Perfect. Thanx Much Tweak. A couple of vapes have found new homes already today, and the HA goes late tonight or tomorrow. Out with the old in with the new. Gonna make changes in 2014 with the EV-2, UD and Hammer being my main means of medicating. Hey Remember, life and living is awesome.

Edit; even though I've only had some of the 'old' for 2-3 months. VAS

I apologize to all for my attitude and actions in here, insomnia has really been kickin my caboose lately, I should have stayed offline.

Andy has been great to deal with, he surely could have told me to go pack sand and rightly so, but did not.

Thanks Andy.

Oh yes, I got my package today. Man that was pretty quick! I love the Cherry wood and can not wait to give this a test run.

Andy has been great and his customer service has been top notch. He was able to change my original order from the Maple to the Cherry after I learned the Cherry was available again.

I'm becoming a big fan of the Solo, but as Herr_Dampf stated, a portable and a desktop are different beasts.

The EV2 will be able to give you much bigger clouds and better taste with less resistance.

Yes i understand the difference and you really cant compare. bigger clouds with less resistance is exactly what im looking for, cant wait.

got my EV2 today! Vaped about 3 bowls before i found the temp i liked. (was a little hot out the box my first bowl vaporized in one hit....HUGE cloud lol) I like how you can set it with the E-pick and then no one else can mess with your shit unless they have the pick lol. For me a 1/4 turn up from the negitive side seems too work great. I get light vapor and full flavor hits for mabye the first 4 or 5 pulls and then it starts to thicken up and you can taste a small difference in flavor. Once my temps were right a bowl lasted me well over 20 hits (im using the direct draw stem btw) over all i feel that the draw is about the same as my da buddha when using the direct draw stem. Nice long slow hits. I actually find it delivers a hit quicker than da buddha when using it like this,
Bottom line i couldent be happier, big clouds, taste is awesome, great for multiple people, and virtually no lerning curve.
Thanks to everyone that help me make the decision.

Oh and does anyone else get a slight whistle effect when you inhale a little faster on the direct draw stem.
Its actually kinda cool cause when i here the whistle i know to slow down my draw. Lol

So how does the EV-2 compare to the nano? Friend of mine tried the EV-2 and now wants a nano, thinking about getting one as well just...because I can. Any imputs from your side @SentientSix ? Dabbing isn't really a concern, due to my location I only see concentrates when I take care of it myself so its pretty much herb & hash for me.

My cherry EV-2 arrived yesterday. What a beautiful, solid little vape.

I'm not having the results that others are and am finding my ev-2 to run a bit cool. The Avb is coming out a very light brown golden color and I can't seem to get it darker or fully spent. Then again I only did four bowls last night but i'll ask,
How are you all packing the el-bowl and how much bud do you use per load? Do you pack it or leave it loose ?

I don't see my unit getting even near hot enough to combust even left on boost for awhile. Still don't know if it's technique or the vape yet though so more testing is in order.

I do really like the look and feel of the Epicvape and hope for it to hit somewhat like the HA with the whip, But Last night though it hit more like the NO2 on about 370f and I need a little better performance then that.

HELP ME, HELP ME !!!!!

I wanted to be able to use the whip, I have an underdog to use as my "quick do a stem" vape and plan on using the ev-2 for the more laid back type sessions that I would do with the HA(it's going to a new home).

I know for $70 or so more I could of bought a nano but the ev-2 seems like it will fill the void left when the Herbalaire is gone.

If my Vapo 2 wasn't so big and obvious when sitting out on the patio, my vape search would have ended when I bought it.

As it is I've been looking at and wanting an EV-2 for a couple of years so now I have one. :peace:

@RUDE BOY with the el-bowl I work it pretty much like a DBV wand, suck it up, put it in, take a few sips, open, stir, take another few sips. Not sure if any pack technique can change that. I get pretty good taste and nice clouds over a much longer period as I would on my DBV, at least thats my impression.
Glass is where the fun is though. The combo LY003 and EV-2 converted a combuster last weekend. I think we nibbled up to an hour on each GonG I filled. Every time I thougt now its spent the thing kept spitting vapor. Granted, the last 4 or 5 hits tasted like unwashed ass, but it worked.

When I turn my unit on boost, it will combust, especially if I draw to slow. Are you in the US using the EV-2 via a native 110V outlet? I could imagine a weak stepdown converter could produce the effects you describe if you are in a 220/240V country like me. Otherwise, try to play with the heat settings. If everything fails, you know who's DA MAN. ;)

I was using a lite(lightweight) extension cord. Tonight I'll try plugging it directly into the socket if I can get help to move some furniture so I can reach a couple sockets on different circuits. Maybe that'll help.

Were all different!
FLAVOR is critical for me.
The WHIP I can't handle the taste.
Some people can?

NANO = Water
VAP2 = DRY (Glass)
I plug my vaporizers in to there own dedicated socket.
It might be your power supply?

No clue if those can create problems. I have my stepdown connected directly, but I could give it a try and check out what happens when I connect it to a power strip.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Glad you got your EV, RB!! Mine wouldn't combust on boost at least not until it got warmed up. I sold mine to my buddy who broke his cloud, but the same thing happens at his place. When I had it I kept it on 24/7 and it would be warm to the touch. He turns it on boost to warm up and we use it right away but it doesn't kick in to "high" :) gear until its warmed up completely IMO. So fear not you have two options an electronic timer or that WiMo or whatever is popular with the clouds lol, or keep it on constantly but the amp load is minor compared to some of your other appliances and lighting setup. Also I liked to let the stem heat soak similar to the solo, when you see it forming on the glass you know your gonna get some of that sweet, sweet cheeba!! Good luck RB I am more than confident you will figure this beast out and thoroughly enjoy it!

I'm going to try plugging it in now and letting it get hot for a few hours before I hit it this evening and I'll try heating the stemload a while also. Thanx @SSVUN~YAH. I've never used vape with a wand type chamber(I take it this is similar) other then taking one or two hits so expected a little learning curve also never hit a vape that has a draw this wide open, I mean I feel 0% resistance and that's different for me.

I'm having some issues with mine, maybe you guys can help.

Received the unit today.

Using the male/male fitting supplied with the device and a swagger turbine.

1. It's been plugged in and turned on for at least 15 mins on the stock shipped temp setting, no vapor. Another 15 turned all the way up, not on boost, still can't get any vapor out of it. Blue light is on, herb has barely changed color.

2. Every time I take the male on male out of the device to check on things the removable screen sticks/stays in the device along with all my material. The outer diameter of the screen rim is larger than the outer diameter of the male to male device that was purchased at the same time. Doesn't matter what device I use on top of the male/male the screen still gets stuck in the vapes glass tapered chamber.

I am assuming that the screen/material section of the male/male fitting goes into the vaporizer and not the other way around. The instructions show the whip orientation to be this way. There is nothing about he male/male in the pamphlet.

ETA: Flow is not a problem.

Seems like your basket screen might be mismade or somthing mine never get stuck in the unit. And the screen edge seems to be dead even with the male glass edge on mine.

As for the vapor issue im not sure if this will help but this is just how i am able to get big hits on mine. i have the temp turned up a 1/4 turn from the right (negitive side.). I find the way i get really nice hits is too draw as slow as possible when starting your draw like to the point where it bearly feels like your even breathing in. Then soon as you start to feel a strong hit start speeding up your draw and finsh with a faster inhale speed.
Somtimes ill draw for 15+ seconds it all depends on how tight you pack it too. I usually pack mine up about 3/4 the way just enough so when you push the basket screen it it kinda pushes it down a tiny bit and packs it sightly.

Hope this helps

I haven't given the Nano much of a chance since I use the EV-2 mostly and in three configurations - direct draw, whip, and with a water tool and GONG. Considered selling the Nano for this very reason. I guess your decision could boil down to how it's to be used. If you like using the whip, I find the EV-2 El-bowl setup to be ideal and the basket screen makes it spill proof. If you are more of a direct draw or water tool fan, get the Nano for convenience.

I noticed on the website, the EV-2 doesn't specify a heat up time. My experience: turn on BOOST for 5 minutes, switch to ON for another two minutes. The wood should be warm now, at the configured temperature on the dial, and ready for a consistent vape. :leaf:
