The Herbalizer

no, the magnet on the bottom of the bowl released and became stuck to the herbalizer.

I went downstairs and forced the magnetic sphere back into the bowl with a couple utensils and it is staying in(for now) when I place and remove it from the herbalizer.

Oh wow, that is weird! Maybe that is why they recommend tilting the bowl when removing it. I'm sure they will get it taken care of for you.

Me too, but I will be extra careful from now on.

I am not happy. I can't find the replacement screens for the bowl. I was vaping concentrates in the aroma pad, inside the bowl, and some oil leaked onto the screen. I tried a 91% ISO soak and it didn't even touch the spot. I hate paying $10.00 shipping just to get some extra screens. I sure would like to know what happened to the extra screens that came with it. :hmm:

I bought some extra screens and aroma pads, they charged me $15 dollars to priority mail them in a overkill box when a 1st class padded envelope would have more than sufficed, and would have cost around $3.00 including tracking. Even priority mailed, the postage for that box is less than $7. I guess the overcharging of shipping for small orders subsidizes the free shipping for orders over $100.

I really don't like it at all, but I may not have a choice.

A new love affair.

Sure. It's kind of sad when you move on. You tell yourself, "it's not because it's newer, or shinier, or hits like a Boss". But it is. Seriously folks, it's a good thing to not be wedded to just one vaporizer. Yes, my EVO cried just a little, when I clammed up, and my e-nano snubbed me. But I gotta be me. I gotta be free. I'm a polygamous vaporist. I woo 'em, and then I abuse 'em. I got a harem of hotties and I'm not afraid to use them.

Go get any screen you have that you can cut to size.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. I probably won't be able to cut it perfectly, but hopefully that will be a non-issue.

***Edit @stickstones ---I just replaced the screen, and wow!!! What a difference in airflow! BIG difference! I found a bunch of old Vapor Warez Vapor Cannon screens, and cut one of those. I am using the stock whip too. I'm pretty sure I like this a lot better!!

Thank you SO much for the suggestion!!! :D

I just had the same problem, I just hit the screen with a butane torch for about 5-7 seconds and the residue burned off. Of course I removed the screen and was holding it with a clip.

My extra screens were inside the bag with the quick start guide and the sticker...?

I didn't try a burn off. I looked everywhere for the extra screens, and couldn't find them. Oh well. I'm pretty happy with the new screens because they have much better air flow.

Speaking of pretty glass things and adapters I'd like to get, do tell, where did all these pretty things come from and where/how can I get some?
(I noticed you added a link to the hammer one, but I more meant, aside from the pretty shapes, how do I even go about finding out what I should get if I want an adapter/glass attachment/improved bowl/whip system for my Herbie?).
There's practically as many ways to connect herbie<>GonG as there are herbie owners out there.
GBD (glassblowersdirect.com) or ioffer.com (search for 18mm glass) both have a good selection of GonG adapters. I use a low-profile 18mm male/14mm female GonG attached directly to the herbie bowl with a rubber grommet that came with a downstem I got to GonGify a non-GonG glass piece. Others have mentioned 14mm male/10mm female adapters fit the whip attachment.

So for now, us early adopters are improvising, but that's part of the fun! Even with my working setup, I'm definitely keeping a close eye on @Ratchett 's ceramic adapter! It looks like a great solution and would thankfully eliminate rubber from my vapor path.

Dropping that bright red screen in cool water may help it last longer. That's useful with my Solo.

With the clam, I just switch the two screens when a bag no longer fills before the auto shut off. It really does clean itself.

Sorry I read back a few pages .. They all leak lol
1)Anyone have a link to tubing that fits over the connected instead of in? Someone mentioned 7th floor before.. Is the 7th floor brand silver surfer tubing?

2) that tubing will fight snugly over the connector?

3) could I use a short piece of that tube to fill bags with? To avoid leaking ...

Would appreciate any info

Yes. Yes. Yes.

A short run of tubing makes for a better balloon connection and a better whip connection. Enjoy!
