It's actually Dec 1st the guy messed up on the date. There is a Dec 2nd confirmation though! It would be nice to see them get through at least Dec 5th backers this week.

November Grasshopper Update
Hi Everyone,
October proved to be a productive month for the Grasshopper Team. After producing over 1500 units, we’ve now converged on a reliable, repeatable assembly process. Using feedback from backers, we were able to pinpoint necessary design tweaks to increase reliability. Small initial batches allowed us to apply these tweaks as soon as they were finalized.
We recently received our largest batch of new parts to date. The shipment contained over 180,000 individual Grasshopper components. After inspection, everything looked great and we’ve entered the new parts into our production process.
Assembly over the last few months has gone much more slowly than anticipated due to parts revisions, the difficulty of the process, and delays with machinery and suppliers. Our current capacity stands at about 1300 Grasshoppers per month, but parts revisions and new machinery will be drastically increasing throughput.
The process of producing Grasshoppers is complicated and it has been very difficult for us to accurately estimate shipping dates. We were overly optimistic in the past, and though our unconventional approach to engineering and business has cost more in time, it’s yielded a fantastic product. Having corrected the issues and applied our new processes to production, we are finally starting large scale delivery.
We’ll have shipping estimates updated on the website shortly. You are all incredibly close to receiving your Grasshoppers and we look forward to completing each of your orders.

If everything they said in their email yesterday, which showed numbers, was true, then there's no reason all backers orders shouldn't be fulfilled by end of November. There were about 2,700 backer units, they say 1500 went out already and they have the capacity to make 1300 per month. So preorders SHOULD be getting their units starting no later than early-mid December. Despite all of this though I'm not expecting it then, I'm thinking maybe January or February for me to limit my hopes. I'm an early June preorder.

And who knows how the holidays will impact production. Even the ghl elves deserve some family and celebration time.

After telling someone the new site would be up yesterday evening I emailed Caroline asking what the deal is.

After crawling thru November backers, spending a week or three on one day's orders (they weren't especially heavy days in the campaign), it does appear shipping is actually picking up w several Dec 3rd backers getting confirms yesterday. I'm also a Dec 3rd, nothing yet, tho, I guess I'll be a measure of whether they send notices constantly or just at the beginning of the week (as they've mostly been doing the last few months).

It's because, just like the GH itself, their site uses groudbreaking new technology. They had to redesign the code a few times. The test site was crashing 9% of the time, but now they've got it down to only 5%.

Just got an email saying it will be late December (I bought in July) before they can ESTIMATE when my GH will ship. That just tells me all their updates about ramping up production is a bunch of BS or they are having so many return due to failure that the replacements are the "ramped" up production. Either way I am done with this company and asked for a refund.

This is like clockwork at this point. every 15 days someone gets totally scared that ghlAbs is out to scam em so they cancel their order
