Has anyone bought one of those VapeCases? How is the quality? I don't love that they plaster the name VapeCase on the side of it, doesn't exactly help with stealthiness. I can't help but think it's just a relabeled cheap "pelican-type" knockoff that can be bought somewhere for $8 but I can't seem to find where.
The sticker will peel right off. Solid case. Airtight. To big in my opinion though.

Edit: I broke my all glass stem last night. It was my favorite too. I'm not sure whether I should get another one or get a fancy stem. I've had one with airflow notches when I owned a solo and I didn't like it. It had to much airflow for a good hit. Anyone have any advice or tips for them? Higher temperature, tight/loose pack? I here a lot about them and wouldn't mind trying one again.

I bought a vape case for my Solo almost 3 years ago.

The case is sturdy and would appear smell proof.

I hardly use it since it makes my vape into a huge package.

With regard to stems, try a bent solo stem, they work great and are $20 cheaper than the PVHES stems.

Does anybody have any experience using the Air after a tooth extraction? I had a premolar out just under two weeks ago and I'm wondering if it's too soon to vape. I suspect it probably is with how much sucking is needed with the Air. I do have a few stems/tools (stock, easy-flow long mouthpiece, easy-flow water adapter, budgie bubbler and a regular bong), any of these particularly suited for super low resistance vaping?

Maybe you could have someone suck on the Air for you and then blow it into your mouth, kinda like a bird feeding her babies...I would recommend someone who practices good dental hygiene. I think if I was in your situation I would use the material I would be vaping and make some kind of edibles. Good recipes and instructions are easy to find nowadays on the interpaths.

I'm not at all qualified to offer dental advice, but two weeks seems like a nice long time to me. I know that when I was in the jazz band in high school, any time a horn player got a tooth extracted they were sidelined for one week, but after one week they were allowed to play again, and there is no way the Air causes as much oral pressure as playing a brasswind instrument. Just be careful not to jab the healing area with the stem.

Just make a gravity bong no sucking needed, we called the buckets when younger as that's normally what we made them with, all you need are two bottles (one bigger than the other) and some water, cut the top off the bigger bottle and the bottom off the smaller bottle, fill the big one with water and drop the smaller one in.

You can buy/make them with glass or plastic, I would suggest just plastic bottles to try the idea first, you probably already have some around the house, if you have glass bottles you can cut them with string/cord and nail varnish remover.

This is just in case my ramblings don't make any sense

You might want to check this out. I've used it on the Solo and it works amazingly. Warning to low-tolerance users, lol.

That's good advice, thanks. My dentist recommended no smoking for 72 hours and 'not using a straw as long as you can' so as a vaper I felt like I was in limbo a bit. I feel a bit safer giving it a shot at least now. :)

after a tooth extraction?

I vaped one day after a tooth extraction, all good
(But everyone is different for sure).
Drinking water was the best for me, i think always sugar heavy cola is worse than vaping.
I have vaped just a little bud (~0.05-0.1?) because of my body feel was not so good and i needed a bit time to get cure completly (this little annoying pain is gone after a week or so and i have vaped a bit at this time, all good too).

get well soon!:)

so how about domed screens? do I need them?

You don't need them but if you use a flat screen they clog quicker than a domed one

You can make a domed one use a 5/8 screen and shape it around a sharpie or sinilar trim corners.
Dome side up like a hat will cut stem to about half no stirring needed.
Dome side down like a cup works well too

And that is good for wax and concentrates to go right on it too? Or should I use cotton or rolling paper as a carrier for shatter/wax/budder?
And thanks!1!

You can make a wax and shatter sandwich using your cannabis. The cannabis usually absorbs most of the oil. It doesn't make much of a mess if you clean it when it's still warm. Bump your heat up a bit. I usually get a little piece of shatter and roll it in the cannabis, that's how I make my sandwich.

I like to get the bubbler out with my shatter and herb. You can just use the herb inside some cotton too.

Honestly I wanted to avoid that if at all possible and just vape stuff straight on its own but I had heard that. I plan to do pretty small amounts of concentrate but I guess it will become more clear when I use it how is best. I thought I read some people wipe it onto some rolling paper and put it in

Reddit post I was thinking about: "You want to avoid potential drippage into the stainless stell bowl, which could clog the air holes. I like to fold a little bit of hash into a rolling paper, crank the solo up to 7 and let it heat up for a couple minutes. Then carefully load the paper into the hot stem. The paper won't burn and the hash melts into the paper. With oil, you can put it on a little bit of cotton or hemp. You can sandwich kief into your herb and vape normally. Make sure you have 1/2 inch screens for your Solo."
And those mysterious screens

Having built a nice "stash", I have about 6 strains. There truly is a difference in how you need to prep each one, and how they perform. All strains are at least a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. Some 8, and 9 (never had a ten).

On my best strain, I got 2, ten minute "sip sessions" on one half loaded (dome screen) stem without ever bumping past white. In some of the lesser strains, I get one ten minute session. I find that shredding and drying can overcome almost any bump in the road. Also, load size has an impact on what temps to use, and how slow to draw.

I can understand why some cannot get this to guy to perform like I usually do. I get my best sessions when I can sit and concentrate on what I'm doing, like playing a musical instrument. If I'm too mindless, my technique falters a bit, and the session suffers. Think about walking and trying to play the flute, won't work.

Laying back, reading a book, watching TV, where my body is still, and breathing totally under my control, helps deliver top notch sessions. Mindless vaping doesn't produce nearly as much results in efficiency or medication level. There may be some other vapes out there that are more on auto pilot, but in the end, I think it's worth the effort to "play the AA" like the finely tuned instrument it is.

Shred fine, dry crispy, pack light, use blue, white, and green first.... Happy vaping!!!

I'm also noticing performance is different with some strains. And you gave me the idea of trying session 2 from the same half load - I was outside in bright light, about to dump out after a session, but it looked like too much was left so I gave it a try. I got a pretty nice session 2. But mine was loaded chunky and fresh so not sure what's best for going after 2 sessions.

But I've noticed some strains seem to vape better than others. I seem to get excellent results no matter how I load, chunky, fine, as long as I use no pack. I also go blue white green too.

Im having some trouble searching for it, but does anyone know if someone out there makes colored stems for the solo/air?

I've seen black before but I'm looking for someone who uses colored glass, Becuase I'm looking for a light blue stem.

Anyone know if the 'travel caps' sold at the AA link of PIU are like the stock caps? The stocks are nice and thick. The PIU version says rated to 140 f. Thx in advance.

EDIT

Nevermind. One review suggests that the piu version are not the same as the stocks.

Calm Consistency
Just got out of class and went to a bench and Air'd, no one knew of course. All this talk of people's seshes want me to describe how mine normally go. I always use the domed screens in both the acrylic tipped and all glass stems, but my all glass is my favorite. I suck up bud from my grinder or hand broken up, but won't typically use my Air if the bud is too dry or not sticky at all, as it seems to not vape efficiently and will char a bit. I pack it down just enough to maintain shape in my bowl, then tip it upside down to make sure nothing falls out.

I put the stem in immediately after turning on the Air, normally set to blue or white. I'll get quite a few great hits on blue/white, about 4-5 of these... and once it starts thinning or tasting a bit mediocre, I'll push it up to green. I'll get about 5 more hits out of this, but towards the end the vapor isn't truly satisfying and leaves a resiny feel to my lips (the mflb did the same thing to me towards the end of a trench). Once I can't produce vapor, or the herb tastes pretty bad, I cash it.

I typically don't "sip", I do one long draw, or I'll do one half-long draw, pause, then finish the draw...or cut it into 3rds, especially for those really long hits, we don't want that vapor thinning throughout your hit.

The top layer of my ABV will always be darker than the remainder, but not by much, and the remainder is most always throughouly vaped. I wish I could get a perfect burn all the way through, but I can't...and the fact that the top is a bit darker means the taste gets bad before it legitimately should be, I don't want to stir for several reasons not worth mentioning.

Despite the well function of the Air, I don't get absolutely satisfyingly stoned unless I do two stems (and maybe not even then sometimes). One is great when considering the convenience of the high, but it doesn't always get me there like my E-Nano can. It reminds me more of the flight box high, just a bit stronger, but still has that "portable" feeling high. Anyone else experience this or understand that feeling?

All in all....love this product

Sorry to hear but no, the Air really gets me where i want.
I do long draws too and dont pack it too tight, even with low quality buds iam suprised, but i cant compare it to a desktop vape (maybe in future:) ).

I am about to order an Air, and am looking for recommendations about what accessories to include in the order.

The Air will sit on my table at home and be only used around the house and yard. No need for transporting nor stealth. I'll be only be vaping ground MMJ, no oils or concentrates.

Since I usually have several strains of herb in my fridge, it would be nice to have some pre-loads available. What size cups are appropriate? ... I have caps that fit AA batteries.

Thanks for your help!
