I think it's only the screen on the opposite end of the one in the picture you're talking about that is removable, I think the one over the heating element is fixed.

I can see late July/August being a good estimate for when the hoppers will be shipped to everyone. I doubt you guys wll wait any longer than that lol. Buzz just received essentially a pre production unit of the TI hopper so I assume they are still making albeit minor changes. From what I can tell, all the improvements look good.

So Buzz just received a brand new Ti .9 version.
That's sounding like the shipping version still does not exist yet, meaning we aren't quite there yet.
Prove me wrong Trevor!

@Just Justin said they were metal prongs, holding the screen above the heater. Still replaceable too

Sorry if I said prongs, the three dots are solder points and I believe the chamber screens are permanent. While I had my pre-production version, I never had anything stick to that screen or ever get dirty and the screens are very tough and sturdy so I wouldn't worry at all about needing to replace the chamber screen.

Ah fair enough, that makes more sense. I agree that shouldn't be a problem, especially with a course grind as intended. Thanks for checking in and being on top of all these details as the rest of us speculate rampantly

Careful with terminology. Those would not be solder points (solder contains lead and NOT safe for the vapor path).

Those 3 dots would be spot welds, as I suspected all along

They may be spot welds, I don't know forsure. There is Lead-Free solder and it's used in most if not all vaporizers toda.y If your vape carries the RoHS certification, then it's Lead-Free forsure

It's real.
Hmm, so reading the comments, someone asked buzz a question about the change in insulation:
"Any noticeable difference in vapor/temp with new screen and insulation?"

Buzz then replied by saying:
"Yes. I’m still doing some testing with my roommate but the vapor temp seems a bit warmer with the TI model. It definitely cools down faster and cooler to the touch but let me do some more comparing with the SS model and TI model."

I really hope this is simply due to not enough use as it is still early, however 45% more insulation should display a noticeable difference...

Is your hopper RoHS certified?

Its hard to tell on this, its a minor difference if it's there. I may also just be trying to notice changes between the units, so more testing is needed to be sure. Since the Ti unit is cooler to the touch after a session than the SS unit (Ti unit definitely still gets hot after extended use), it would make sense that more of the heat travels through the chamber and into your mouth. It could just be the newer unit that is 100% clean, or maybe it is related to the Ti/insulation changes, but it seems like the Ti unit is producing slightly denser vapor on the same heat settings.

Definitely liking the new screen, I have used 5 bowls in the new unit, and the screen is not clogging at all.

Hey Everyone,

June is here and we’re hard at work producing Grasshoppers. Parts are flowing in and we are completing assembly tasks in bulk. Production is moving smoothly without any major issues. The testing mentioned last update has gone incredibly well and we have not had any unit failures. We are feeling very confident in the design. The many revisions we’ve had to make over the last two years are paying off.

Shipping is what everyone wants to know about and we’ll cut to it. We have units to ship, but our pcb manufacturer made an error on the charger assembly. They are currently reprocessing those boards, with an estimated one-week time-to-arrival.

As backers, you have waited a long time to get your hands on the Grasshopper and we don’t want to keep it from you any longer. To start, any Holiday Gift Edition backer that would like to receive their Grasshopper without a magnetic charger can email custom@grasshoppervape.com with the subject, “Grasshopper Holiday Backer”. You will be provided with a link to purchase a low-cost external charger. Obviously we want everyone to have the best out-of-the-box experience possible, which won’t be realized without the proper charger. Because of this we will be limiting the number we send out in this manner.

Our manufacturer is assuring us that the boards will be ready by week’s end, and shipping will be commencing as they arrive. Once we receive the new charger PCBs we’ll have much more concrete delivery timelines covering both backers and Pre-Orders.

We will be shipping units throughout the month and we’re working on a system to show real-time delivery estimates. Check back on the 15th for another update with more information.

Called it..i knew they would be the same clips all across the board. Also the pcb charging cable was the issue. They shoukd have told us beforehand so everyone didn't panic.

One more thing im not a holiday order. BUT i did order within the first few mins and would love to have the option to pay extra shipping just for the charging cable when its complete.
