I just tried some ground up herb that I used the MFLB finishing grinder with. Wow, what a difference in vapor production! I tried both GSC and Dutch Treat. Both great vapor. I was on a 3 the entire time.

It's funny if you look at it super close!

Cactus Cooler = 4
GSC = 3
Dutch Treat = 3
Dutch Crunch (DUTCH TREAT #5) = ?

GPD = 3

Speaking in DRY terms!

I received my M1E1 series Solo from Puffitup today. Have been very pleased so far. I charged it up and did a couple of burn offs while plugged in. I've been testing out the battery. I've been vaping on levels 4 and 5 and bumped it up to 6 on a few occasions, I've been dealing with some extra pain today. I needed the medicinal value of the herb.

The flavor is as wonderful as my older model. The vapor clouds are thick on level 5 and 6.

I had this bad boy going off and on for a total of 2 hours and still had 2 lights left on the battery indicator. I then turned it back on and let it run without using it for another 12 min session until it turned off. The battery indicator said 1, so I figured I'd be safe to start charging it back up. So all total it ran, off and on for 2 hours, 12 min total run time. That's a pretty good length of time for a portable vape that's running just on the battery.

The stock stem worked just like the PVHES glass with an easier draw. I used both and was happy using either stem. I notice that the end of the mouthpiece on the new model stock stem where you draw from, is smaller in diameter than the older model stem. I don't know if that matters. Also the mouthpiece stock stem was held tighter in place and did not wobble like the older model does, making it less vulnerable to breaking. I did not use an o-ring, I didn't think I needed one. I am very happy with this unit so far.

Arizer continues to make a quality product for its customers. I was very medicated and needed some recovery time before I was able to put this together. I think I will sleep well tonight, the pain is less and I'm very stoned.

Good to know battery life has gone up. I don't want anyone voiding their warranties, but I'm curious if they decided to upgrade the batteries. You claim 2 hours and 12 minutes of total run time... on and off, that would equal what, 11 sessions? That's awesome, on par with Centi's upgraded battery IIRC?

So it seems that the new M1E1's are on par with the older models with upgrades. That's good news, better than the M1C1 problems... I'm wondering what was happening with the other person's M1E1 now, they mentioned it being too hot at level 2 but you're enjoying it at 4 and 5...

Ever since rigging my power adapter for my Solo, it's changed completely. I don't bother with battery levels anymore, I just charge it up till before it's solid, and then use the power adapter for everything. When I step out of the house the battery level is at 7. Come back and throw it on the power adapter and keep going.

Hey fellas, just signed up to this forum right now, and i wanted to say hi all!
But on another note, I am extremely interested in purchasing a solo but I was curious about a few things.
1. Wheres the cheapest legit place to buy it?
2. I know this has been asked several times before but it gets such a wide variety of answers... if im vaping in my room, will the smell go past my room if i have the door closed, window open, and the AC on full blast? lol this is funny but bear with me.... what about blowing the vapor into the freezer and closing the freezer right after?
3. can i use varying amounts of herb when vaping with this thing or do i have to pack it every single time

Thanks fellas, and once again happy to be a new member!

On my M1E1 I like levels 3-4 (dry) and 5 for wringing out the last drop. Haven't played with 2 much, but it definitely isn't to hot...now I'm wondering who it was who was having issues with heat.

Welcome to the forum Haymaker94! I bought mine at puffitup.com, not the cheapest but it came with a free vape case and decent 4 piece grinder.

Smell: I don't notice any smell at all really, maybe a slight burnt popcorn...but the smell from an open jar of herb is easily 20x stronger! I did order a SmokeBuddy but haven't even bothered with it, vaping next to an open window should solve all worries in my humble opinion.

Packing: I think most people pack the stem full, but I usually pack mine 2/3rds full. Packing at 1/2 full caused a little bit to fall in the metal bowl, so I hold mine upside down if I do a light session.

I am BRAND NEW to this thing as well, the FC community and posters in this thread have handed out solid advice! Read as much as you can before you buy and don't be afraid to ask questions, that's what I did and made a wise decision :)

ebay is cheap and "legit" but either you have to go through the ebay seller or Arizer for warranty stuff. If you buy it from Randy at puffitup.com ($160) you can just send it to him instead. He'll take care of you.

I don't know, a lot of dynamics in play. How smelly the herb is, airflow through the room, etc. Vapor is less offensive than smoke and dissipates quicker but there's no mistaking the smell when using it.

Yes you can use less herb.

You're definitely not allowed to ask for hookups on here, what are you thinking dude??

Worried about the barely noticeable odor? Burn scented candles in your room! Very easy, very cheap!

I agree with all said on the M1E1, got mine last night and there were none of the negative aspects that I was bracing for. It only took 1.5 hours to charge when I got it. (from Aroma-Tek) The draw was nice, not a lot of resistance. Produced great vapor at 3. I also see no need for an O-ring, because that stem seems to almost lock in place. I chose Aroma-Tek because they had it for $149, free 2 day shipping, they'll replace it themselves if it quits before 3 years is up, and they threw in a grinder. There didn't seem to be any "electronics-smell" either, very clean. As was stated by you guys, the flavor was amazing. Thanks for steering me towards this awesome piece of kit!-Sundaddy

I have M1D2. My stems are quite loose. Almost fall out when hot. Afraid to put O-ring in because read about people striping threads, unable to get cap back on. What do you seasoned soloist suggest?

Thanks.

All 3 SOLO'S have seals installed.
Be careful.

I ordered my Solo on Sunday and received it from Puffitup on Thurs, Monday was a holiday in the U.S. It didn't go out in the mail until Tues. I paid extra for 2 day shipping. They also sent a bag of extra screens and a very nice 3 piece large stainless steel grinder, not some cheap thing either.

I lightly packed my stem 3/4 full. It takes me 2 twelve min sessions for my abv to be evenly dark brown, not as dark as coffee. I have my heat level starting on level 4 then I go up to level 5. Heat levels are personal preference I will go up to 6, but that seems to be a little high, so I only use it at the end of my session for a minute or so. I think the heat levels seems to be compared to my original Solo that I bought last July. You just can't beat the flavor, the Ascent comes in very close though. Heat up time to level 4 is about a minute.

The Solo has the least amount of smell of my other portables, but there is a slight order. A candle or popping some popcorn would cover the smell pretty well.

I will test out my Water Tool tonight using my new Solo, I have the Pinnacle Pro WT. I know folks talk about the F-Bomb, but I've been real happy with the Pnp WT. It's also a good price now that its $69 at VaporBlunt.

How well does it vape at 2? I think someone else with an M1E1 said theirs ran really hot at 2?
so tried my first 3 pulls at 2 got lil vapeor good taste, but no nice clouds. Went back to my normal spot at 4 and got my clouds back ....can try a full session at 2 later but seems like a waste

ps randy at PUI was the man with replacing my defective m1d2 1 week turnaround time

Mine runs pretty hot I think, I start out my sessions at 2 and get a nice amount of vapor. Got the M1D2.

Like some of you might remember I ruined the threads on my cap trying to fit an O-ring in there, I just tried sealing it up using plumbing tape like @OF suggested, I used anti friction PTFE-tape, it worked great and the cap fits nice and snug now, so again thanks for the help @OF!

I'm a bit concerned about the tape giving of fumes when the Solo is running, does anyone know if this could be possible or am I just being paranoid? I ran it dry on level 7 and I think I picked up a faint smell that shouldn't be there, but like I said I might just be paranoid and imagining it:)
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You're welcome, glad it worked out.

Nothing to worry about temperature wise. There's no adhesives in the tape, the PTFE is fine way past temperatures you can hang onto (the reason it's useful in fry pans.....). Enjoy it in good health as they say......

OTOH, not to forget the timeless wisdom of Doctor Johnny Fever, "But everyone is out to get you, paranoia is just good thinking!".

So the other day my Solo started acting weird. I plugged it up and 3 lights started flashing. I unplugged it and used the rest of the battery later but when I went to plug it back up it flashed the blue led then the 7 led then the blue led came on with the red charge led. It just sits there with both of these lights on and doesn't charge... Any ideas on how I can fix this?

The CHILLUM tip I buy for super cheap at the LOCAL SMOKE SHOP (LSS).

You can't buy one on line and expect it to fit?

This is what I do:

I take a silicone tip from my OMICRON cartridge and slip it onto a solo stem. I cut off the excess.

Make sure it's super clean and take it to the LSS.

I look thru their inventory of CHILLUMS until I find one that fits.
You have to physically find one to fit!

I have one that fits great so I can focus on other things!
Also this is only something I like because I like the feel of a smaller mouth piece. I never learned how to use a BONG with the big mouth piece.

If the large mouth pieces are OK for you forget my methods!

This is strictly gourmet!

HAPPY HUNTING!

You're right, as usual!

Found some specs about the tape and it is safe to use up to 260°C, so plenty of room there!
So happy to be able to use the Solo again without having to get pissed off every time I lift the Solo from the bubbler!

I have had mine(M1E1) for a few days and this thing is a dream for me. My friends were amazed at the vapor output and the flavor. I have no clue why it took me so long to get one of these. So easy to run the wife has it right now for her massage she is getting soon but i need that shit back soon!

from what I read so far,it seems not all solos have the same cap thickness... so the answer would be yes and no.....

I bought a handful of silicon O-rings, the known size #113 and a couple of thinner ones.
when I receive my solo, hopefully the next few days, I will report back with what will fit best.

size:
#113 (13.94 X 2.62mm)
14 X 2.50mm (metric)
14 X 2.00mm (metric)

I just received mine, it's a M1E1 ,first thing I noticed, it's small!!!

it charges faster than I read older models do.
fully charged in an hour +something (led was @3 initially)

and as promised my report about the o-rings:
(although it may not be needed yet)

all the above o-ring sizes fit but the 14 X 2.00mm (metric) fits best with the less pressure when the cap is fully closed. (not to worry about stripping the threads)
I can lift the unit from the stem without falling.

will do my first session later.....hope for the best....

....more later
