Vapormatic that is awesome man thanks for the heads up!!

Ok just had an issue... When i turned the unit back on after a 10 minute session (to continue going) the bottom blue light started flashing really fast and sporadically and then the unit cut off .. but the battery was still fine. Switched to a new, fresh, battery and it was still doing it...

I tried waiting 10 minutes or so until the unit cooled down and tried again, this time it warmed up to the green temp setting and allowed me to take a few drags before the light started flashing fast and sporadically and then it cut off again.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Im only using batteries from Arizer. And I have only had it for 2 weeks. I do use it a LOT.. Like A lot, lot. Could i have overheat it or something??

I only had it do this when trying to many back to back uses, But after letting it cool down never had any other issues, You very well may have fried it if you constantly restart it after shut off.

Well, I just ordered mine from PV. I thought I was still going to get the free battery with the code but after looking at their signature I see it no longer includes that batt. Hopefully they will be nice and throw it in. :brow:

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this thing. I've loved my solo since I've gotten it but I want something a little smaller and stealthier for concerts and just walking around. I ordered an extra stem too cause why not?

Hello everybody,

I'm a very happy solo user but ever since the air has come out if have been slightly jealous. As I read and watch reviews the air looks like a really solid unit but I'm still not sold. If I had the ability to sell my solo for the price of the air should I do it? Or should I stick with the solo, what do you guys think? Also is there anything worse about the air compared to the solo?
Thanks for the help.

I'm in the reverse situation - I'm thinking of buying a Solo though I already own the Air. But not as a replacement, I want it as a substitute. I love the Air so much that I'm getting worried about the overall life of the unit. I'm using it around 10 times per day, sometimes up to 20. And that doesn't include when friends visit or i visit them (that's when it REALLY gets used). So in your case, not only will you use the Air just as much as your Solo, you will use it much more - purely for reasons of portability, mobility and stealth. I agree with stark1 and VANVAS - if you can afford it, get both.

My other option is to buy another Air as a backup, but a much cheaper alternative would be the Solo. I was even thinking of waiting for Arizer to make a new version of the Air (Air 2.0?), but that probably wont happen since they never updated the Solo or Extreme Q. One can dream, right? :mmmm:

A Solo would be a wise choice as vaporizer number 2 or number 1. It is a very well made device and can hold up to every day vaporizing. The portables aren't meant to be a daily driver IMO.

I'm sure you can find one through PUFFITUP.

They did do a few upgrades for both of those over the year's. The Air has already been changed a bit, My unit lack's the battery indication that the one's being sold now have.

I may have fried it. I let it sit for an hour and its still doing it. I dont know what else to try.

Only had it 2 weeks :bang:

I guess ill contact aroma-tek and let them know about the issue.

Once it gets situated i will go back to using the EQ at home so im not over using the Air. I do go through 3 or 4 sessions back to back at least twice a day and single and double sessions in between... so maybe the Air cant handle that load. I didnt think it would have any issues though, i have ran the EQ for DAYS.

With just two weeks since new, the Air should be more robust. Should the company honor it's warranty?
Seems they backed their warranty on their Solo with good faith.

whoops. Nitecore?

I been using the nitecore charger but only using the Arizer batteries.

I would think, and hope, that they would honor the warranty this soon after purchase. At this point im not going to think they wont anyways, ill wait till i hear back from the company.

Oh and forgot to mention a log is better for home due to less resistance. The resistance isnt as bad but still noticeably worse with a smaller water pipe. But a huge difference when you goto a larger water pipe (16" double honeycomb, with turbine splash guard). I just ran the air at red through it, different experience because of the draw resistance. Then I ran my enano through it and effortless hits. Also noticeably smoother (even though im at a high heat on the nano as well).

Basically air is an amazing portable, with 3 swappable batteries I dont really miss the solo. But at home it and the solo both cant compete with volcano, cloud+, or enano (my favorite). And it shouldnt have to given its a portable and its less than many of those desktops

Damn that's a bummer, but I wouldn't worry too much about getting a replacement - they shouldn't have a problem honoring the warranty. You bought it from Aroma Tek? I don't see why they wouldnt replace it hassle-free, unless they claim that you weren't using "official" batteries which you can provide proof that you were. I've been using my AA about 10 times daily, maybe 2-3 back to back sessions at once. I've also had that quick flashing blue light happen once, and that happened during a 5-6 back to back session with friends. So it's safe to assume that quick-flash light is a warning of overheating (good to know).

You don't wan't to tell them that i'm pretty sure that could void warranty. I just charge mine in the unit because i won't sure if anything bad would happen.

Log's are the best desktop's currently if you ask me. I been on the H.i wait list about 13 month's had a nano for 14 and a dog for 2.

Is there any chance that the Nitecore could be the problem? I just got one myself. But I know theres more than a few people in here that own and use a Nitecore for their AA. No one's had a problem except WoodVillain?

Noob question. Do I have to charge this for the first time as I would my Solo? I could search battery and charge but I imagine it would come back with half of the thread. Hehe. Thanks in advance!

Oh yea me too, i just forgot, i only charge in the unit too... Yea thats right. ;)

I have had the unit off since earlier, and i plan to give it one more try later on tonight and see if it cooled down enough and reset itself or something. If not ill go ahead and clean it up and get it ready to send back.

Next time ill take it easy on it a bit more... The EQ will just go back to getting more use. Sucks my PVHES will be here next week but i may not be able to try it out for a bit.

I seen that log vape thing in the classifieds, looks sweet and looks like a good package deal too. If only money was free :D

@WoodVillain , does you have installed the skin that comes with the AA?

No i dont use the skin. Makes it a pain to get out the sheath or pocket.

If you go with a log your probably going to wan't voltage control, And the nano already has a more standard type of control on it. I also find it to be a bit smoother than underdog, But either way a log vape will keep you from wanting to use the Air at home as much.

Way off topic but how is it smoother? both have glass stems of about the same length? Unless one strain was smoother or the temp was different

Oh i dont think ill be getting a log vape. I love my EQ for home use, so if im using a vape that plugs in its the EQ, i just started using the Air all the time because it was so mobile.

Sorry for the off topic but i honestly find it smoother even using the same stem with the nano clearly higher.

Either way there both great to go with the Air for home use.
