Yes, that is certainly good news from the Federal Government. I just saw an old interview with Obama in which he said "Well, I really don't want my Justice Dept" making marijuana violations a priority. They have MUCH more important things to do!" (I'm quoting from memory.)

So then when I read the news I was really impressed that he followed through with what he had said. I'm not 100% for everything he does but he sure gets my vote on this one! (I'm assuming he had some influence over the decision making.)

With the local L.A. City attorney here lately trying to shut down medical marijuana dispensaries, it will be interesting to see how this pans out. And what about the Feds fighting growers up in Mendocino and Humboldt? I hope this means that sh*t will STOP.

Now, with Ahnuld as Governator, and former Governor Jerry Brown as Attorney General (a very liberal and sensible guy), I think there is real hope for decriminalizing marijuana state wide, not just medical marijuana. Let's hope!

As one of the dumb-asses that has stuck the wrong end of the tube in my mouth, I can attest to it being a total stoner issue - just like most burning was when I combusted. There is no equipment safety issue - it gets hot, be aware. When you don't pay attention shit happens. I wouldn't recommend multi-tasking, but that's just me. I think the thread was just a little levity to share more of our more "brilliant" moves when too medicated. At least that was my take, and contribution

the way things are heading im sure it will be completely decriminalized throughout the US in my lifetime...
it just make sense. hemp alone can save the world...

as soon as i receive my zap im plugging it in and while its warming up im going to prepare my herb. i recently got extremely lucky and acquired some really dank outdoor/organic nugs, 3 different strains! purp trainwreck (indica) sweet tooth (sativa) and cotton candy (blueberry x afgahni) i also have a bit of bubble hash and me and my room mate have been collecting kief... so we are going to be doing a lot of experimenting... =) so the plan is to use the shot glass and scissors method to grind the herb, i would use a grinder but i want all the yummy trichs to still be on the herb rather than fall through the pollen screen.

I got my primo yesterday and my oh my... IT'S BEAUTIFUL! I will post some pics up eventually. At first, the vapor clouds were barely visible but it seems to be heating up more and more with time. This morning, the clouds were visible and hearty. I can't wait till it really "seasons" itself well and I can get the clouds I want. What an upgrade over the Easy vape! Wowee

rick, do you think it would help to "koozie" it the first 45 min its heating up? I think i might just shove it in a glove so it gets nice and toasty. (i read someone did that with their pd)

MK, post pictures now!!! i want to see this beauty!

putting the little metal flower for aromatherapy on while its heating up can shorten heat time a few minutes, its what my friend does with his.

Wow, what a looker. Nice unit. Thanks Rik.

Our wood is not kiln dried so it has room to dry more. We would have to keep everything in the house, nice and dry if it were kiln dried as it will always absorb moisture in the shop, about 100 yards from the house. Seems to work fine though(keeping it in the shop). We have had very little cracking with the Myrtlewood and they do get nice and dry when left on for a few days. As for the "Koozie", we never have used one so cannot comment. The flower will actually dissipate heat so I am not sure it will decrease heat-up time.

"At first glance, I would normally consider this item to be a luxury piece amongst the vaping industry. My impression thus far from what I have seen online, is that it has almost been antiquated compared to other vaporizers."
I am slow often so could you expand on that? "almost been antiquated" I cannot relate that to very busy in Zapville for quite awhile now.

Hits will get better as you perfect the stem tip pack and the draw. Experiment. Do it a bit different til you get the best vapor. If you have not used this type of Vape, you will definitely improve with practice.
We do make good vapor with each unit before it leaves. On at least 12 hours though but that is the first heat-up.
Tester man..........it's Rick. Thanks

Edit re wood here.
Just got the call. My latest batch of wood is here. Missed the mail anyway with some orders so will have to drive.........about 20 miles one way. Ahhhhhh country life.

The context of my statement was in regards to features. I am new to vaping and all the expensive units I see out there are offering variable temperatures, fan units, among other things. I don't see why your product isn't worth just as much with all the craftmanship that goes into it. I usually attribute hand made items to be of higher value than those that come out of an automated line. From what I'm seeing, that isn't the case since yours is so competitively priced.

Maybe I'm just missing something on how product placement in the vaporizer industry works.

I have personally found the flower to be enough of a heatsink to lose the thicker-end spectrum of vapor my unit can produce without some recovery time.

So, I just take the flower out when I get home, give it about 15 minutes or so to "heat up" again while I cruise around getting stuff together, then it is good to go. On the days when I am home and hit it all day long, I just leave the flower off, or I'll put a couple of drops of EO on a sea shell and sit that on top of the unit. It doesn't draw any heat, diffuses the EO well, doesn't get hot to the touch, and looks pretty. When I'm not going to be using it for a while, I like to put the flower back on - it makes it very stealth (and, again, pretty)!

I have also purchased copper pipe end-caps as recommended on one of the threads, and they work as well as the shell, they just get a little hotter.

The new wood is out of this world. Shit, I don't know how to describe it and all I have are 20" sticks, not planed but based on the last few orders of wood, I can say this is every bit as nice or nicer. Incredible color, swirls and all that good stuff. I also have an extremely light stick with incredible grain patterns.

Thanks Quomist, I do understand the confusion that sometimes seems evident here on certain issues. That will work out with time though. As you can probably tell, we are new to the internet exposure game even though we have been around a long time. That's OK though. It is a good thing the farm is mostly done is all I can say as we are plenty busy.

As to the confusion question, I want to thank the mods for spotting an attempt at confusion(again) about AZ/MZ. The issue(brass/lead) has been discussed thoroughly in another thread and can continue to be discussed there. Here too but you will be referenced there as alot of people much smarter than me commented.

20 miles is to the post office. We are over thirty miles to town. Inland Pacific Northwest, "The Inland Empire" is where we live and have for 33 years or so.

Too much work to finish up today/tomorrow so will have to wait til next week to turn out a few blocks of the new wood. All I can say for now is it aint no plain jane stuff. Never see the real beauty til it is turned, sanded and greased up a bit.

Fire in the shop every day now. Cold here. Did anyone else go from summer to winter? Very strange plus 3 below 15 degree days in mid Oct. That has NEVER happened, here anyway.

Yours will go out Monday/Tuesday of next week like I estimated. Did not make it in tomorrows batch(Sat) but you are first up for the next. You will be happy. I have some nice chunks to work from now. Be there Thursday or Friday.

Turned a dozen or so new blocks yesterday. Now I have a new problem. What to pick for you. Send me an Email with a few words describing what you are looking for in your "Primo" choice. Maybe I can get a bit closer with that help.

No pics as I am not good at that and they are just rough sanded at the present. But lots of variety for sure.

my zap should be coming tomorrow or friday, ill make sure to post some good photos along with a review of my first vape =)

Yours is a tiny bit taller and fatter than the standard Zap. The grain and ART in the wood just said to me..."leave a bit more as my uniqueness is so special". You will see. If I took off that extra 1/2" or less, it would be missing some neat stuff.

One thing I do for quicker warm up times.
I have a can coolie that is made out of aluminum (I'm assuming), its metal..
I slip it over the top of the unit, let it heat ~10-15. Keep a close feel/eye on it. It can get warm quick.
I only do this for quicker warm up times. I don't nec. leave the coolie over the top of it all the time. It would create too much heat.

Also, I forget if it was in this topic or not, about recrumbling vaped duff and re vaping.
I tried this the last couple nights (I'm out of green)..
I put some duff into a piece of paper, fold it over, and grind/crush it together till its pretty fine material.
Pack in stem, and theres usually another hit in it.
Granted, a short duration, and low quality hit...but it is what it is...
And its a lot better than smoking the duff.. Which I tried too..

I can't believe how much I dislike the taste of smoke now! Go figure. haha

Thanks again Rick for an awesome product.

About time for me to hunt down some more EO too.
