Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Etch that regimen in stone for me, t-dub. Nothing like a fresh ELB and sparkly glass when smacking the EVO. I'm borderline OCD with my cleanliness when it comes to vaping.

Lol...I've become the same way, also. Though, instead of calling it OCD, I liken it more to a "spiritual ritual" I perform daily. It keeps me happy along with my glass and ELB's. :)

And remember, the venturi effect increases the air temp (pressure) without effecting the measureable heat of the unit. Only kicks in when air or fluid moves through the chambers. The same physics (the resultant turbulence) stirs the elb contents. I love fluid dynamics.

You may want to double check your equations/premises. The venturi effect decreases pressure (and temperature). The increase is in the flow velocity. Look at airfoils (Bernoulli's Principle) & Carburetor icing. Also, venturi tubes do not necessarily solely produce turbulent (Reynolds number > 4000) flows. Depending on their design, venturi tubes can produce any and all of perfectly laminar, transitional and turbulent flows, in relation to the velocity, density and viscosity of the fluid.

I love fluid dynamics too (at least enough to get a BSAE ;)).

... Thing is I cant get the consistency in taste and size of hits.
The dryness of material, strain, how much I fill the ELB, and temp all effect the outcome of the vapor taste, and density.
The strain wil absolutely have a direct effect on taste and density. Every strain just tastes and vapes different, you will get various vapors here regardless of vape.
The temp is also well know to have a direct effect on taste and density. Hotter temps taste worse and give bigger Clouds with any vape, including EVO.
Moist material doesn't heat up in the vape so much so it has similar effect as temp at beginning of the session. Also there is water vapor released at first that you can see and taste.
Fuller ELB should increase the density because these is simply more to be extracted. Also overpacked ELB are dampening the airflow - increasing the temp slightly.

So these kinds of inconsistencies are expected in any vape, but other vapes have more kinds of incosistecies to add. Are there any more in the EVO?

How often are you guys cleaning the ELB's?
when they get dirty :D This can happen faster when the temps are lowand the ABV is often kept in, not dumped out when hot.

I have to say, one of my favorite features of the Cloud / EVO is that it vapes any strain, in my opinion, pretty well. I keep a fine inventory and separation of strains and I have one that is 2 months old. When I get new strains I often forget about the old ones leaving me with a bunch of strains at 1 gram or so. So I've been working on reducing that stack. And every time I vape a strain I have not yet, it messed me up. This device is incredible. Problem with using them in the E-nano was sometimes they get charred on first hit since they are old. Cloud EVO I got a bunch of hits :-).

Also didn't realize I would love the detachable power cord as much as I do :-)

Almost there...
I had some still drying Swazi last night in the EVO.
Rough grind and then hit once or twice to dry it out a bit.
Empty out ELB and crumble, reload and hit it again.

That one ELB lasted about 8 hits for me and then i could not take any more!
Had to come back and finish it off later...
This is a straight Sativa so the high is pretty incredible!
I guess it also works for pain since you can't remember your own name!

The pressure increases (and temperature increases) at the narrow points in a Venturi-Bernouli flow, then decreases again at the widening. And you are right, they don't inherently produce turbulence - the way the flow is set up in the VHW it does not. But the way they are used in the bamboo of the EVO (and supposedly in some other vapes, but I haven't seen their innards) they do produce turbulence. We used sequential chambers int he EPA air filtering lab I worked in, and we didn't want turbulence and had to have the setup remade twice to get non-turbulent flow. That was in part because with multiple, connected chambers you are not just dealing with Bernouli and Venturi anymore. In systems that complex you need to take Feigenbaum et al. into account as well.

NOTE FOR HEADS: Feigenbaum was a serious freak when young, and legend has it one of his constants was inspired by the time signature in the Eleven. Don't know if it's true, but it's a good story.

When carburetor icing happens, heat is being transferred. Check your thermodynamics. Heat does not vanish; it is only shifted.

That just happened...
My theory is it would work just as well with a single restriction. It's more complex then it needs to be.

..hey folks, did some real experimenting last night any my observations closely mirror much of what's been articulated here....(even though I actively refrained from commenting in order to keep my observations uninfluenced...
...if I stay at 12 noon my abv will not be as dark brown on my evo as on my tickler...however, I'm just as baked, if not more...with less material...
...I can achieve darker abv by moving to 2:30-3...though I'm not necessarily more baked..which brings me to the question being probed...is dark abv necessary to determine efficient , effective vaporizer use?...I observed in this forum earlier how my lsv (like stickstones said) does not produce dark abv (like my ticker) but gets me baked...
...these observations lead me to believe that dark abv are not essential requirements....to take me where I want to go....

I don't clean mine until I notice airflow start to decrease, or if I have been getting lots of good empty bowl resiny hits :)

I discovered this by accident. I had one loaded and one empty elb, I accidentally put the empty elb into the evo and pulled a nice little thin cloud from it. When I couldn't get a second pull from it, I pulled the elb to discover I had put the empty in. I was shocked that I got the cloud I did from seemingly nothing!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Young @turk a couple of days ago and he is one of the COOLEST cats I've met. Even allowed me to use his HydraTube that had the VX Monkey in it! Good times, good convo, good vapes and only one freeway exit away. Happy Friday.

...pleasure hosting u man...very rare to be able to convey thanks in person to somebody who has produced such a innovative product, that is positively impacting so many..you are remarkable young man, with a great many skills...typing this on iPhone (which is very problematic)...more later..was truly a wonderful experience to share some time with you...

If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, I'd be happy to smoke out the Monkey and chat some MMA ;)

I'm trying to just hit the EVO at 9 this morning. I'm trying for the anti-inflammatory elements without the psychotropic effects.

The ability to so closely regulate the temps, and thus the effects, and knowing I'm getting a whole lot more goodies makes this so very worth it. Plus, if I can go to work, and NOT be "stoned", yet have some pain relief and the calming effects. This is a life-changer, not just a game-changer.

I'm still experimenting. :)

This is awesome....sent my cloud in LAST January(2013) for the blinking light of death after inky 2 months of use. (Warranty) Then suddenly the company had issues and has been retooling everything. This whole time I was told, emailed and phone convo that my unit would be replaced. Now I'm getting an email stating that I can trade in my old unit for the Evo for $250!!! WTF I don't even have my old unit! Vapexhale does! This is beyond irritating. I can't believe this, been on board with this company from the start and this is what I get. Seriously thinking BB time.

Oh I did/am...this is how they are taking care of it.

i can confirm also being in the same situ, your cloud plus warranty is no longer valid and will not be honoured like was said previously, your only option is to pay to upgrade to evo.

a TON of people were affected by the move to not warranty the old cloud/cloud+.

The only choice offered was to pay $250 for the trade up.

I didn't like that there was no choice, but I would rather have a working unit.

EDIT: May I also add, that I feel like the SM and the entire VapeXhale crew did the best they could when a manufacturer sabotaged their product. I am glad they didn't fold under the pressure and were able to create a literal evolution of their old product.
