Do you guys notice any difference in the draw with the 70mm? I havent used one of those yet. Mine only came with 1 60mm with mp, straight stem, one bent stem, and the aroma-therapy dish.

I still have 2 good 60mm ones left, as i ordered extras originally, but i like taking 4 pre-loads with me. Makes things quick and easy. I have been using the bent stem as well but prefer the ones with MP... I guess ill place an order for 2 of the 70mm ones from PIU and have 2 of each with mp.

In my defense, i didnt mean to throw the stem.... In Arizer's defense, it hit the ground pretty hard and only the bowl end broke off on about 40% of the area you pack with herb. Pretty tough things. I expected it to shatter.

How do you throw a stem without meaning to? Well..... After the kids went to sleep me and the wife were playing around and after a few sessions... We started throwing the kids toys at each other... I had a handful of play-doh in one hand and the stem in the other.... I guess i grabbed the stem with the wrong hand :doh:

I guess that means it works though :rofl:

It depends (doesn't it always?). I got an early version Air with both capped stems, they're basically identical WRT draw, bowl capacity and length being the differences.

However, it seems later production has larger holes. I'm going to assume this is going to be the future size and latest production stems will have larger holes. The spare stems I got from Arizer (70mm, the only ones offered at the time) came with small holes. When they are exhausted, I'm betting they go to larger holes across the board? Easier to make and 'gives better flow' even if letting more debris through.

Obviously not true. Other lions have such carnal knowledge.......or there wouldn't be any more lions to fear don'ch know? My assumption it it takes a fair bit of tact and care, the risks are much higher than cruising the local singles bar......

Sorry, you lost me..... What little gaskets? The rubber washer between the cap and the glass part? Yes, IMO doing so provides some 'give' at that point, protecting both plastic and glass?

Was that it?

If the question is 'do you use rubber tube between the MP cap and that little bubbler, the answer is the sam I think? There you need a seal of course, but having some flex gives you a better chance of surviving a bump without becoming yet another Ataxian wannabe.....

Yes I meant the little rubber washer thing. I seem to have taken mine out without remembering. Must've tossed them. Hopefully I don't tighten the plastic too tight.

Wow! You just jogged what's left of my memory.....from last year. I came up with this fix for the one I lost:

A short piece of small tube inside the neck with a shorter piece of the next size up doing the actual seal (the small tube keeps it centered). Works fine.

I offered to send some of each size to those who PM'd me asking (four or 5??)......I was going to do it in January, but.......

First off apologies to those 4 or 5 guys were too polite to PM and ask 'what happened'......I screwed up and spaced it out, that's what happend.

If you, or anyone else out there would like some to play with PM me and I'll send you some......or try to remember to at least....

I just got a new shorty stem from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd . I'll post some pics when I get home but I really prefer it to the stock stems with the plastic tips and I definitely recommend them. It has the nice airflow of the solo stem but has the smaller form factor and I really like the basket screen. Joda didn't get to show off his artistic skills because I went for "stealth black" but it is a solid piece.

I totally watched that this morning:rofl:, So is piu going to start selling the 60mm stem at any point?
As far as screen's go i highly recommend screen's between the glass and mp, They not only catch more particle's for those who like a fine grind but also collect a bit of oil.

Can we see? JoDa's gong is my most used stem for the air.

Awesome!! I still rock my acrylic mflb stems from some dude around here ;)

The smaller one is 1/8 X 1/4. The short one 'nests', 1/4 X 3/8. I use a lot of the latter for various stuff. I also use the next size up, 3/8 X 1/2. Fir instance here:

It's used as a gasket so the round top can grip the flatted MP. Seals great, too (passes the 'suck test'). Notice I cut the cap used to cover the bowl off about half way? It's high temperature, of course, but can now be very easily snapped on a hot stem (which is then capped and thrown into the nearest shirt pocket).

For sure you're right there, notice how everyone has their back to the wall?

Your call. FWIW I was in the process of making another flat washer gasket (I was going to slit a piece of tube and use the wall, punching out a round with a hole in it). When I went to get the tube to do it, the other solution occurred to me. You might try that?

i didnt mean for use in the Air. i just meant where they rate in regards to safety in general compared to the sonys. the INRs are very safe.

Sorry, you fooled me by asking it on the Air thread I guess? In the general cases I think think both makers, along with Panasonic and a few others make 'plenty safe' batteries, I put them in the same class in that respect I guess.

In air they're still in the same class......the 'don't use them' class?

As you can see here the Air fits length wise perfect, with plenty of extra room for stems, spare batteries, herb, etc.

This is not something I intend to carry around for regular use, but something to pack everything in for a trip, or overnighting.

Well I been reading over a good bit of this thread and watched several video reviews and I'm still having a really hard time deciding between the Air or the Solo. My good friend has a Solo and I really enjoying using it when I visit him and he says it's his daily driver and pretty much retired his other units. But I've been really intrigued by the Air, I like it's a little more portable. For those of you who have an Air, what do you think of it after having a few weeks and several sessions later? And for those of you have both the Air and the Solo, which one do you say wins out over all?

Far as buying the Air, are any of those "authorized dealers" on Ebay legit? I was a little unsure since they have some listed for just under $200 and most vape sites the Air is well over the $200 mark.
Will any of the more known vape sites do a price match for under the $200 mark, or do the not consider Ebay sellers when price matching?
