I don't know if anyone has tried that, but the KISS cart holds a small volume, so you'd be refilling it often. I guess the question I have is, if you could vape straight oil or wax, why would you want to vape ejuice at all? Ejuice exists because people couldn't figure out how to use wax or oil straight up at the time. Now that it's been figured out, why go back?
Speaking of which, the SR-74 is so much fun I weaseled out of work today... :spliff:

No i want to use the ejuice for nicotine. Yeah i heard the tinctures with ejuice didnt work well but thats not what i am going for. I am looking for a high quality nicotine ejuice atomizer with no silica and better materials. The kiss seems so have everythign I want i just dont know if it will leak bad with a juice that consistency or if it will wick well

I've been having clogging issues with the Okeanos as well. I was careful not to suck any wax into the top but it seems like just the reclaim from the vapor is gumming it up. If I let the Okeanos cool down it plugs up tight. Then I have to take out the center post and run it under hot water until I can get air through it again. I soaked the post in hot ISO and it still happened immediately after using it. Sometimes I've been in the middle of hitting it and it clogs. The Okeanos hits great for one session and then I have to spend a lot of time getting it to work again. So far it's just not worth the constant effort to keep it working. Anybody else experiencing this? Any advice on how to avoid this problem? On the other hand once I got the SR-74 running, it has been absolutely destroying me! Huge hits that taste amazing!

This issue stems from overloading. You can't load it like a kiss cart. Very small rolled balls on the SIDE of the coil, but below the rim (I use stable shatters and press them in). Works like a champ. If you clog it, then you're fucked til you clean just like the herc. Okeanos is just less forgiving.

Also on the first hit, run without sucking for two seconds...prevents bubbles from clogging airway.

In my opinion we just need a larger collar on the kiss cart placing the coil (and wax) further down while still retaining seal. Though we would need a new (longer) outer center steel tube section as well. Though this is not absolutely needed as I can make it work, but for your average Joe this would be a necessity in later releases. IMO


Meantime just master load size and draw. Like everything else.

I just tested a few okeanos and none touch.

If it does touch only way to make sure is take like lipstick little bit and just touch the top of the cart on the shell not the ceramic. Screw it in and take it out see if any of the lipstick has touched the top.

Please make sure you do a small drop not a glob. There should be about .3 mm clearance.

Mine touches via reclaimed residue. No issues from it so far on my end. Thought this was design related.

Thanks pal! Before I even got the Okeanos I'd seen your post about load size. I thought I was being careful but it sounds like I'll have to dial it back even further.

Thoughts on possible Okeanos V2 changes:

As Sleeping in Ca suggested, a deeper cup

Some sort of screen between the Kiss and the Okeanos. I might try and do this myself.

Larger air flow channel inside center post to reduce clogging

An easy was to disassemble and/or clean the center post

Just spit balling ideas here. If anybody else has other useful info on the Okeanos let's hear it!

Seems like a load up video may be necessary on my part. At vet with my dog....she ate something (maybe wax) that made her ill. When home.....video time.

the Kiss needs more than 0.3mm head space
i have ideas for a shield, that attaches under the bub, between the Kiss and the the tube up into the bub. If done right, the reclaim splatter will drip back into the kiss. (think short Dart loader)

you can unscrew the center post. Ti kiss carts are deeper bowls already, and working on a better solution.

I was really looking forward to the okeanos, but it seems like another rushed product lacking refinement, @THC SCIENTIFIC do you do R&D before marketing a product? if so id say maybe spend a little more time with the product before marketing. I have not seen one product from w9 that hasn't needed a version 2, or some kind of after purchase upgrade. I'm still following your product line and still have interest in your ideas, just not liking the way you push your products out the door before they work properly.

That's an interesting idea. My thought was if you had a spot in the bottom of the intake tube where you could insert a solid ball or cube of something like the Hercules Ti coil material. Then this Ti screen would gather the overflow/reclaim instead of it all entering the tube. It would be much easier to pop the Ti screen out and boil or ISO it compared to clearing the tube.

I find this to be an unfair critique. Being an owner a of nearly all things Persei, I feel I can speak to this issue. There is an absolute learning curve for ALL UP Tech products. This is the way it is for HIGH END devices of all types. We pay for the best NOW, and he gives it. We ASK for upgrades and he makes them....usually FREE! If there is ever a device failure...for ANY reason....he replaces it for the cost of shipping. I think you may need to re-evaluate your idea of what this company/owner is about.

Could this new solution be made to accomodate nutters like me who like to overload their kiss carts like.3 at least and mash the button until they choke? Only utilizing the Okeanos of course. Heh.

The way I see it all these sorts of devices are a brand new thing and very much still a work in progress. I did a lot of research when I was trying to decide which brand to go with. None of them seemed like they were perfect and some of them had some glaring issues. I decided to purchase from W9 because of this thread. It was obvious from reading it that G is pushing the envelope, but I was impressed with the level of interaction and customer service he provides for his devices.
I agree with Sleeping in CA that there is a learning curve (possibly a steep one) but once I've dialed things in I've been very satisfied with my Persei and all it's attachments. I'm optimistically hopeful that I'll get the hang of the Okeanos before too long. If not, I'm fairly confident G will improve it and offer reasonable or maybe even free upgrades.
This entire industry seems like it is in the Beta testing phase right now. If you want a completely polished device, then wait a few years. We should have it all figured out by then!

I've been loading very similarly to Sleepin in CA and haven't had any clogging issues. I'm wondering if some people are drawing a little too hard on the Okeanos? I notice I get tons vapor production while barely even inhaling. I usually have a tiny bit of wax residue on the bottom of the Okeanos after unscrewing, but never enough that it clogs the airway.

ive got no idea how to use this thing without drinking water.
even the tinyest drop in the bottom of the glass is pushing it as drops splash in my mouth.
my dab ended up getting wet from water leaking down and the coil is now making a noise as if water is boiling off.
I put in so little water, it couldnt possibly be user error. Im so confused how to use this thing. Please help.
1 drop, its splashing a bit, and 1/2 the time vapor is not going through/bubbling the water.
2 drops im drinking water and its leaking down the bottom. wtf.....
