I know it. Just when America is seeming to be getting a little better at recognizing people's disabilities. Actually I just found out yesterday that I may have to be moving back to the Flatdead Valley (Flathead) or possibly to Cascade County. I've heard both places are being nazis to the local medical caregivers, Cascade even saying that they may make it to where patients cannot grow their own medicine-except in a garage-type warehouse. If anyone's ever watched Cervantes' Grow DVD, they know that's one of the most horrible ways to grow good medicine. They're also talking about making it illegal to grow medicine in those two counties anywhere within city limits.

I understand that the city's need government help with government grants etc., but what ever happened to the 10th Amendment?

The 10th amendment states:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Also the future hope of becoming a caregiver for other medical patients has provided an effective way for me attempt to get off of SSDI down the road. I can't work a regular job because of my grand mal seizures. I think what the politicians should realize is that in a certain way, MMJ could save the government money by getting some patients off of disability who could otherwise not hold a regular job. Not to mention all the economy that stays IN Montana as opposed to buying it from illegal sources.

It is time that people stand up for their rights in a peaceful manner. There are legitimate medical patients, and only about 1.5 of every 100 citizens in this beautiful state have a medical license.

I spoke to an attorney in Great Falls that has helped the medical cause in our Great State. I mentioned these things to him, and he sounded hopeful to make a case on behalf of patients in that county.

alright i hate to be the bad guy (in most situations) and i am quite sure this has been discussed multiple times, but i find it to be quite the interesting case study in psychology, economics, etc. what am i talking about? the fact that tom quite obviously is creating artificial scarcity in order to drive up prices and probably buzz/demand/interest, demand payment upfront to be placed on a waiting list (instead of a deposit) and yet people here seemed to be either completely okay or in fact very supportive.

when i almost ordered one about 6 months ago and found out the 'waiting list' was something like 20-30 weeks, i took a double take. other manufacturers of similar products can assemble/whatever these things way quicker, so it's pretty obvious tom is deliberately creating this vacuum in supply. i eventually got a Aromazap and is very satisfied with it.

note: i understand there may be other extenuating circumstances - maybe tom is a slow worker, maybe he does not have resources like other players etc. but it is ridiculous to expect full payment for products not yet manufactured, although i do have to give it just a little bit of credit that you can get full refund if you choose to be taken off the list. most of you would not understand these intermediate economics, but i hope you guys realize that by paying whoever (tom or the website selling it) full price to wait, you are in effect incurring greater costs.

how? simple, time value of money. you give them money, get nothing in return, while they are free to re-allocate those money. even placing them in a bank account earns them interest, while you get nothing. is that fair? most people don't realize it's not.

i'm not trying to start anything - i really am not - although i realize it likely will. it's just that i hate seeing people get fluffed out of their money and living in blissful ignorance while it is likely that whoever's taking your money is taking advantage of your ignorance.

Simply put. No. No one is getting "fluffed out of their money." I'm friends with Tom and I ordered one and got on the wait list just like everybody else and received mine 3 months later.
the first thing I thought when i read your post is that maybe vapenow is earning bank interest on your dime but that's also absurd because you can get a refund any time you want prior to having yours made, and interest rates are so low now anyway!
Seriously there's nothing to worry about...

lol SSS. I just picked up some Medicine Man and a little Grape Ape x Skunk (Grunk). I know my Purple Days isn't too far off now. I'm thinking about a couple weeks out, probably 3 at the most. That's not bad at all. It's really nice that Tom and Pammy are putting these together for people. My biggest problem with vapes is broken ones. All my friends have vapes that have had broken parts from time to time. The worst thing is that the pieces on many of those units can be expensive. The biggest reasons I purchased the PD is because I like the idea of how conservative and durable the unit is. Not to mention, cheaper than many. I am highly mechanical. When I got on the waiting the Pandora Kit wasn't available yet.

Just think about this-A custom built unit may become a limited edition item down the road. They're all custom built, but a unit assembled by the inventor-THAT is PRiCeLeSS

My main thing is the fact that it doesn't have flimsy glass/plastic parts. Knock it off the table, NP. I actually dropped my LB on the floor (wood floor) and the top broke off of it. The manufacturer of that product has a great replacement policy. It's just nice to be able to get something that you can be sure isn't going to break. Ever. Plus it looks nice.

Answer, scarcity is created by limited production ability and corresponding high demand. It is not artificial. And since we are not taking orders your claim isn't well thought out.

The be nice rules stop me from giving you a direct answer, but you can guess what it is. I work 7 days a week when other life items don't interfere and each unit takes over 3 hours to produce to a finished state. Maybe others take shortcuts, maybe others don't do all the steps I do (I can think of several). Maybe others use soft metals that are easier to work and faster to process.

C) "other manufacturers of similar products can assemble/whatever these things way quicker" Another statement, as fact, that you have absolutely zero knowledge of. See above. And... Maybe you are mis-lead by other makers quick turn around (dis-similar demand will create dis-similar turn around given the same work force... economics involves math, use it, if you can.)

Doing final assemble of 30 units for Vapenow today. Really whacking away at the list. And as we get closer to closing the list out we have been talking with Vapenow about the future.

There will be no wait list after this one is finished. VapenNow.com will continue as the exclusive Purple-Days retailer. Details to be worked out.

The wait list ballooned and wasn't good for any of the parties especially for customers. It is a tremendous stress on me and Pammy. (In fact I asked Pammy and Vapenow, to keep me in the dark about the number of units on the list, since I can only work so fast and almost always work at full capacity, of course this thread made that impossible. thanks...)

When the list is finished, Amazon re-shipping will be another thing of the past. I have never liked that situation, bar codes on our product, environmentally unfriendly over-packaging, an impersonal third party shipper...

if you don't like a product or the way its being sold then don't buy it and just move on, its as simple as that. I think most people who paid for one realized they were going have to wait a bit, maybe it was a lot longer than expected but like you said the buyer could always get his money back.

maybe if there was no option for a refund i could understand where you are coming from, but the fact that the option is there it just makes your post a bit pointless to me. you make it seem as if there are no other vaporizers on the market, in fact there are hundreds, and a few that i think are pretty much direct copies of the PD, some even cheaper! if you haven't realized, everyone who is still waiting for their PD is fully aware of all of this, but still choose to wait because they know they will be getting a great product that they will most likely be more than happy with. I know i will after trying one of my friend's a while back, cant wit to order one.

in the end we are all trying to reach the same goal, burn some herbz and enjoy life, it doesnt matter how you do it but just move on.
