's kind of a bitch. Having to wait another month after getting the address confirmation?? I thought once you received that the wait was over.

That's another (unnecessary) practice HL is doing that is probably not making folks too happy. :hmm:

My IGG order started as just a Ti and extra battery with case, but I added a second order of another Ti and a SS. So when they sent the address confirmation I told them I had the 2nd order to combine. I'm guessing that SS is holding it all up. I haven't heard of anyone later then myself getting a SS.

I thought ghl wasn't holding up incomplete orders. So if they have your ti and not your ss, they would ship the ti now. Seems like they aren't holding up shipments for missing accessories

I would love it if they sent my Ti's now instead of waiting on the SS! In my case, they might want to save on shipping. I'm in Ontario, Canada and paid extra for Priority.
