OK, I am about to pull the trigger on a new Chinese bong for a new log vape and smoking occasionally.

Right now I have a barrel shaped swiss perc bong I bought from Ioffer a while back. It's been my oil rig for my enail for a while now and works great. Eventually I would like to replace this with a new oil rig from DH gate as well.

Many will disagree with my assessment however I like the FC UFO due to the fact I can use my favorite mouthpiece the BENDER from W9 Tech.

However you can't go wrong with any you have listed.

I use D type bubblers for portables.
FC, GB and large volume cans I prefer for a desk top.

To be fair, I had the FC-187v1, however in my opinion, Yingmin5's quality on the GB-187 (and GB-187-S) seems to be better than the FC-187.

I like my GB-187-S more than my FC-187v1 simply because it's a much better build quality - welds look good, everything straight, and the perc fires equally around the entire circumference. Unlike my FC-187 which seemed to favor only several slits out of the entire perc.

The FC-187v2 is thicker glass, but aside from that, the GB-187-S performs better and looks better.

(Personally, StevenLMZ79 low quality was the final straw. I'm really done with most Chinese glass - fun to play with and experiment, but time to move on to real quality glass made by artists, not factories).

Well, that's kinda not fair because the FC-187 v.2 is a much better piece. My v.1 is pretty sucky with a bad perc that is WAY high in the can. I had shelved it before getting the Zion as nothing I had had enough airflow to get a decent hit with it. The Zion does so I can use it, but only with the Zion.
My V.1 was a replacement for one that came broken so I didn't have the heart to demand another, but I should have. I considered getting a v.2 and just paying for it, but after getting the UFO I don't really need it. I'll get something else next time. Probably the FC-Mod. I agree that Steven's quality is hit and miss but I want to support him for his willingness to make changes for us...

I honestly don't think I can afford most American glass. If there was no China glass I would have a lot less glass. I DO give business to OGB, however, and hope to get a JoDa piece some time soon. But otherwise it is pretty much China or nothing.

I got my replacement can for my fc mod and this this is a beast now..it really affected the whole piece with the glass nipple at bottom of main can..main downtem hit the bottom. Now it is perfect..love this piece..also got dabbacino to get my replacement sent..not a ad little rig..did some dabs and taste was great..guess gonna go for the hydratube now..

I alzo have the ufo v 1..how differant is version 2??

I feel ya, that's why I had to mention I was comparing to the V1. *However* I have given Steven MANY chances (more than any other vendor), and quality has always been subpar to the quality I've received from Sunshinestore, Yingmin5, and CleanClearGlass. Yes I know there are a lot of people holding pieces which are perfectly fine with no major imperfections, but a majority of the pieces I've seen or handled haven't been up to my standards for DHgate glass.

I will say that Steven does make up for it by shipping a replacement when necessary, for that I give him credit. But I still consider his quality sub-par to other well-known vendors on DHgate.

Me neither. That's why I'd rather save up and buy one or two quality pieces now that I really understand what level of diffusion I enjoy for my vaporizers.

I love experimenting and testing exotic rigs like the FC-710 before investing in the real thing, But at the end of the day, Chinese glass found on DHgate is not true Borosilicite glass. Most of it is Soda-lime glass. Works just fine for most of our needs, but it's melting temperature is nearly half that of boro. The strength and quality of the glass just isn't the same.

When I hold true borosilicite glass waterpipes, there's a noticeable difference in the look and feel of the glass. So much so, that these days I would rather invest my hard-earned money in an up-and coming glassblower like @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd and others on Instagram than on Dhgate.

It's a personal choice, I get not everyone can afford nice glass. I can't really either. But I've had my fun, I've bought over 40 pieces from China and learned a lot about different percs and water filtration. I'm sure I'll still keep a few in my collection. But I'm really phasing it out and trying to build up my collection of quality pieces.

On my BOA card there is something called "ShopSafe" that allows me to create a one use or limited balance card number to use for online or other dodgy transactions. It's a nice feature, but none of my other cards offer it. Something worth looking for if you often buy from unknown vendors.

I'm in the same boat Calyx. I'm about to either buy the Underdog or E-nano (Still deciding ) and I am pulling the trigger on a Bubbler to go with it. I'm ordering either the one you posted or the FC version Steven makes. The GB (or FC) can is a little bigger. I like that better for home use, D series better for the road. I am just wondering if Yingmin or Stevens quality is better? What do you guys think?

I have a bunch of FC items.
The quality is OK and not the real thing however cheaper.
I look at it like this:

Larger cans = desk tops
Medium cans = logs
Bubblers = portables

i use JHOOKS (sherlocks) with ASH COLLECTORS mostly for my portables.

I consider a D022, FC UFO Ideal for the NANO.

Others may have a different view?


GB series I tried to buy with no luck.
FC was easier to work with! (in my case)
D units from SUNSHINE STORE alway have worked!

FC-Ufo with the nano is my favorite at the moment. Paired with my custom mouthpiece and carb from @Oregonglassblower

I see that many of you have settled on an FC. I only have a few bubblers- an FC 711 and 187 v2. My favorite is still the DO-20 from sunshine. I reordered it when I broke it. I use it on the UD, e-nano and just about everything else I own with Ratchett's adaptor or a joda.

Is there any way to just get the bubbler and mouthpiece portion? Then I could pair a circ with the hydratree and have a nice big dry Evo mouthpiece...

I have the FC-MOD with the hydratube on the way. The $12 option are for the percs only. You should check in here daily. I wasn't going to recommend a Chinese version of any of Vapexhale products in the Vapexhale thread out of respect for Seibo. I also have spent a couple of thousand bucks in supporting their company so I don't feel guilty buying knockoffs of certain products.

FC 710 for oils. FC-187 v2 for flowers. Haven't tried the FC-mod, but plan to purchase.

Yes Im impressed everyone kept quiet over there, nice for VXL though and I'm sure their glass is on another level too (despite my own issues), you can even tell just by the way they all look and then how they feel...

However, I know no guilt so I'm all good there Now my notifications are refreshed so I'm gonna be in here more regularly again.
Think I'm probably going to have to get both ultimately?

I also don't feel guilty at all. I also have spent a lot of money on VapeXhale and from my experience with China glass the guys at VapeXhale don't have anything to worry about right now. I've broken two hydratubes now so I need a cheap daily driver and that is where China glass comes in. I really want a matrix perc hydratube though. That would be amazing!!!!

Just wait until 3d glass printing becomes more mainstream. Soon we will see designs that were never possible before and it will be CAD artists and engineers designing them vs glass blowers. I bet @Ratchett 3d store will explode with new options!
