I've seen some Chinese vendors carry "pinwheel" type percs , which means percs with moving glass parts are possible for Chinese glass companies...but Pukinbeagle's Propeller is going to be extremely hard to get right. I'm sure im not the first person to ask about it though .

Those chinese "pinwheels" use acrylic (plastic) for the moving parts. Chinese mystery glass is one thing but mystery plastic inside is a no go for me. So many dhGate listings say "Recycled" not "recycler"...something lost in translation or... :shrug:

CCG build quality and raw glass seems a step above my other china glass (no yellowish tint to the glass).

I have had 4 pieces from Steven - all of them have been exceptionally thick glass - but thick heavy glass doesn't mean shit if it's put together like crap. Of all 4 pieces I've had from Steven, only one of them would be on the same build quality as my other glass from Kathy0577, Yingmin5, Sunshinestore, Alina0086, and CleanClearGlass - like seriously I wish I was making this up but the build quality has always been rather "meh" to me. Issues from sloppy welds to poorly cut percs, crooked pieces, and unstable bases. Just stuff I hadn't really experienced before with any other chinese vendor, I've seen it all so far with Steven. Yes I'm sure some people have gotten excellent copies of these pieces, but I haven't really had much success

I have given Steven one more chance with the FC-711, but I'm not holding out much hope for it (I got it mainly to use as a 14mm female stand for pictures on my store, so as long as it's not broken, I'll be happy with the transaction :lol:

)

Customer service has been fine with every vendor I've dealt with so far. Even Steven (Jane?) was more than fair with their customer service - shipping me a replacement FC-UFOv2 without having to order anything else.

The eggs and straight fab I would consider moderate to high diffusion.

The only really low diffusion model I can think of off the top of my head that we helped get made is the diffusion pump...

Is the original möbius a 14?

Remove that dumb joint support, put a normal support there, (maybe) bring the stem in a little closer to the can, and make it an 18mm female - and I'd buy the hell out of it.

As it is I'll wait for a v2 with those changes

(And hopefully a bubbler or sidecar mouthpiece)

Can we please just nuke these 14mm joints off the face of the planet?

I received my first piece from Steven today and now I know why he is having trouble with damaged glass on FC, he is not packaging like every one else on dhgate. I have had 8 layers or more of bubble wrap with every order and with Steven I only had one wrap and some chinese napkin or newspaper of some kind. He also put my bubbler in a different cardboard box I guess that could protect it more or less.

First thing I'd ask is have you confirmed the matrix perc in your D020-D is fully firing? Or is it favoring only half the perc? I find many of my showerhead percs tend to favor 1/2 or 1/4 of the slits due to variations in the depth/size of the cuts - that's one of the reasons why I like the matrix perc on my GB-187-S over the perc on my FC-187v1 - slightly more diffusion ( just the right amount for me personally )

they made 50 so hopefully V2 will be 18mm and can be pulled closer to the can. Other than that I'm pretty good. I wasn't feeling the mouth piece originally but it's grown on me :nod:

The function videos of the legit version looked kinda cool but I probably have enough fab-style pieces. Would definitely want to see a video of CCG's first though I bet they nail it.

Looks like the base is mostly hollow, might be tippy. Wish they would just do solid bases instead of saving a buck of two on Glass.

I know opinions over DH Gate and some of the products they sell are rather divided, I have never ordered anything from there or even know someone who has. So any tips or things to look for that may help me out would be most appreciated! If I understand its kinda like E-Bay if the seller and store has high rating and good customer feedback they are usually safe to order from? Is the quality of the glass even worth the price of the pieces or are they generally a waste of money.

This is the one that kinda struck my fancy... I like the shape and that it can be used for two functions. But I really don't have much experience in buying nicer glass pieces especially anything with percs.

When purchasing from Steven add a message saying bubble wrap extra. Mine had plenty of protection

Received a broken rig from Kathy but she said she sent out a replacement. So far so good with both of those sellers

I was told I would get better results moving my thread into this one..and I can see why...

I know there are several other topics on there about lots pieces form DH Gate that I searched over but really didn't see any talking about this model or one very similar. I know opinions over DH Gate and some of the products they sell are rather divided, I have never ordered anything from there or even know someone who has. So any tips or things to look for that may help me out would be most appreciated! Just so you know, the "2 functions" of that piece in the title purely means that it comes with a male to male adapter, some and glass nail.

They are nice accessories to have if you don't already have them, but there's nothing specifically "2 function" about the piece itself

To me, an actual apocoline perc is basically a tree, but the arms of the tree are sealed off and non-functional (or minimally functional? I've never fully understood how it's different to a gridded showerhead/puck in a slightly different form factor) and between the arms are vertical lines of punched holes.

TL/DR:
I've never owned one, but I don't think that's an apocoline

So I took a leap of faith and ordered this piece from Kathy0578:

Here are some shots of it with the fab family:

The logo was kind of an unexpected surprise for me. Turns out it was a mistake in shipping, someone had actually paid extra to have this made... They are correcting it with a small discount on a future order, which I plan on applying towards their Gordo recycler clone. But this seller is able to do sandblasted logos it seems! To be sure you don't get a logo, maybe include a comment saying "no logo"?

The piece was very very high quality, it feels thicker and sturdier than the straight fab! Welds were done well, no bubbles and none of that lumpiness I've seen on other pieces (ie, straight fab joint weld, those who have one know what I'm talking about). Joint was very straight. The function was surprisingly good I must say for what looks like a very simple perc. The perc and the small size seems to bring out a lot of taste. It's only passed by the FC-710 for taste, but this piece is like 3x the weight and thickness of the FC-710.

I see a lot of people talking about the Gordo recycler... I went a few pages back and didn't see a link... Maybe I skipped it?

Anyone have suggestions for a recycler or incycler? Concentrate use only. Really want a torus but only if it vortexes correctly so since I haven't really found one. Any other good options?

I've never fully understood how it's different to a gridded showerhead/puck in a slightly different form factor) and between the arms are vertical lines of punched holes.

I've never owned one, but I don't think that's an apocoline

If I'm not mistakem, the DHgate piece linked is a (wacky) tree with sealed arms and slits instead of holes. Seems somewhat similar to the apocoline, but probably doesn't convey the same experience.

I have to say-- after getting reamed out for going for function AND form on the binary matrix copy-- this is absolutely 100% the chinese functional version of the apocoline perc. It looks like shit but thats basically it...

Just picked this bad boy up (GB-187S) from seller "Yingmin5" on dhgate for use with my new E-Nano. Do you guys wash your pieces before use (in water, or something else)?

Mine appears to be spotless but I was just wondering what you guys who buy china glass often do before using a piece for the first time.

Hot water then ISO rinse, sometimes PBW if it still has a smell after.

Yeah, I do. You never know what residue or particles might be in there. I did hot water+dawn, then ISO, then a final rinse.

My favorite piece for the E-Nano. Yes I do a hot water rinse/soak followed by a PBW rinse. If you don't have PBW, a bit of ISO might help, but yeah I would clean as best you can

I've never had a piece come from China that didn't have a kinda nasty smell to it (I assume it's picked up from the bubble wrap or something...) right out of the box.

I usually just give t a nice rinse with hot water and some dish soap.

1 or 2 rinses and the smell will be gone
