I finally got a replacement FC-187. Now I can use my JoDa drop the way it was intended. Finally it gets the love it deserves!

@DieHard did you make that little cage that goes around your coil?

That looks sweet and probably prevents accidental hand/arm burns pretty well :D

First ever SSV GonG that I know of, thanks @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd. You also inspired me to get off my ass and make a light box.

A quick and dirty photo session, I didn't get it worked because I wanted to see if the concept works first:

I'm in fucking love with this piece. Thick hit after thick hit without messing with the damn whip. Now to wait and see how the LSV compares,.

Edit: This fits the nano basket screens. Log size loads, :)

That heat shield is an option from Errlectric. $15. With the nail at 700F (lately I'm dabbing at 580F) you can touch the thing without injury. Or a curious cat also won't get burned.

What's the difference between a worked piece and a scientific one?

Waiting impatiently for my piece. I was fine waiting several weeks and then I found out it was in the mail. Now I HAVE to see it. Unfortunately if it doesn't come tomorrow I'll have to wait until Tuesday. Aargh.

So, after a Friday night and Saturday morning, I am very impressed with the carbed GonG concept. If you're on the fence about it, jump on down. I waited roughly 6 months, and that was 6 months too long.

I'm running a "lazy" setup; a 1st gen. GB-187 with whip and a JoDa stem as a mouthpiece (on that note, my next order will include a whip mouthpiece, have you done one of those before?). This is all powered by an enano. This sits in my office, I sit in front of a computer, casually load a GonG, let the enano heat soak for as long as I want, grab the whip, watch the bubbler action as I take a hit, release the carb, continue doing what I was doing.

Awesome setup for a lazy recreational user. Pause the game/movie/program, take a hit, back to what I was doing.

Note: @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd inspired @Tweak to make a light box. This inspired me to make a light box. Being a Saturday, I decided to test out the GonGs again and crack a beer (or two) while making said lightbox. Hence the questionable quality images.. as I quit half way through. The cat attacking her new box didn't help either.

As promised, some pictures of my new GonGs.

My setup:

GonG 1. Very happy with the way this one came out. @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd messaged me that he wanted to try something different than requested and showed me an example, I said yes, and what was produced was much better than my initial concept:

GonG 2. Very difficult to photograph, but I will attempt again. I don't have Photoshop loaded on my PC yet, and am stuck with Gimp on a Mac, so sorry about the stray hair in the picture:

All said, money well spent. A very honest thank you to @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd. Don't forget us when you're pulling in 5x what we are paying. ;)

@little maggie. hopefully the post office can figure out where it was delivered. My tracking app shows a map of where it was delivered. If they can't figure it out we will get something figured out. I really hate the USPS lately. Ever since the holidays it has been fuck up after fuck up with them!

On their website they post that they apparently had a huge network failure. Still that has nothing to do with this. Without insurance they don't do anything. I'm going to go to the post office if I can before work and talk to them. It should have been left in a locked mail box unless it was too big to fit- over 2 ft.

Yeah my local post office had a new lady working the day I shipped. She had no clue wth she was doing. So all of those packages didn't get insured. So if there are fuck ups I have to eat them. No biggy. I will. Id still like to try to track it down since it was sent to your town and marked delivered at your address. Not a huge package. My boxes are all 6x4x4.

@DieHard how much was that drop down?? how well does that collect reclaim? better or the same as the normal cheap drop downs.

@nihil do you use the "BREATE-EZI FILTER " without the filter and what size tubing is that? wont the rubber looking filter be really ssticky after a couple of uses? how often do you clean it?

I honestly don't remember the price of the drop but it was more than reasonable. IMHO. It was part of an order that kept growing and growing so the prices all blur together. If you PM @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd he will give you a quote for free.;)
As to the function, it has only one small drip headed down to the bottom. But it appears that it is gonna catch it well. Getting it out will require a soak tho, I think. But my reclaim goes mostly for edibles anyway.
I love the look and fit with the 187. I just need the RH sidecar( mine came cracked) to accommodate my leftie ass.

I've never heard of a "Breate-Ezi Filter," so no, not using one.

I'm running a modified wine stopper and some 3/8"ID 1/2"OD silicone tubing to the JoDa stem/mouthpiece (both links are to their respective Amazon pages). @Tweak gave me this idea, he may be able to provide more input.

I've been running this setup for 5 or 6 weeks, haven't cleaned the tubing, and I took my pictures yesterday. I hit this guy every work night for a few sessions, more so on the weekends. So it stays pretty clean. I'm also running 4 or 5 drops of Cranberry Extract in my bubbler and I tend to empty it every 2 or 3 days.

I PBW soak the glass every 2 weeks or so. If the tubing gets filthy enough, I may just toss it and cut another section. Or I'll attempt to clean it.. I haven't thought that far ahead.

Hope that helps.

so the modified wine stopped, all you did was remove the metal thing inside and cut a decent sized hole on the bottom? are there any uses for the metal thing inside the wine stopper?

Cut the tip off, which can be re-used as a smaller stopper and then just shove the metal piece out the back. The metal ring is there to provide an air-tight seal, which we don't want. The stopper is tapered so it can fit multiple size MPs.

It's made of silicone, so it will get dirty at the same pace as the hose. I've never cleaned mine.
