This NonG stem?
http://underdogvapes.com/vape-stems/nong

If so, you might be packing it too tight. How big of a piece are you hitting it through? Is it possible to post a pic of your material?

I get clouds like @paytonpenn

Sorry, I meant the nylon and glass stems. The nylon stem produces the most vapir. The glass direct draw stem produces a very very very small amount. I have also tried the long 14mm GonG stem, doesn't vape it at all. I'm not getting anywhere near those clouds with a bong or hitting it dry. Also, the material is VERY light brown. Not like it should be at all. I have left it on for over 24 hours now.

How is the abv looking out of the nylon stem? If you are getting good hits out of the nylon, then the UD is at a good temp. If not, it might be running cool or your material isn't very good.

Let us know if the nylon stem is giving good hits and darkening your abv, then we can go from there. Suck it up like a straw and brush the loose material of the edges. Slight tamping with a finger if needed. Vary your draw speed for each hit.

The nylon stem is producing decent vapor. Not nearly as much as I saw in the video you posted. The AVB is not nearly as dark/chocolate color
as my DBV/FM will make it. It almost seems as if my dog is running cold. The glass stems
produce zero visible vapor.

I have tried 3 different outlets.

Do you have another power supply to try? Stupid question, but is the plug fully inserted into the UD? Sometimes it feels like it is in, but goes in a tiny bit more when gently pushed. If you are feeling brave, and I don't recommend it, but the heater core should be too hot to touch for more than a second or two. Or hit the glass stem a few times and touch the end. Do you have a can coozie/koozy/cozy type of thing? Maybe even a sock? If it gets up to temp with an insulator like those, it might help to diag it, and it gets you clouds while you wait.

I'm sure it's either the plug, your buildings electrical output, or the material. If it is vape/ps related though, Dave and Amanda will be along soon to get you going, and you'll be blowing clouds with the rest of us.

Happy New Year!

sometimes with some strains (strange as it may sound) I find i just have to pull harder when drawing in a hit in-order to get hotter hits. Always have to pull harder if the vapes not really up to temp when I'm rushing to take a hit, But after being on an hour or two both of mine pretty much give effortless big hits.

I have the opposite problem- running too hot. I'm going to try changing outlets as someone suggested to you. But the solution for both of us might be a WPS.

His issue sounds like the power supply, yours sounds like you need to move the screen further away. VVPS aren't always needed. They are nice to have though.

EDIT: After owning mine for a while I find I prefer how my UD hits without the VVPS (not really TOO different with or without), but less clutter; at my old home the VVPS would go crazy and if I leave the room for 5 minutes I'd come back to it at 14+ volts when I set it to 13.0v.

I still feel like a VVPS is very important in the log vape set up. Every one even with in the same brand can run at different voltages, and while altering screen placement and using extension cords can counteract that I still feel like the VVPS makes it a lot easier. A good supply is important though, I certaintly know at times they can seem like more of a hassle than it is worth.

The extension cords do work. My original underdog was just way too hot at first off the wall wart but an extension cord tamed it down to very manageable. If I remember correctly underdog sent it for free because they have pretty much the best customer service as I have come across in the buisness.

If yours is running too hot, you can add an extension cord to lower the temperature. Message me if you're interested.
Must be the opposite for me,when I use the extension cord,my vape is way hotter than before,I get super thick cloud after using the extension cord. And I use the same amount of flower everytime. My screen is about 2 1/2 inches away from the top.

I would like to report back and say that I used a different strain and the cloud production was noticeably larger!!

I'm still not getting dense clouds, but they are there at least! It might be running cool by only a slight amount, but I'm going to mess with it a bit more.

Has any user created a guide to the different stems? As in, the differences between them and why to prefer one over another in certain scenarios? It also seems like a lot of you basically create your own and use them for alternative purposes (like a stem that was designed for a water tool with an attachment to make it ideal for dry use?).

So this is fucked up... :cuss:

I was merging three back-to-back posts and they vanished. Now I don't know who made the posts, but I did manage to retrieve the content. Apologies to the OP but please don't make back-to-back posts.

Ahh okay it makes sense now :D Thanks for prompt response

I love it love it love it love it love it!!!! This hits so smoothly and I'm lifted off so little! Gimme a sec to clean my piece up(I ran to CVS to get Iso while it was warming up), and I'll go ahead and try the 18 NONG and see how that works :D

Edit: It rips!!!!! I love it! Im going to sit down for a bit, once I'm able to function properly i'll grab some pix  I am so happy with this. Best investment of my life and I havent even had it 2 whole hours

I'm loving my underdog! Here's a pic of my puppy and my piece and one of my two puppies sleepin together!

Ello,
i've been using the Underdog for 2 weeks as of today and am getting around to post about it right now.
as you all know this vaporizer is hella lovely. the flavor is grand, and vapor production is wild.

it's not my first vaporizer, but first log vape. (also first post; been lurking fc for a while but just now found the conf. email in the spam folder)

quick question I know that underbutter is the optimal treatment for the Underdogs wood, but mine didn't come with any, would some Organic Beeswax from mill creek honey on etsy do the job?

thanks, cheers.

Hi Nicksy, we ran out of underbutter during the holiday blitz and some packages shipped out without any, yours must have been one of them. Send Underdogette a quick message and she'll drop some in the mail for you.
