Holy shit, that's a big unDamn, another Grasshopper bites the dust...
I think mid march (edit: changed from April) and early may orders are the ones likely to have August dates... I could be wrong.
I order April 18th I believe.
Also, im pretty sure that sneaky gh video posted is a loaner... Not for keepsies haha. I think they GH told someone in an email they already have plenty of people asking if they can get a GH early to review. I wouldn't doubt it if they give reviewers with recognized clout a GH early... That's business.

I think August is where a bulk of #'s are, I pre-ordered sometime in March and have it listed in August but I believe Ive seen someone who had a bit earlier than me and had a July date so cut off is somewhere in mid march where it goes from July to August

My ETS is August and I pre-ordered February 9. The cutoff between July or August ETS is those who pre-ordered sometime between early Jan and early Feb, because someone said they pre-ordered in early Jan and their ETS is July... and I can't find any data betw early Jan and early Feb.
An ETS of August does seem to encompass most preorders.

Mine originally said July and got bumped to August, but that happened to lots of people. I'll keep the fantasy alive and keep believing in an August ship date for me

I do very much hope you get your hopper in August. It's just that my ETS went all the way from May to August... and there are a LOT of hoppers promised to folks in August. Also there's their track record on promised ship dates. But I apologize for the little snark and hey I'm all for staying optimistic... go for it!

i figure being a little further down the line gives them more time to work the bugs out. But I still want it NOW. I really empathize with the holiday and early backers (and everyone in front of me).

Wasn't to be, it was my pain meds. I forgot I had changed providers and went to schedule 2, now I have to sign for them. Nowhere's near as much fun as a shiny new grasshopper. No popsicle molds eithermaybe...
I did log in and they changed my ship date from june to july, so now I guessed wrong in the poll too!

Yup that was me, early January pre order, from the waitlist, back when you needed a link to pre order as they were doing waves, and you only had a week to make your decision before it went to next in line. Oh those were the days, when everything seemed so close! lol
My original estimate was April, at one point in email Trevor told me towards the end of May would be the earliest I would see something and it might be ss before Ti (added my two color Tis in April, thinking it was close to ship!). Obviously things kept changing from there
Now my estimate is July like the backers (which I would've been, had I not found out about it in Feb2014...), but only for my ss. My two color Ti Hoppers are currently estimated for August like most other pre orders.

Nah... wouldn't say I ever really left this side of the fence. I hope this is the exception to the rule, but have seen too many things go this way over the years.
Honestly, I'll be surprised if they make it through getting all of the pre-orders thorough now out and keeping up with warranties on those.
If they make it through all of that and have enough capital to continue (or hopefully someone deeply involved has still rich and still loving parents), they should do OK. At that point, when orders are being filled instead of added to the list and we're somewhere below 7-8% failure rate, I'll probably send them some of my money.
But don't think trying to fit that $185 (for Ti) or more into the budget is going to be an issue any time soon. Will probably be spending that money at Christmas before they get that far along. Plus, I still have to get my custom nano!

So my math might be a bit off but according to the numbers on the grasshopper indiegogo site there are a total of 2,744 grasshoppers waiting to be delivered to backers. This includes:
standard backers - 1466
early birds - 120
holiday backers - 123
titanium- 484
color - 279
everything grasshopper - 72
8 retail kit backers x 25 grasshoppers per kit - 200
July is just around the corner so assuming they can pump out all 2,744 grasshoppers within the next 31 days (I want to believe this but it is doubtful) that still leaves however many thousands of preorders waiting to ship since they began taking preorders. Hate to say it but all you preorder guys checking your calenders hoping to get a hopper in August may have to wait a little bit longer. We'll be lucky if they can ship even half of the indiegogo grasshoppers out by the end of July based on their current shipping rate, which seems to be at most a few dozen a week. If there were any hope of meeting the estimates they set hundreds of grasshoppers should have already shipped out by now. Call me a pessimist, but I prefer to think of my self as a realist.
